:)
You're little guy DOES love Cars! My DS really just loves the diecast cars. His second birthday party was done in Cars, though.

We are hoping to see Mater and McQueen when we are down in January.

Mater & McQueen are the only reason we are going to DHS. Originally we were going to skip this park until I found out about the meet & greet. Now that is a MUST do!

Holy posts Batman! Answer to the QOTD-

I've been four times, my Husbands been eight times, and this trip will be our families third.:)

Wow! I log on today at 7pm and have pages and pages to read since yesterday!!! First off, MAGGIED, I used to live in Central NY! I've been over here in Buffalo for 13 years now. My extended family still lives in CNY and I miss them.!

WOW... I grew up in Lockport over by Buffalo and all my family lives there.... we spent 13 years in Boston, MA, then a few years in Erie, PA and then we moved here. Where in CNY are they??????

My wedding is January 2nd - not Disney themed, but the Bridal Shower probably will be.

Congrats on the wedding..... it must be so much fun planning.....I love weddings.... my DD says she wants to get married at Sunset Point at the POLY.... guess she better find some new parents to pay for that one....;)

Shelly... or anyone else familiar with CBR.... I have paid for a preferred room ... can you tell me where they are on the bus route... are they first to be picked up... last... I just finished reading some other posts and seems lots of folks complain about the transportation at this resort... I didn't mind paying extra for the preferred room to be close to the pool and the food court.... just curious about the transporation as I have never even stopped by to visit this resort.... thanks

Wendy

All Right Snowbirds! Time to say Goodnight! You all have had such a busy day.....time to hit the hay! Tomorrow is another day! Ha Ha Me thinks I am funny! :upsidedow Gotta take myself off to bed before I try to tell a joke! :rotfl2: Hugs to all! :grouphug: Nighty Night! :)

btw, I started jotting down a rough outline for my PTR and I think maybe tomorrow I will set up a photobucket account!

I suppose it is time for me to join y'all. Considering I've been planning my January trip for almost a year now. Wow... really... almost a year. (I started planning the Disneymoon before I started planning the wedding...well...."officially") I think I've been subscribed for a while, but I don't think I've ever posted.

First of all, I will be Disneymooning it from Jan 4-Jan 13
Second, I will be at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (unless of course there's an offer I can't refuse)
Third, my ADRs are as follows
1/4: Jikos 7:05PM
1/5: Coral Reef 12:30PM
1/6: CRT 5:20PM
1/7: Sci-Fi Dine In 12:30PM
1/8: Le Cellier 7:55PM
1/9: Tusker House 10:30AM
1/10: Ohanas 10:55AM
1/11: 1900 Park Fare 7PM
1/12: 50s Prime Time 12:30PM
1/13: Bomas 8:55AM

Wow... I think I'm going to have all my ADRs memorized by the time I go. I think that'll freak my fiance out a little...

I'm considering starting a PTR... though, the wedding planning might get in the way of it.

I've been to Disney two times, plus however many times my Mom took me there when we lived in Florida for nine months. So I'd estimate at least a dozen.
However, this will be the first trip for my fiance. He's REALLY excited.

BTW, is there any identifying symbol for Snowbirds other than the LGMH?

Welcome to the Snowbirds. We are a bit looney, but we love to PARTY! FYI - we kind of use the Dancing Banana as a symbol (that's way back from July, I think).

Maybe we can get a banana yellow Mickey Head from Home Depot as our special Snowbird DIS symbol, along with the LGMHs. We should probably do something to find each other when we're there. Seems pretty likely that we would run into each other.

Oh, and Becca - your Disneymoon. If I remember way back when, I don't think I'd be interested in eating out every night! Maybe a few room service dinners ;) Congratulations.

Here is a picture of me when I was 11 in 1997 I believe. Don't you just Love the outfit!:lmao:

Can you tell us the story behind this photo? I assume you're at WDW, but a huge snake??? That is my worst nightmare!!!

It was Friday the 13th at MGM and they had an Elvira (I think) character there. You should have seen all the screaming people it was so funny, but there were a lot of people taking pictures with her too!

Good night snowbirds! I'll be looking forward to all your bright shiny posts in the morrow!

Okay, here's my first attempt at photos.

Here's me and DH Valentine's Day 1994. What's with the giant glasses?:scared1: And don't look too closely inside the heart on the right. I with I could photoshop :rotfl:

Here's DH getting the best shave of his life in 1986:

I would seriously :faint: if I had a snake around my neck!

I would love to put up pictures but I have no idea how to do that on this board. Someone mentioned a photobucket account??? Man days like this I feel so internet illiterate!

One other thing that has been bothering me today..what is up with my countdown it keeps disappearing and then showing back up????

Holy Moly! I sleep and POOF! There are only about 100 new pages to read!:lmao: You ladies have been busy!

Love all the pictures! Especially the dorky old ones! Do I remember jelly shoes? Ha! I lived in those things for a few years. And stirrup pants with an oversized, banded shirt with a big ol' belt! Yep. Nice look!:confused3 :rotfl2:

Well, I'm seriously considering writing a trip report. I love to write, I'm obsessed with my Disney trip, and I enjoy a flare for the humorous/sarcastic! I shall consider and decide by tonight if I have the time to do it...but I am enjoying reading yours!:thumbsup2

I see that a lot yoou have posted you ADRs on here. Here is our list...are there any that maybe I should skip and try someplace else. This is a first trip that is longer that 4 days on the dining plan.

Jan 16 - Cap'n Jacks @ 5:45
Jan 17 - Wave @ 5:30
Jan 18 - 1900 Park Fare Dinner @ 5:35 (ordering the Cinderella slipper for dessert...YUM)
Jan 19 - 50's Prime Time @ 5:20
Jan 20 - Chef Mickey @ 6:35
Jan 21 - Tusker House @ 4:55
Jan 22 - Hollywood & Vine (Fantasmic package) @ 4:10
Jan 23 - Coral Reef @ 5:30
Jan 24 - Boma @ 5:40
Jan 25 - Planet Hollywood (before leaving for airport)

Are these good choices? I'm open to other suggestions...it's me, my mom and little sister going.

Just wanted to let you know I get a real kick reading your posts. I think it must be all the COOL people :cool1: that are going to WDW in January ! You all have such a fantastic sense of humour.:thumbsup2

Just a question for anyone who wants to answer.....are we supposed to be posting our ADR's? I've seen a few and wondered if I missed that step in the initiation process......:upsidedow

Oh, we are definitely the cool people. :cool1: :lmao:

You can share your ADRs if you like. It's fun seeing if we're dining together at the time and place!

I made it through another 4 hour Arabic lesson! YEAH!!!!! My head didn't explode!:woohoo:

I know! Pretty soon the list of Snowbirds, plus the Dining Post will be a full page and we'll never be able to post anything :sad2:

Shelly, when you start the second thread, do you want to think about just editing the list at the beginning whenever someone new joins? That could save you some time, too. But, then again, it is fun to see the list posted with additions. You see, I work in an office, so I'm always looking for the most efficient way to do things. If you edit the post, you're doing less work. That would leave you more time to ..... PARTY!

Actually when I post the lists each one is still only one post and every page has 15 posts, no matter how long they are. Does that make sense??? It is time consuming though. I was posting it every 3-4 pages (back when it was manageable!), then went to every 5 pages, and now it's more like every 10-12 pages!
Shelly..... can I get on the list of those going in January.... please:worship: .... pretty please....:worship:

I'm so sorry I must have missed you somehow. Please forgive me! :flower3: What are your dates and where are you staying?

WELCOME to the Snowbirds!! :goodvibes Congratulations on your wedding!

This is the official Snowbird symbol --> :cool1: Because we are so cool!! :rotfl:

No, I knew the DIS kept track, I read it on another thread many moons ago. It was just a funny mental picture for me, thinking of you with your hair up in a bun, a bunch of extra pencils stuck in it, and sheets of paper flying everywhere!

You didn't seriously think that I thought you went through and counted everybody's posts, did you?

:lmao:

So I guess I just answered my own question. . . You are staying at CBR!

Well we never had any bus issues when we stayed there. A lot of the resorts are getting complaints about the buses lately. :confused3 I sure hope it will get taken care of soon and that Disney is not cutting back on the buses because of gas.

Anyway, if you are staying in a preferred room you will either get Martinique or Trinidad North. CBR buses are like this - The MK & DTD buses start at Martinique and continue around the lake clockwise (so Mart. would be first, OPR second, Trin.N. third, so on). The DHS, Epcot, & AK buses start at Jamaica and continue clockwise around the lake. Hope that helps! Let me know if you need anymore CBR info.
