Post pics of your bag you carry into park

I am considering this as my park bag. I have a couple of questions though. I am very petite so I am looking for a bag that doesnt overwhelm me but has a decent amount of space. My questions are

1. I am 4ft 10.5inches tall about 100lbs ! ;) Is this bag gonna hang really low on me or can be adjusted fairly small?

2. Do you think this bag is gonna feel overwhelming on me?

3. Dose is rub and chaff on your neck?

4. Can it hold alot of stuff ? Like autograph book ponchos water bottles? spare change of clothes? would love to see a picture of what all you bag can hold

5. If you had to choose again would you still chose this bag or wish you would have picked soemthing else?

The bag is VERY adjustable; the strap goes from a minimum of about 28" to a max of about 54". I'm 5'2" and had no trouble finding a position that was comfortable for me. I did not want a bag that was too bulky or "in the way," and I never found this one overwhelming.

I never had a problem with rubbing or chafing, or keeping the strap where I wanted it.

Now, as for holding stuff - the biggest section is about 6 x 9 x maybe 2 (it's soft, so can be stuffed thicker). Depending on the specific size you're talking about, I would think you could fit an autograph book and/or a fold-up travel poncho(?). But I don't think a water bottle would work, unless that's just about the only thing in there, and no way could you fit a change of clothes (or even a jacket/sweater).

That said, I was very pleased with the bag and would choose it again - but then, I don't tote a lot of stuff into the parks.

There are so many bags to choose from & I'm looking for a new one (preferably Vera Bradley) for my upcoming trip this summer. I don't carry alot (just money, our cards, lipgloss, sunscreen and maybe some ponchos. I just can't decide which to get!!

I'm joining the "I need a bag for our trip" group as well. In the past I have used some travel backpack-y thing from my Mom paired with a fanny pack for the "quick access" items (tickets, etc...) I'm hoping that I won't need as much this year. I found the Sherpani Milli at TJMaxx the other day for $17 and thought it might be a good solution. Has anyone used this one? I am liking the roominess of it and the various pockets it offers - not too many, but just enough. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks! (Who knew finding the perfect bag would involve so much!)

"Ugly Fanny Pack"? I don't get it, it's readily accessible, separate pockets, mostly waterproof and weighs next to nothing. At some point function has to outweigh fashion right? I'll proudly wear mine each trip and challenge anyone to a race to get to the sun block, shades, fastpass, TTTW card, etc. All this without carelessly smacking people with thier backpacks while on que or making the rest of us wait while you remove all that gear to sit, walk down a packed aisle, board a ride, clear security, etc, etc.
Dont mean to rant, but dont understand why one would want to pack around all that stuff when it creates problems for other.

My two go to bags are Vera Bradley Hipster and Vera Bradley Tote. I usually carry the Hipster unless I need to bring my jacket or umbrella then I'll carry the other. Both bags offer lots of functionality and they're both cute, you can have the best of both worlds.

I wouldn't be caught dead in a fanny pack.

So after reading through hundreds of pages and tips and all that and looking at numerous websites and what not I finally had decided I wanted a Bagallini Zip and Go. ONLY one day after walking over to target for a starbucks fix on my lunch break i was looking around and found this bag!
Swiss Gear Vertical Travel Bag ( i dont know how to post a picture on here but here is the link)

It is very similar to the style of the one i wanted only a little big a few more pockets and a nice squishy pad on the shoulder strap! It is made my Swiss Gear and is designed to be an Outdoor/travel bag so it should be built pretty tough. Husband actually really liked it to! And it was a steal at only $21.00

VB has a new rollout at the end of March and there is a new bag (I think called "Claire") that looks like a bigger sized "Lizzy". Definitely has park-bag potential, although I haven't seen it yet.

I have taken a Vera Bradley small backpack the last 2 trips and just ordered one for our upcoming trip! It is stylish and functional! Here is an idea of what I have been able to fit in one and comfortably carry it around:
To go Wipes
extra change of clothes for DD
sunscreen
bandaids
snack packs
stickers
chapstick
cell phone
park maps
medicines
water bottles
And probably more than that!! I have found it to have much more space than what it looks like!

I'm with you, I'm married to my waist pack and I love it. I've used it in Europe and at Disney, and it has been extremely convenient. I wear it in front, and everything is easy to access. I have shoulder problems, so using something with a shoulder strap or a backpack is too uncomfortable.

I may look silly, but I'm comfy. :thumbsup2

I just bought this at Wal Mart for $12 for my Disneyland trip in November. It's a smaller backpack with just enough room for the essentials and the straps are nice and long for easy on and off!

I just saw those yesterday!! I almost bought one! The only thing I wish they had was a pocket on the side for a water bottle. I may still go back and buy it for my daughter....although we really dont need another bag :)

Looks like a good choice! I think the Zip N Go might have been a bit smaller than you wanted. Let us know how this one works out.

I LOVE IT! I have a fanny pack too and wear it proudly! My 15 yr old and 12 yr old daughters are embarrassed for me, but as someone else said, sometimes comfort is more important than fashion, and spending 12+ hours in the parks each day constitutes that time!:dancer: They also get embarrassed anytime I dance in public, so I'm used to it!!!

I'm with you guys! After carrying a Baggallini Messenger Bag for three trips I have come to the conclusion that I want to feel as free as possible on our next trip. I'm sick of the sore back and neck and I don't care one bit what people think of what I wear in the park to hold the things I need. I don't want something pulling on my neck, and stretching out my shirt, hitting people when I step to close to them. I don't want to have to swing something to my side or front to access it- I just want it there. And I don't want it so big that I carry too much stuff. I will pack a separate bag to keep in a locker with all the extra stuff and keep my essential items in my FP. I saw so many fanny packs on people in the parks- and many of them were hip, younger women and they didn't seem to concerned that they were wearing an "ugly fanny Pack". Seriously, who makes up the rules for these things anyway? :confused3

I've decided to go the fanny pack route myself this year - just want the freedom and easy access. Actually forgot my backpack on recent theme park trip and bought a fanny pack at WM just for the day - loved it. Though I hope to find one a bit cuter for Disney (any suggestions) since this was is just plain black.

Okay I think I may have found the perfect bag for those of us who have toddlers. I honestly wasn't too wild for the style of the Baggallini Messenger (I know...gasp! :scared1:) and was trying to find something non-Baggallini but then I went to Marshalls today and there it was: the Baggallini Hobo http://www.ebags.com/product/baggallini/hobo-tote/219225?lastterm=baggalini hobo

So it looks a lot better in real life than in this pic but it has plenty of room for a water bottle and sippy cup because it has too very large side pockets. In addition to that, it has another deep exterior pocket in the middle perfect for antibacterial wipes. It can be adjusted to fit cross-body which is what I wanted so that I can be hands-free and lays fairly flat against the body. It is of course water resistant and has an interior zipper pocket inside along with some slip pockets. It is plenty wide to carry sunscreen, a few diapers, snack, you know all the fun stuff that I get to carry as mom the packmule. I scored mine for $30 today at Marshalls which is an awesome price. I liked it so much for everyday use too so I bought it in black and leaf green. Hope this helps someone else out!

I bought the baggallini Sydney bag for a weekend trip to Pittsburgh, because I liked the pockets and the dimensions seemed right. I thought it would make a good cross-body bag for Disney, but I was disappointed in it, mainly because of the depth. The two small front pockets were good for my camera, and had I been in Disney, my ticket & room key, but the front zipper pocket again has little depth, so it's not very useful. Maybe the Big Sydney would be better, but that almost looks too big. If you're only looking to carry a few items it would work. It could probably hold the things I'd bring into the park, but wouldn't have any room for water bottles, or small souvenirs I picked up while touring.

It makes a good bag to take to hockey games though! It looks like I should have gone with the Hobo bag you posted Zuzu, or the Baggalini Everywhere bag. That looks like the Sydney, but with more depth.
