DDA Chapter 9

Biopsy was negative!!!!!:cool1:  I knew as soon as the PA came in instead of the dr! I got on the highway and the traffic was backed up 60 minutes due to road work and Cape traffic so I had to get off and ended up on the same road I got lost on last night-how wierd is that? I haven't been on that road in over 3 years. But I found my way and we are both so relieved and now I WILL put the Garmin in my car this weekend!!!!

Were you, by chance, using my old Garmin GPS?? ;)
 Nope...mine was home sitting on my dining room table.

Bernadette - I hope your DH's appointment goes well today. Lots of good thoughts are winging northward. What kind of sewing machine are you looking at?
Thanks! Looking at a Husqvarna Sapphire. DH said yes so I'm going to leave work early to go get it.

TONS of good thoughts for you and DH today!! :wizard: I am sure you guys will be able to go on your trip. :)
Thanks! I think even DH is ready for our trip now!

Thanks. I needed to hear that. Unfortunately it's been going on for over a week now. There were two nights when she was halfway more like normal, but otherwise every encounter has been almost silent and/or very passive aggressive. By yesterday I was getting better at not letting it get to me...just say what I needed to say, ask the questions I needed to know about and nevermind how the response comes. I think it's the best I can do and hope that it's a passing mood and improves sooner rather than later.
How frustrating for you. I honestly don't get it. Wouldn't you want to have an open relationship with someone you're trusting your kids with?:confused3

Bernadette- Sending more good thoughts and :wizard: your DH's way. Try to just take it easy.
Thanks!

Bernadette lot's of :wizard: for Joe's test today
Thanks. For Gene though-Joe was named after my brother. Gene was named after his dad and said it was too confusing and didn't want a son with his name.

Bernadette :wizard: for Dana
Thanks!

Well, I just got a phone call from Bob. He actually went out of his office so we could talk about the December trip. He wants AKL all the way.

I also just answered the phone from our bank. Kristin had applied there for a teller's position that has her name written all over it. Work hours are M-F 12-6 and every 4th Saturday. That would allow her to pursue acting jobs too. They wanted to talk to her to set up an interview. Luckily they know me because I was able to set one up on Monday for her. Otherwise, since she doesn't get back from the beach until Sunday they would not have been able to talk to her until Monday and that may have been too late!

I think I cannot make any reservations now until she has that interview. It is possible that her work schedule won't permit any time off around the holidays. So, I will continue to plan. And then when I know more, I will contact Chanon.
Goodluck to Kristin! I would be making the reservation today so she can say "I've already booked a vacation.....".;)

Our 2009 plans are coming together. I am going to TRY to get a week in a club level studio. We have just enough points for that. Then I'll do 2 cash nights at the beginning or the end.

The girls on the breast cancer thread want to do a meet in early December 2009, so I am thinking about that, too.

For 2010 I would love to bring my mom. That's also my 40th birthday. We'll have to see. That would require a 2 bedroom villa, so we would have to borrow points from 2011. We would also have to pay for the majority of her other trip expenses, PLUS possibly pay for Diva, too. :scared: BUT my family will have valid APs so we won't have to buy park tickets for us. I guess we'll just see how things progress. Airfare may be $700 per person by then. That's also the summer before Diva's senior year. I would HOPE she would have a JOB. DS really just wants to bring my mom, but I feel like we kind of have to include Diva. If she doesn't want to go that's her own thing. :confused3
:wizard: Good luck with those plans!

In two hours Stephanie and I are leaving work to drive to my house. Park her car (Wolfie cannot get any scratches!!!:lmao: )

Then off to the hotel.

We are so excited. I am even wearing makeup. Gotta be ready for pictures. :lmao:

Not sure how fast pictures from the meet will be posted, keep an eye on All Ears and we will post on Sunday.

Have a great weekend everyone
You guys will have a blast! Take a photo of Wolfie so we can see her!

I just pre-ordered my Photo pass Cd.

One thing off my to do list.
I need to do that!

Alyssa had her drama camp show this morning. It lasted about 15 minutes. There were only 4 kids in her camp but she loved it and wants to audition for a show whenever they start a production.

I took Nicholas back to the dr. for a recheck, and he got an inhaler that he is to use 2x daily.
Glad Alyssa had a great time at camp! Continued :wizard: for Nicholas!

Take care of yourself.

Amy - Sounds like you are hitting the ground running! Remember to rest now and then!

Amy- Sounds like you all are having fun but remember to take it easy too. Can't wait to see more pics of Noah.

Amy you need to slow down a little! Hope to see some pictures soon :goodvibes

Thank you all. :grouphug:

The 45 minute trip to Kroger was pretty draining. I got one of those horrible car carts, bribed Alyssa and Matty with some graham crackers (thank goodness, since the bakery didn't have any free cookies out), and stuck Noah's car seat in the cart basket (our car seat never sits properly in the front part and that scares me anyway). That left very little room for groceries, but I still spent $60. Noah fussed a lot. I thought he would sleep, but the two little drivers were making quite a racket and bumping the cart around. :rolleyes1 Our favorite bagger, Russ, whisked us to the Express Check-out when he saw us waiting in a long regular line. He also put all my groceries in a separate cart, pushed it to the van, and unloaded them for me while I buckled all the kids in. :lovestruc

Yes. That's what I mean. See, you're no longer pregnant, so you can think again!

I'm trying. I can definitely remember the title of a book I read 25 years ago, but I'm a little groggy on recent events. ;)

TGIF everyone! :flower3:

Amy - I bet you cannot wait for Kevin to come home tonight. ;)

Take care of yourself, please!

I am glad Alyssa had fun and wants to continue acting! :thumbsup2

Also very happy to hear that the doctor is sending Nicholas on vacation with the inhaler. I think since there is a smoker present it is a good preemptive strike! I know there have been times (very few, but they have occured) that Bob has forgotten he can't smoke somewhere. It is very easy to do I am sure and this way Nicholas ought to be protected. :goodvibes

I am going to ditto Elin's response!

Good luck to Kristin on her interview :wizard:

ETA: And I think that post proves Bob's theory that I don't know how to relax here at home!

Oh Elin, I can totally relate! At least trip planning isn't too physically exhausting! ;)

I had almost exactly the same experience...signed up for wikalerts.com and findoos.com and got the findoos alert a good minute before I got the wii alerts one...I contemplated whether I should spend the money too long and lost the one in my shopping cart :headache: But im anxious to get another shot heh

Hi! I saw today (why I'm still watching, I have no idea... mostly because the whole thing baffles me!) that one of the sites (wiialerts?) has how long an item was in stock most recently, and it cracks me up to see how often it's 2-4 minutes at a time! :faint: Good luck to you!

Have a fantastic time!! :yay:

I SWEAR... I saw that BestBuy had Wii Fits in stock online on the findoos site before I got the text message on my phone and I was STILL not able to get one! :confused3 :upsidedow

Bummer! This is all crazy. I did get my shipment email, though, so I would continue to trust Best Buy at least! :thumbsup2

Good luck to Kristin on her interview! I hope she gets that job. It will be perfect for her.

I'm glad Alyssa had a good time! Enjoy your time at the pool

Biopsy was negative!!!!!

Hooray! That is wonderful news, Bernadette! :goodvibes

Some of the carts are sized to where you can fit the carrier across the back (most narrow) edge of the basket, but that could be nerve-wracking - especially if you don't like it across the front, even. I hear you though, if you put it in the basket you can't get any groceries! :rotfl:

And I'm sorry, but I laughed almost out loud that you are on such a close basis with the bagger at Kroger! ;)

That was very nice of him! :thumbsup2

Are ADRs still being made at 180+10 or has it changed to 90 days yet?

That's a good question! I had forgotten that I had heard anything about it, because I haven't since. I still have a while on ours, so I haven't looked. Please let us know though, if/when you find out! :goodvibes

Well, I think that means I could make ADRs now for Christmas. Another question. Do I have to have a reservation to make ADRs??

I feel like a newbie! I have NEVER not had reservations yet. :rotfl2:

For the 180 + 10 I do believe you have to have a room reserved on site, otherwise I think you might have to book day by day

I would be making the reservation today so she can say "I've already booked a vacation.....".;)

Well, unless there are rules expressly prohibiting time off during that holiday period, we ought to be OK. Everyone at our bank branch (where this position would be) knows about our Christmas trips to WDW. In fact, I cannot go in there without them asking when I am headed there again. :rotfl:

I think if she got the job they would allow her to take the day after Christmas off. I hope, anyway!

Well, 180 days out for Christmas was in June. So I think I might be OK... as long as there is anything available at all! I had better get cracking!!
