Daniel's fever is back over 100 so we have a Dr appt for 11am. He has asthma so I didn't want to wait & see if it's just a cold or what.

Katie's going for an MRI for her migraines. She is not responding to the migraine meds like the Dr thinks she should.

Sophie was off & running this morning so 1 out of 3 isn't bad right?????

:wizard:I truly hope the MRI finds NOTHING at all:wizard:

I had to pause and rewind three times, but I told Kevin... that's Deb!!:love::love:

We DVRd it so the kids have paused and rewound a few times :rotfl::rotfl: It was fun watching. I kept telling everyone that I did that or I put that there etc.

YAY FOR DOUBLE DIGITS!

Have a Magical Birthday

If anyone needs our address please remind me. My brain is a little forgetful these days. I did PM the couple of people that I think I remembered asking :upsidedow

All of the kids made it to school this morning. Hunter didn't last long, he was exhausted as I was so we came home and took a long nap. It was emotionally exhausting having to tell his teachers and classmates and handling all the questions. Tomorrow morning I'm meeting with the Nurse, Guidance councelors and Principal to come up with a 504 for him. We want to get it in place as he will certainly need extra help etc once this is over.

Good plan Deb. Olivia wants to buy extra stuff to put in with the ornaments. Is their anything you think Hunter would like for the hospital. Coloring books, puzzles? Do you think Colby would like a puzzle. saw a cute one of donald and his nephews building a snowman at the dollar store.

:wizard: for Daniel and Katie. It took me 5 different meds till I found one that works for my migraines. Have katie keep a headache diary. when she fets one have her write down what shes ate, the weather, the pollens that are in the air, the date in case its close to time of the month etc. That helped me, Is the meds just when she gets a migraine or are they every day to prevent

Another thing with migraines, is sometimes smells can set one off. I have had that problem for over 8 years now. That is very frustrating because I can't always anticipate if I am gonna stand by someone who has just smoked a cigarette or is wearing some very strong perfume. I hope you get some results.

they dont normally set my migraines off but will send me into a coughing fit. Of course Virginia got into the pantry while I was dealing with laundry and spilt the container of cloves spice on the floor. I now have a headache from the smell.

I am sooooooo angry! The dumba$$ father of my children just gave Nicholas a cell phone for his birthday. Why on earth would anyone in their right mind think a 10 year old needs to have a cell phone. The kid is never alone. He is always with me or Bob or his dad. He doesn't stay home alone, he's not a latch-key kid, he doesn't walk to the school bus alone, he doesn't even ride the bus! He uses the house phone or my cell phone whenever he wants to call someone. When I asked why he did it, his response was "well he's been bugging me for one for awhile now." Yeah, well me too, but I've grown the parenting backbone and said NO!!!!! I wonder if that means that when Nicholas starts bugging him for a car he will get that too. This has just opened up a parenting nightmare for me. Plus now I get to worry what Nicholas is doing with it when he is at his dads, because I know that HE won't be paying attention to his son. AAARRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

Argh! What a mess. It sounds like you (and Nicholas!) handled it brilliantly. You must be so proud of him!

I'm not packed!:scared1:

I got Emma a 12:30 doctors appointment. The nurse brought her right in and called in the doctor. They were ready to call an ambulance but instead gave her 2 nebulizer treatments and got her oxygen levels up to were they thought she'd be OK for me to drive her to the ER. The nurse at the hospital was waiting while they were checking us in. They got her an xray right away and confirmed a slight case of pneumonia and an ear infection (she never complained about her ear). Then we waited over an hour for someone to bring us a nebulizer we could bring home. I went to a drive through pharmacy to drop off the scripts. They said it would be an hour wait but with my shocked reaction they said they would do it in half an hour. At that point I realized my gas light was on so we went to McDonalds drive through-she hadn't eaten much of anything-got gas and only had to wait a short while to go back through the pharmacy drive through.

That nebulizer really works! She looks so much better! She got her first dose of antibiotic at the hospital too so I'm sure that is helping too.

OK....now I have to go pack!!!

I'm sure I'll be fine once I get there but right now I'm not feeling great about going.

I was just reading an article about how H1N1 was causing a rise in pneumonia cases this year. I'm glad that you were able to get her in quickly and treatments going before it really progressed much! Yeah that it is all working well. She'll be running and crazy in no time and you'll have a good trip. :wizard: for you both, though.

Disney Holidays is on HGTV :santa:

That was one of the best park shows I've ever seen! I loved the whole after-hours and warehouse scenes. Plus, I think David Bromstad was the perfect host for it!

So did you all see me on tv?:rolleyes1 I actually had about a second of airtime on Extreme Makeover Home Edition. They showed me painting a door casing about 3/4 of the way through the program.

The party tonight was okay. They had brownies and cookies and we got to meet the family. They were very nice and both the Mom and Dad encouraged us to call them with any issues with Hunter. They've spent lots of time at CHAD with their son that has leukemia. She said that she would be happy to come sit with us and I'm sure she meant it. I can't believe how many people, many whom we barely know, have offered there support, offered to cook meals, babysit and whatever else we might need. I was totally impressed to see thousands of people come together to build the house for the Marshall, but now we are seeing it for ourselves, from all across the country from good people like all of you  Sometimes we get so caught up in the bad things that we forget to see and appreciate all that is happening to and around us.

I missed it! :( Guess we'll have to watch for it to be on TVLand or something. Or maybe we can find something online. I'm glad Hunter was able to do part of the day today. The 504 sounds like a great plan though. Continued :grouphug: and prayers.

Glad Daniel's appt was good. I hope he's feeling better tomorrow. :wizard: that the can figure a good solution for Katie.

Colby would love a puzzle. Hunter loves mad libs. We've got some extra things for the girls too. Now if I could just get them boxed and in the mail.:rolleyes1

I'm hoping I can find it online as I missed it on TV.

Just found it, Vicki!

If the direct link doesn't work, the video is on the ABC site on the Extreme Home Makeover page. Unfortunately, the one comment doesn't sound like a good situation for the family. I hope everything works out okay for them. I'm guessing they wouldn't have done the show if they were worried about problems so hopefully it's all nothing.
