Question about Alaskan Cruise
Hello everyone
(I'm using my DD's account by the way)
Our family is looking into going on our first cruise 2011 we are thinking Alaskan cruise for numorous reasons
1) DH really wants to take a cruise to Alaska
2) We gave the In-Laws a Alaskan cruise for their 50th anniversary this year and that make DH want to go even more
3) We live an hour away from the border so we could drive there and skip the night in a hotel and the flight cost which brings the cost down ALOT
4) DD has been dreaming of a
Disney cruise for the past 2 years and the next year after this will be her Senior year (YIKES) and so we want to take her on that cruise before she graduates
5) We are not casino fans and no casinos on DCL
We have a family of 4 Me, DH, DD (15 will be 17 when we cruise IF we cruise), and DS (17 will be 19 when we cruise IF we cruise)
We don't plan to book for awhile for a couple of reason's
1) Wouldn't know if DS could come till about 6 months before the date due to college
2) DD has a lot of things going on that Summer, (Trip to France with French club, Trip to New York with dance team, and most like missions trip to the Phillippines with Church) and we wont know the exact dates of those trips till about 6 months before hand
3) Going to Vancouver 2010 for Winter vacation this year so got to pay off that before booking cruise, and Hawaii for Summer vacation so we need to pay off those 2 things before booking a cruise
So my point is do you think the prices will go down as time goes on like I know there are some deals out right now. Also are there any chance of WA state resident discounts as we live right by where the cruise will be leaving from (Only 2 hours away) Also would we need 2 state rooms if my DS can come? Also what would a first time cruiser want to know, and would this be a good first time cruiser cruise?
Thanks so much for all the help!
