What pins do you collect?

I started off collecting any Stitch pins but that got a little crazy (about 2500 of them on PinPics!) so I have narrowed it down to Stitch in costumes or dressed up somehow. My HG is Stitch dressed as Maleficent from Disney Auctions. I also like to collect Zero (from Nightmare Before Christmas). Every trip I make to WDW, I buy a pin from the resort we stay at plus a pin for the year we went. I also buy the Wildlife Conservation pin from Animal Kingdom during that trip. I also like Halloween pins. Hmmmm, the more I type, the more I'm realizing that I am a little less focused on one or two themes than I thought :)

Ha, I completely understand! It's so easy to get sucked in and want to get almost everyone you see. What's your PinPics name? I'd love to see your collection.

My PinPics name is JediMelmac but I only have about 9 pins listed (even though I am up to 50-60 in my collection). I haven't had the time to enter them all in yet and I really just started collecting last October. Give me a couple of days ... I plan to add the rest this weekend.
I read on another message board about someone that just traded for their 20,000th pin!!!! I think my DH would divorce me at that point:laughing:

I love your pins! Can I ask, where did you find the Phineas (Hitchhiking Ghost)? I bought two off eBay, but am having a really hard time finding it. I'm currently watching three on eBay. I don't think I'll have luck in the parks. I also really like your MNSSHP. We're going this October and I hope to find some cool ones then.

I only have about 30 now, but it's quickly becoming an obsession. I agree w/ you though, if I traded my 20,000 pin DH might just freak out! :lmao: He loves that I enjoy collecting, but thinks I've become a bit OCD about it. I can't help it, it's so fun!!

I got Phineas by trading off of a cast lanyard at WDW in December, 2007. There were a few of the Hidden Mickey Hitchhiking Ghosts on the lanyards but they were not common and I really needed to keep an eye out (I traded for Ezra the last day I was there to complete the set)!
My DH is way more supportive of my pin addiction than he is of my Star Wars addiction ... maybe because he gets Disney but doesn't get Star Wars like I do

BTW, EpcotMatt2, I like your collection! I can't wait until I have as many pins as you do!

My goal is always to collect pins that are specific to Disney World (not sold in Disney stores or Disneyland, etc). I get resort pins (only from places I've stayed), ride or parade-themed pins, and pretty much anything that has Eeyore on it.

I generally don't buy pins online or at the stores. I admit I did buy a Black Cauldron pin for my husband (he loves that movie), and a "Year of a Million Dreams" set from eBay. Sometimes there's no other way. Otherwise, I wait until I'm at the World... which keeps me in check, financially, because I'd be in the poorhouse if I was buying pins all year long. ;)

I don't really have a theme to my collection. I pretty much just get the ones I like.

I am a pin collector in general and Disney ones are just a part of my collection. McDonalds and Rainforest pins are some of my main concentrations other than disney. In saying that, I am not too picky on what Disney ones I get, but I do look for certain ones when trading...

Anything Tigger
Resort / Cruisline / Vacation Club
Certain Ride Attractions
Cast Member Exclusives

Hidden Mickey/Cast Lanyards are fun but not the primary goal of our collection.

Every visit we make, we try and buy one or two limited editions to remember our trip.

Hey I want them all !!!:earsboy: :tigger:

My pinpics name is the same "TiggerDad3"

I dont have any theme but i love the rhinestone embedded pins. I got a really nice tinkerbell with head to toe rhinestones, mickey, minnie, and just pretty much keeping it to them. Anything with colored rhinestones i have been collecting. I even got jeweled princess but since im not into princesses i will give them to my kids.

If anyone's interested, my pinpics name is wdwgirl03. I hardly have any compared to some people! LOL. But I intend to add to my collection in May when I go back to Disney World! :)

I like to collect anything that catches my eye, but i love figment and Mr.Toad Wild Ride pins

I collect the Disney Princesses but mostly Snow White and Sleeping Beauty plus their bad guys/gals. But I also buy what catches my eye.

I'm also thinking about collecting the resort pins - one for each resort we stay at.

DD likes Tinkerbell pins.

We've haven't been collecting pins for long and it's been fun.

I really like your pin collection! I love looking at all the different pins people collect. It makes me want to get even MORE pins!!

I LOVE disney pins!! If they have DA....disney anonymous I may have to join it one day!
I don't have a particular type of pin I collect, it used to be all disneyland pins, now if I see it, like it, have enough $$, I buy it!

I collect Tink pins, cats, a few of the hidden Mickeys, Haunted Mansion, Annual Passholder (WDW) (which I am), and anything unusual or especially well done.
I'll never collect any Stitch pin. I do like the villans, though.
Mostly, I love to go to the Pin Events. I'll be at AK May 3rd.:yay:
Andrea:wave2:

I really love:

Retro pins (celebrate rides long gone ... E tickets...etc..., attraction posters, as well as some old pins I have from the 80s from DL)

Attractions (Haunted mansion...etc)

Monorail (just picked up a nice red monorail slider for the new Mark VII)

Mickey Ear/Mouseketeer pins

Special occasions (like EPCOT's 25th..)

Other LE pins.

Right now, I am looking for the WED pin that recently came out.

Thanks! I also enjoy looking at other people's pins (well, other people's Disney stuff in general).

Mostly POTC. And I don't trade my pins. (See my avatar!)

Tho, I do have a couple of odd ones to go with it...Haunted Mansion, HTH Key, and a commemorative one with Mickey and 1971 date on it.

Stitch and Favorite rides. I have a LOT of stitch....

My Favorite is one of Stitch watching the Mickey Mouse Club on TV.
