September 2011 - The Planning Has Started!!!

Okay, so for some weird reason, I forgot I wasn't responding to an email. For clarification, Elianor is my Society for Creative Anachronism (medieval reinactment) persona name. It's weird, I know, but my whole family at this point knows me by both names since I do alot with the medieval group.

My real name is Jess, so I answer to both. I just use the Elianor as log-ins for most sites since it's an odd spelling but easy for me to remember!
 
Well, I found some other awesome flights out of a closer smaller airport and some GREAT flight times nonstop! It is more expensive though, but I think worth it.

We'd be getting to MCO at 9:40AM and leaving MCO at 7:00PM. It's around $900 for all 4 of us though. Eeek!

No, it really isn't that bad. The times and the location of the airport really make it worth it! We were debating on driving from Michigan. I have no idea what we were thinking, but we surely aren't going to drive. :lmao:

I am so spoiled to good air outta Detroit. This yr is the most expensive we have payed for 4($800). Usually we pay $400 total. But this yr we are gooing with our friends from NY and we are surprising the kids so it is worth the extra to surprise them all together at the DC airport where we all managed to get a layover and get on the same plane...amazing:banana:

We would be going out of Flint. We looked at Detroit, but the flights aren't spectacular. It will be nice to go out of Flint since it is SO much smaller and closer to us. How luck of you to get that layover and it work out so perfectly!

for us its the flying out of the states that pays off - if we flew out of an airport in Canada we'd by 2 to 4 times the amount we paid - its ridiculous... we just drive 5 hrs down to Portland, ME and fly outta there... worked out to $250 a person in the end... :banana: :banana: :banana:
 
Not bad Julie!! We have to drive 2 hrs to Detroit but we usually fly Spirit for $100 rt per person . This time to get the same layover and on the same flight as disneydiva16, we are flying Continental outta detroit. more then we usually pay but the surprise will be worth it. I am glad we grabbed the air when we did. Spirit is still cheap rt now but our continental flight has gone up at least $150 each ticket!!!!

Also Julie I am gonna hit Walmart and compile my list for our grocery order this week.I've just got caught up in the sewing. My only worry is how hard will it will be to split the bill. I wonder if I can ask for things to be rung seperately? Any ideas?
 
So, I'm having one of "those" days and am just freaking out. I want it to be September already!

I haven't looked to see what our airfare has done since we bought it - don't want to regret getting it too early... LOL

I don't see why we can't ask to have it rung in separately - just say you are splitting it with friends... I'll get our final list together this week and send it your way... if they say it will be an extra charge it'll still be cheaper than each ordering separately...

I understand the getting caught up in sewing thing - I did too and got nothing else accomplished this weekend...

Yeah I am not getting very far in the house...:rotfl: I have to go pack for Chicago...it's a week away but I am trying to remember everything I need. Mostly just have to remember Syd's dance stuff...make-up, hair stuff, costumes, extras, warm ups and the list goes on. I guess I better go get the competition stuff outta the closet. I am watching food network on Chicago deep dish, anyone have any recommendations on places to eat for the best Chicago pizza downtown?????
 
I wanted to let everyone know that ordered pins that my friend had her baby yesterday, 2 weeks early. I know that she got some of the pins out, maybe even all of them. I wanted to tell all of you not to worry, you'll get your pins before September. :rotfl: She has a baby girl!

I got mine today....u don't realize how small 1 inch is till u pin it on yourself:confused: I am gonna make a sign for my window...Ok so I will have to look hard to find these on people and will probably get punched for looking:rotfl:
 
I have to complain and whine for a few... I am SO annoyed that children have to be 3 to do Pirate's League. My boys are VERY into pirates right now and they would absolutely love PL. My little guy will only be 2 though. Not even close to 3. I can't just let my oldest son do it and not let the little guy. It would just not be fair. I'm so bummed!
