Wow! we could've used that...

If you go to

http://blog.touringplans.com/2009/11/16/lines-mobile-wait-times/

you will get a complete description. I have a droid and have been looking at the wait times posted every once in a while to see how they change. I am planning to use this, along with RideMax plans for our trip in January.

Any recent users out there?

January is one of the slowest times of year at WDW besides September. You shouldn't need all of that and imho giving yourself way too much unnecessary work.

We will only have a few days at the parks and the crowd calendar has the first couple as 7 or 8! That doesn't seem slow to me, and I want to make the most of the time we have.

Maybe you are right, but I am one of those people who wants to be prepared! Thanks for weighing in tho.

I was wondering about that myself since I am going President's Day weekend. It seems slow leading up to it but not during it. After what i went through last year during the week between Xmas and New Year's, anything under a 9 crowd level will seem tame! LOL!

Yes, well the 1st few days of Jan. still have some holiday crowds that haven't left yet. By the 5th, it will be empty.
Without knowing your exact dates, I shouldn't assume. ;)

Thanks for all these tips. We are leaving in a few days and right now, I am scrambling to pack and making sure I have everything. :thumbsup2

Last but not least - and it may have already been posted but just in case - I usually stick scissors, packing tape, and a broken down box in the bottom of my suitcase.

That way if I buy things and it gets to the point the luggage is going to be over weight limit for the plane, I just pack everything up in the box and take it to the front desk and they'll ship it home. Paying the shipping ends up being cheaper than paying the airline fees for an extra or overweight bag.

For packing material, I usually use some clothes or newspaper (they provide during the week or you can usually buy at the resort store) as packing material.

This mght have been mentioned, but I did not see it...we went in August 2008 and one of our best investment was a plastic stroller cover to put over the stroller during rain showers. We also bought a radio flyer clamp on umbrella that we attached to the stroller that is adjustable to keep the sun of the kids.

Haven't read thru every post so I might be repeating.......

clothes pins to close up snack bags, and to pin the drapes together so you don't get a face full of sun in the morning

single serve koolaid and crystal light packets to add to yucky FL water

lysol wipes

small bottles of hand sanitizer for the kids to keep in their fanny packs

first aid kit (band-aids, tylenol, etc)

one time laundry soap packets

extra beach towels

hats/visors

I purchased some of the plastic fabric that grandma used to put on the furniture to cover our stroller and it only cost $3 (covers both our double sit and stand AND the old school double jogger).

I also picked up a bicycle gift wrap bag at the local dollar store the other day. It's big enough to cover the stroller when we're not using it. I  Dollar Tree!!!

I'll be going back soon to stock up on everything we need for our trip!

I want to say it's 5 ft x 6 ft... it's perfect! Plus, it's gift wrap, you can see it a mile away - talk about easily identifying your stroller! :rotfl:

That would make it stand out!! We did a clear one and put a million stickers all over it...that help see it from a distance!

What a great many wonderful ideas:)
Thank you all so much.

Mine are duct tape, New Skin(antiseptic and liquid bandage) and a Swiss army tool.

We've been going for some time now and the duct tape has been...a blister cover, a blown stroller wheel fixer, a brand new Teva that lost its sole and that fell apart in the mid day heat of Animal Kingdom heat repairer, hat brim fixer, hole in garbage bag poncho keeper, backpack broken strap helper, broken sunglasses taper...and snapped belt buckle wrap;)

The Swiss army knife tool has scissors, eyeglass screwdriver, nail file/ingrown toe nail digger, cork screw,(great for the end of the night wine after the kiddies are finally resting and DH and I rest:) ), and other super useful stuff. I have brought it with us on every trip. In checked baggage. There is one that has no small knife that can go on carry on too:)

:)

not sure if this has been mentioned but one thing we always bring is dish soap in a pump bottle. we use it to wash hands and utensils, mugs, etc. ( we drive, so i guess this would not work for flyers) .we just prefer this for hadwashing and mug washing to bar soap. love the shoe bag idea. definitely trying that next time.

fold up hamper with handles for the trips to the laundry, power strip for everything that needs to be charged, and toothbrush holder that sticks to the mirror so as not to have to lay my toothbrush on the counter with a million other germs.

This grosses me out too so we buy a 6pk at the dollar store. It comes with a tb holder and they're different colors so we all know which color is who's. It used to come as an 8 pk but now get 6.

I like that I can pack them way in advance and chuck them at the end of the trip and don't have to unpack to get my tb out once home. ;)

I've never seen a tb holder that sticks to a mirror. That's a great idea. :thumbsup2
