DDA Chapter 4

caught up and headed for bed. I will check in tomorrow morning. Good night, friends!

Hi everyone. The concert last night was fabulous.

I've read everything but just don't have the energy to reply to it all. RL issues with the ex are exhausting me.

Here's a :grouphug: and :wizard: for everyone. Know that I am thinking of you all!

Glad you had fun at the concert!! :grouphug: for you--hang in there!
We also just found out that my great aunt passed away this morning. Joe saw her last night- yesterday was her 95th birthday- and said she did not look good at all. I am sad that she died but relieved that she didn't suffer for too long. None of us think that my uncle will last much longer.
im sorry robyn!

DH just called. He will be going for a pretty big promotion in the next month or so. If anyone has some spare pixie dust he would appreciate it! His immediate supervisor and the BIG supervisor are both encouraging him to take this step, so I know he will do well. But he is a little worried about biting off more than he can chew. At any rate, if he dosn't make the cut this time he will have some groundwork in place for the next time.:)
:wizard:

I did, however, get an unexpected promotion at work this week, and that certainly couldn't have come at a better time with all this!
!
Congrats!

Is the DIS clock wonky for everyone else now?
yessss!

I didn't put all my stock into that though.... my parents named me Jennifer for one reason --- it was so unique at the time! We see how that turned out! :rotfl:
i understand!

Jennifer--I love the names! i do have to say that when i was catching up and saw that you were posting pictures, i was searching, then saw the few letters and i was going to yell at you :)

So I guess I'm up a little early for my fight check in. (I got up when Bob left for work.) I guess I'll go watch some TV for a while.

It's amazing to see what's going on at others homes this early in the morning. My neighbor is going on a golfing trip - he's loading an SUV with three very loud friends of his.

Oh...and my other neighbor and I found a puppy yesterday! I pulled into the garage and walked down the driveway to get the mail - and there was a dog in her flower bushes. He started barking and barking and wouldn't shut up. So I went over to the neighbors and asked her if she happened to get a dog - Nope! He was tangled up in from his lead and in a choke collar - no tags. CUTEST LITTLE BUGGER. Of course, APL and the Dog Warden both only work until 4pm...and it's now 6pm. :confused3 As much as Bob and I would love a dog, now's not the moment. Plus this is a puppy. He couldn't be more than a few months old. So we call the Sheriff's department. They want to know if we can keep him overnight. Umm...no. (I love dogs - but not with three cats in the house that are now hiding in the basement - and the dog isn't even in the house). So she pages the Warden. An hour later I call back and she pages him again. Would you believe they will only come out after hours if it's considered a vicious (sp?) dog?? I'm telling him this is the cutest puppy, a little scared and hungry, just needs a warm place..his response "well unless he's vicious, we can't come out - so did you see him growl?" ;) Umm..yeah he growled and tried biting my shoe...sure. That's what happened. Mind you my shoe is not on my foot...it's my garage shoes next to the door that he was biting. The Warden laughed and said someone would come out. An associate of his was here within 10 minutes - and I swear he will be taking this puppy home in three days (the APL's waiting period). The puppy (apparently a Pug/Beagle mix - more expensive than a purebred!) The puppy about threw a hissy when he realized he wasn't allowed to ride in the front seat of the truck! :rotfl:
This is what he looked like from what I could find on the internet - except he was black, tan and white instead of all tan colored like this one:
bogey_pug_beagle_puggle_01.jpg

(Isn't that face just the cutest?!?)
I know he'll be adopted in a heartbeat - and I feel bad for the "owner" for loosing this dog...but put on a collar with tags! :confused3 Even my cats have tags and they are inside cats only....

Ok..rant over. Time to go back to bed now. I hope I'm up by 6:30am now!

I'm awake. :teeth: Just waiting for 6:40am to roll around for the offical printing of the Southwest Boarding Pass.

ETA: The clock is about 10 minutes slow for me.

delete my answers and type in your answers.
The theory is that you will learn a lot of
little known facts about those who know you.

Thanks everyone for the hugs, good thoughts, etc.

Jennifer- I love the letters (and the names that they spell :goodvibes). Emma's middle name is Elyse (I have a huge aversion to the letter "I" since everyone spelled my name wrong when I was growing up) It really bothers me that Lucy's middle name has an "I" in it. But Matylda just didn't look right. Have a great weekend with Kyle.

Lindsay- I am glad to hear that your doggy is on the road to recovery. :cheer2: on the promotion!!

Beth- I am glad that your leg is not quite as bad, :wizard:

Janet- :wizard: for Garrett, I think sore throats are the worse.

Bernadette- I love all the pics you posted. It took me a minute to get "she grew a brick" I had no idea what you were talking about. Your kids are just soooo cute! :goodvibes By the way, did you get my check yet?

Karen- Enjoy your weekend, and getting to spend some time with some furry friends.

Chanon- Great job on the present for Bob. :thumbsup2 I told Eric there was no money for the Wii and then we went out and bought a $400 Dyson vacuum, ours died and I wanted a nice one since I use it about 4 times a day. Needless to say he was very  But little does he know I had already ordered it.

I know I am missing things but I promised I read it all. and :wizard: to all.

Great recap Robyn, I'll borrow it since I am terrible about missing people.

We are here... in Hartford, CT. The roads started to get bad and when we called to check on availability at any hotel in the Brookline area we found they were all booked. We don't have to check out of here until 11:00 and they have breakfast from 7-10. We all decided to take our time in the morning and see what is out there when we wake up. Thanks for all the good wishes. So far, so good!

Glad you made it safely thus far, hope the rest of the journey is uneventful.

Well Brandon is back to his usual self, and his dad is dong great. He had the drain removed yesterday and he has to go back and have the stint removed on April 8th, other than that he is good to go, he has to take it easy for the next three weeks.

Thank you all for the good wishes.

I was looking into renting DVC points for our November trip, it sounds like a great deal but not knowing the person that we would be renting from makes me pretty uneasy, I'll probably end up making our reservations through Disney again.

Lizzy has worn the same dress for the last 3 years. I guess I got the $17 value out of that! She keeps growing a brick or more each year. Notice no pictures up on the mantel yet.

A few more pictures. Joe and Emma's cakes:

Wonderful pictures! Lizzy sure has grown! :goodvibes

Sorry to hear this Robyn

Robyn, I missed that your great aunt had passed. Your family (and her husband) will be in my prayers!

Very nice Jennifer!

I like those names!!!!

Jennifer- Love the names. I have a second cousin named Avery her aunt is name Elisea, not the same but similar.

Robyn sorry for your loss
Jen cute names
Bernadette love the pics

Jennifer - I love the names. My middle name is Elise (named after my grandmother, whose name was Elsie), and we've already decided that if we're blessed with a daughter, she will be named Madeleine Elise. That's what Jonathan chooses to call me a lot as well. You did a great job on the craft project, too.

We're expecting a foot or more  It hasn't started here yet

Beautiful names.

I'm caught up and heading to bed as I'm bushed. TTYL

Love them!!!! Love the names, love the letters, love the colors. They are just all around perfect!

Jennifer--I love the names! i do have to say that when i was catching up and saw that you were posting pictures, i was searching, then saw the few letters and i was going to yell at you

Thanks everyone! :)

You know - I read REALLY FAST to get to this post and I almost screamed "This is all we get?!?" I was about to remove the box of Thin Mints from the package I'm mailing you and Kyle...

...and then I saw this and all was well in the world. Love the choices!

So.... do I still get the cookies?! :teeth: ;)

I got no special treatment on this announcement?!!

You did a great job on the letters and the names are sweet.

I was being harassed! :rotfl: Thank you anyway, though ;)

Tonight, we celebrated my step-father-in-law's birthday at a local wings place. Technically, he's only 17, though he looks 68.

I think tomorrow I'm going to take Alyssa out for a little shopping (Girl's Club, as she calls it :goodvibes ). I want to hit the Payless BOGO sale before it ends Monday.

All of Kevin's new computer finally arrived (Dell sent it in four boxes throughout the week), so I know he'll be anxious to get that going this weekend.

This upcoming week is a busy one, so I hope we just take it easy.

:rotfl:

Where is the Girls Club headed? ;) I will be out this morning, but probably at VOA instead of Tri-County. I've run into you at VOA before, though, I think! ;)

Ditto - knew I was forgetting something in my earlier post!

How about a good AP rate for your August trip?

I'm on the same resorts thread as Marci, and everyone's endorsements have me interested, too. Thanks for weighing in!

Thanks, Tia.

Just noticed your signature - congrats on winning the challenge!

Congratulations Tia! You're doing so well!

Deb - instead of the "warmth" that Jennifer talks about I use "glee" because I like the pinker tone it has. But I agree that their brushes are terrific too.

Oh, that's another thing I love about the line -- you can use the same product for different things! I actually use the Soft Focus Glee Elin mentions as a blush in the winter (still with a little bit of the warmth in the "E" shape they teach you at the store). In the summer, I actually use Bare Radiance as a blush, even though it was initially marketed as an "all over face color" (like the clear radiance). And don't get me started on the brushes... they are outstanding! I have about 20, and there are more on my wish list but Kyle would kill me if I bought any more! :rotfl:

Oh, how precious -- a Puggle! A friend of mine has one of those, colored more like the one you described. Kyle would have kept it. He's begging for another puppy, but I'm thinking we have just a few too many other small lives to entertain around here between our psychotic adult dog that will freak out when we bring two babies, and the two babies themselves!

Have your cats recovered? ;)

I'm awake. Just waiting for 6:40am to roll around for the offical printing of the Southwest Boarding Pass.

Did you get a good pass?!

Good morning :)

Elin glad to hear you all made it safely yesterday. I hope today is a good one for you!

Debbie good to hear sil is home & doing well. Glad to hear Brandon is feeling better!

Chanon I would of had to keep that puppy, how cute! A co-worker brought in their baby pug to work yesterday, she weighs a whole 4 pounds lol Hope you got the boarding passes you wanted! I sent you a PM.

Tia congratulations, you are doing so well! I have no motivation at the moment. I do hope when warmer weather gets here, that this will change.

I am glad things are going well for you DD and her family and that Brandon is feeling better, Debbie.

I have found the DVC Board people to be very trustworthy and have rented points 3 times through that board. I also have a friend who often rents us her DVC points, and the process has never been any different. Maybe that will take some of the fear away.

I like Wiggly, Wiggly Christmas. It was one of Brother's absolute favorites to get at the liberry, even though he is Jewish! :rotfl2:

This one was Yule Be Wiggling. I do like them, but that was about time number 4 in the past week or two for that one and I was hoping for something a little different last night. ;)

Glad you made it safely. Good luck today.

I am glad you and Bob had a good time, Tammi! Did you like Capital Ale House?

 for the ex and  for you
Thanks. The food was good but the place was noisy. We were put in the back banquet room where there were several large groups, like the 'after work get-togethers.' But I'm sure the tables out in the bar area would have been just as bad. We found out half-way through our dinner that Constantine from a previous American Idol year was playing there that night.

I was looking into renting DVC points for our November trip, it sounds like a great deal but not knowing the person that we would be renting from makes me pretty uneasy, I'll probably end up making our reservations through Disney again.
I would let you rent some of mine, if I ever had any leftover!!!

I'm glad Brandon and SIL are better.

Good morning, DDA! Just a quick pop in before I've got to get ready for the zoo. Lunches to pack, clothes to find, kid to awaken. Let's go, let's go. Free stuff ends at 10. Okay, we can slow down now. I just thought to check and I guess the carousel still doesn't open until 11 even though it's Sat. That's the main thing I was trying to get to before 10. We can make the Children's Zoo easily. I'd still better get myself moving though. Catch you all later!

Debbie - Glad to hear the good news on Brandon and SIL! I hope they both continue to improve quickly.
