Let us know when you are bringing the babies and we will be there!

Lunch was just terrific, as usual. I wonder if the two of us got together more often if we would still sit and yak for hours.... probably! :goodvibes

Will do! :) I'm glad you had a nice time at lunch!

another Bill story....

we are working with a Chinese couple looking for a home...their English is not very good at all...so several hours of house hunting was quite humorous...but my favorite part is when Bill was trying to communicate the number 200,000. The gentleman couldn't understand at all...and Bill keeps saying the word TWO louder and louder...and finally he says, "Dos, Dos"

I had to leave the room....

Perhaps YOU need to do the ABD China excursion. ;)

Kristine - Mr. Disney has posted a new food porn review of Citricos and your luscious Hungarian wine was featured!

Bob (ANOTHER Bob with a March B-day!) and Kevin are truly fabulous! We went to F&WF with them in 2005 and we had a BLAST! We all got custom T-shirts from Bob to commemorate the occasion! He is an event planner so he had them printed up for all of us who "Noshed Around the World". They really are very fun. I would love to have the chance to meet up with them again but they travel at times that are tough for us to get away.

:rotfl: :rotfl2: Well, I guess I am dressed better than when I had on my old pajama pants & ripped sweatshirts (my outfit the morning I went to Kmart!). Now, my work outfits are going to be styling! I got rid of all the old stuff that didn't fit right or looked worn. I will look better than I have in 10 years (the last time my sister stocked a wardrobe for me).

Go, Vicki! Go, Vicki! :woohoo: :woohoo:

OMG! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

You and me both! I don't know if I could afford to go out with them though!

::yes::

I've often wondered if they need a long-lost niece! :rotfl:

Elizabeth, I've been thinking of you all day. I have officially gone off the deep end and baked SIX boxes of cake mix today!!!

24 French Vanilla cupcakes for Alyssa's play date/open gym luncheon on Thursday

24 yellow cupcakes for Alyssa's classmates (afternoon preschool) on Thursday

24 Funfetti cupcakes for Alyssa's Fancy Nancy party on Saturday

2 ten inch Funfetti round cakes that will be used for Alyssa's birthday butterfly cake on Thursday night and another butterfly cake for a family celebration on Sunday

2 ten inch chocolate round cakes for Kevin's youngest brother for the family April birthday celebration on Sunday

2 ten inch yellow round cakes for Kevin's other brother for our family April birthday celebration on Sunday

Everything's going in the freezer to be frosted later. And now I have butter softening to whip up two batches of cut-out cookie dough later tonight.

I am INSANE!!! :rotfl:

In between all the baking, Alyssa and I hit the Carters store and spent $50 on some adorable froggie clothes and a frog plush for Noah. That will be his "theme" for his 1 week, 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, and 12 month pictures. (We tracked Alyssa's growth with a stuffed bunny and Matty's growth with a stuffed duck.) Jen, I have a spend $50, save 20% coupon good for April, if you'd like it. I'm not allowed to go back there. ;)

Now I'm going to step away from the sugar and grill some pork chops for dinner.

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday! :wave2:

OMG, woman! You ARE insane!!

When should I be over? ;) I love Funfetti! (hmmm...I do have a mix and frosting in my pantry right now...)

I had a productive day. I got lots of laundry done and went to the grocery store to fill my empty shelves. I spent $400 on groceries. Why is it that I think nothing of spending $400 on food that will last a month or so but stressed over spending $400 on clothes for myself that will last a couple of years? Mom ended up paying for the clothes but still, I don't understand myself. :confused3

See, I have the opposite problem! I hate spending that kind of $$ at the grocery store, but would happily buy myself something fun! :rolleyes1

Amy - Are you thinking of me because I am a kitchen disaster or for some other reason? :rotfl2:
I don't think I have baked cupcakes since DS was in Kindergarten. I don't have a container to put them in, so I never make them. Besides, the kitchen is a dangerous place.

Since nothing is frosted yet, you could join us for Thursday's, Saturday's or Sunday's parties. :goodvibes

Well, I know you love cake, but I might have been thinking about what a culinary master you are. ;) You can use a shirt box for cupcakes, you know. :rotfl:

Everyone- thanks so much for the hugs and pixie dust. I talked to Joe for about 2 minutes before the cell cut out. I heard him ask me how the weather was when he really asked how his mother was! I couldn't for the life of me figure out why the weather here was on his mind. :rotfl: He does not remember last night at all, just waking up in the hospital. I do know this car was totaled, he just bought it in February. I tried to call him when we got home but apparently he was discharged. I take that as a good sign. I hope to hear from him soon, he doesn't have his cell phone (I assume it was left in his car) and he doesn't have a landline.

Continued prayers for Joe, Robyn. That does sound good that he's been discharged. :wizard:

Did you buy any candy today? ;)

2 bags of Starbursts and some Nutter Butters!

I may have to agree with Kevin, you are insane!:goodvibes

Hey, I thought you were on MY side! :snooty: :rotfl:

Honestly, I'm not really sure why I'm baking the cakes for his brothers. One brother is much younger (turning 11), so I thought he should have his own cake, but by doing that, I know the almost 33-year-old brother would pout if he didn't have his own cake, too! :upsidedow

How sweet of you, I'm sure they will appreciate it! I just wanted to get a rise out you, nothing better than teasing a pregnant woman!!

I think that I am ordering a plain decorated cake from Costco, I'm too lazy to bake one!

A lot of times the only time they cause symptoms is when they move into the urinary tract, when you have sudden pain on one side of the back, which sometimes radiates to the side or abdomen. Sometimes you can have nausea or vomiting with it. When the stone moves down farther (if it's going to), you can have blood-tinged urine and/or pain when urinating.

Regardless, I sympathize with your frustration on back pain being blown off. I have had the same problem with a doctor I usually love -- it's just so easy to assume "back pain" is a lumbar strain or something, even when sometimes it's completely unrelated. I hope you feel better soon! :wizard:

I've pain in the back and over to the side. It makes sleeping really difficult.
Looking back, I wonder if I've had this before. Everyone is the family suffered over Xmas and NY with the nasty virus. I got it and the stomach cramps just got worse after being ill. I was sleeping on a heating pad, or trying to. I finally took a darvocet and a few days later felt okay. Now I'm wondering..... It's the same uncomfortable feeling in the back where I can't or lay in anyway comfortable.

I had a kidney stone once but can be of no help. It was found during a routine exam. I was scheduled for a lithotripsy (put you in a tub of water and they zap it ultrasonicly). Well, it moved, I didn't have any pain, doctor was upset I didn't call, had to move it back up using a stink to where they could do the litho. It is outpatient where they find you a bed in the hospital somewhere for the night. Get up in the morning, they pull the stint out, and I'm in the most excruciating pain of my life (but not in my back). Probably like childbirth but never ending. They gave me shots for the pain. I checked out hoping I could deal with the pain and had to check myself back in. It was horrible! They put the stint back in and that relieved the pain. Never again!!!!! The doctor told me that had never happened to him in 1000's of procedures. He explained that the problem was probably that when they pulled the stint out, all the little fragments tried to pass through together making the stone bigger with air pockets (like pouring sugar in a funnel too fast and it gets stuck).

I swear that it would have just passed with no pain. I've probably had more of them since with no pain. Never again!

If they can do something about them, I wonder why they keep my friend Deb suffering all the time. Like I said, she always ends up in the hospital with them. Perhaps she passes them before they can?

I did read they can cause high blood pressure, and the Dr. gave me water pills becuase mine was elevated. And it's usually not an issue. I read to, that inactivity can be a cause. I've been active again the last 6 months, but before that I had a Jones fracture and the Surgeon wouldn't put a pin in it, I had to stay in a non weight baring cast for 7 months. Most of it in a wheelchair.

"They" made me suffer with my gall bladder for almost 2 years before they'd take it out.

I think I'm convinced!! lol! I wonder if something shows up in the blood and urine tests? I just have to make it through Wednesday!! the man of my dreams, Jeff Gordon, is going to be in Atlantic City and I'm trying to get off work early to see him!! They can carry me in on a stretcher!! I will be there to see that man!!

Lindsay, thanks for the great recap! Ditto!!!

Robyn - I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin! Let me know if there's anything I can do locally. :wizard: Find out what caterer he was working for - just curious if I should keep an eye out for him with my work stuff. The Candyland invite was awesome!!

Elin and Tammi - glad to hear you had an enjoyable lunch! :goodvibes

Kristine - I think if I were you, I'd hope for the 2nd course. Either way, that is a ton of food! We have a group of friends that does themed dinners from time to time, but we've never done anything quite so fancy. I would have paid dearly to see Bill's mustache "woops"!

Debbie - glad to hear you're feeling better! :wizard:

Sally - lots of :wizard: :wizard: that the pain goes away, and you figure out what's going on!

Deb - sorry the progress has halted, but maybe a rest was in order.

Elizabeth - sorry to hear your sisters won't be much help. Your mom is lucky to have you.  I know this is the fate that awaits me - my brother will be worthless in situations like this. :sad2:

You guys were a chatty bunch today! :wizard:  :yay: for anyone I inadvertently missed.

How sweet of you, I'm sure they will appreciate it! I just wanted to get a rise out you, nothing better than teasing a pregnant woman!!

Costco cakes are delicious! My department head used to order one for every English teacher's birthday. Yum!!!

I just have to make it through Wednesday!! the man of my dreams, Jeff Gordon, is going to be in Atlantic City and I'm trying to get off work early to see him!! They can carry me in on a stretcher!! I will be there to see that man!!

:wizard: for you Sally! Please post some pictures of your meet and greet with Jeff Gordon!

I wondered when that was going to come up again! :lmao: I plan on doing a fashion show for Chuck tomorrow so that he can help me put some "outfits" together. I'll have him take pictures. All the clothes are clean now. I love looking in my dresser and closets. They look so fresh and not overcrowded!

:yay:

I didn't know that you had been part of the "Nosh Around the World" tour! How fun that must have been!

Amy, you were quite the baking fool today! WTG, woman!
