Magic Kingdom After Hours coming back (DAH); Reviews: Page 18 >>

that ticket price is similar to their other party tickets, hopefully they will not over sell.

I just bought tickets for March 2nd as well! We will be there for 13 days with 10 day tickets so I figured why not. This trip it is just me and my daughter (who will be turning 21 while we are there) and we are both night owls so this should be fun. I worry about over selling too and hope they will resist the temptation to mess with it.

My hope is that they realize that the only reason people are willing to pay these prices for the event is an empty magic kingdom. I would never pay what we did for this if it sold as many tickets as a party. I am willing to pay for those for the extra entertainment and characters.

They didn't oversell before and i see no reason why that changes. It is not a Larry and is not marketed as one. A primary selling point is empty park. They don't advertise that with parties

That's what the event is, they know exactly what they are selling. They are just horrible at describing it.

I can't wait to hear the experiences from tonight's event!! In my email confirmation, the tickets are attached and it says this page is required to be printed and shown at the event. If it is linked to my Disney experience, wouldn't my magic band be enough to enter or do I need to print the actual ticket too?

I'm an AP holder and didn't need a printout... it was automatically attached to my magic band. I brought my son who is not an AP holder. He had a plastic ticket which I picked up in December, and we were able to make FP+ reservations once I linked that ticket to him. (He could have used his old magic band as well once he was properly linked.) No paper confirmations needed, hope that helps.

Just left the event tonight. There were more people than on our May one but everything was still a walk on the entire night. We were able to stay on when we wanted. Popcorn, drinks and ice cream plentiful. CM as friendly as ever. Had one of our best Jungle Cruise skippers ever. Finished the night with Talking Mickey and then the Kiss Goodnight promptly at midnight. 12:15 and we are already on the bus and headed to the resort
Wouldn't hesitate to go again

On my bus, too. Like sardines... :scared:

Bus is shared - so far we've gone to Swolphin and I think Yacht Club. I'm staying at Pop. I have no idea where else we're going - the driver said a list but she was so quiet I couldn't hear her lol!!

I'll try to get a full review up tomorrow. Did I enjoy myself - yes, would I do it again - probably not. But, that needs to be colored with the fact that I am a) solo tonight (which I think colored things a *lot*) and b) a frequent visitor. I don't regret going.

Highlight of the night: "You can just stay on if you want to ride again" at Peter Pan.

Lowlight: opting to wait towards the end for 7DMT, to allow day crowds to filter through - then having it down due to tech difficulties by the time I made it over there. (It happens - I understand - but it was still frustrating.)

Ride list:
Buzz
Space Mtn (why did I do that to myself?!)
Teacups
Pooh
Dumbo
Barnstormer
Little Mermaid
Jungle Cruise
wandered to Main St to get photo taken
BTMRR
Peter Pan x3
BTMRR again

I think that was all. Got some sodas, popcorn, couple of ice creams... my allotment for the trip. LOL!!

For the record, that bus ride was ridiculous. Seven resorts, ten total stops: Swan, Dolphin, Beach, Yacht, Boardwalk, Caribbean Beach (3 or 4 stops,) Pop and AoA. We didn't actually go to Swan (bus driver yelled it out and no one answered,) but a couple of the other stops we made despite no one actually needing them.

I totally understand sharing busses and grouping by zone, but the plan needs a little polish.

That really is ridiculous! Considering what the charge is for this they really should have dedicated buses to each resort within reason when the event ends. We will be staying at AKL when we go-I wonder how many stops that bus ride back will be?

Just got back as well. It's almost 1:00. (My bus was Port Orleans, Dixie Landings, Old Key West, Saratoga Springs, and maybe more after that. Quite a few still on when I exited at OKW. Standing room only was quite a jolt to the system after an empty park. Especially since I was one of the standers)

I think they had a bigger crowd tonight, as the park was not as empty as some of last week's reports sounded. There were always at least a few people around within my field of view, though at one point I think I was the only guest inside Splash Mountain.

I was about to board the Mine Train when it went down. Oh well.

One thing I liked was how in a quiet park, you can hear all the background music and sound effects so clearly. It made walking up to Haunted Mansion in particular more creepy.

I entered the park just after the fireworks had ended. I don't recommend trying that. But once I got inside, most of the lines were quite short for that last hour of regular operation.

So I did:
People Mover
Astro Orbiter
(those two pre-9:00)
Philharmagic
Small World
Peter Pan (**main queue in use!! Excellent**)
Big Thunder
Splash
Pirates
Space Mt (Cameras in the walkway exit ramp not in operation - is that a regular thing now?)
Speedway
Buzz x 2 (stayed on, shot poorly both times)
Mine Train - almost
Magic Carpets (first time in years)
Partner's Statue photo
Haunted Mansion

I had fun. Since I was solo, only had to shell out for one person, so not too expensive. Agree that the transportation at the end needs improvement.

I was surprised that the "ice cream" they offered weren't just cheap little cups or bars, they were the pricey treats they sell regularly.

Saw a few pre-tweens that seemed to make it all the way to the end. Troupers. I would never have lasted at their age. Not sure how I make it at my age either.

They did what with the buses to get back?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! wow.. just wow.. So even if you had the time of your life, you completely lost it getting back to the resort.. So that's new and really bad form if you ask me.

Really disappointed to here of the bad bus experiences going back. I will be riding back w an overtired toddler and now I'm nervous. I wish they could keep the monorails and ferries running, you are paying so much for this event already, I hope they will improve on this at next weeks event...

I'm going in a couple of weeks as well, also staying at Poly. Note that it sounds like it's the monorails and resort boat launches that aren't running. The ferries to the TTC (the larger boats that go back/forth all day) would pretty much have to keep running, otherwise people can't get back to the TTC/parking lot. Or for those that have gone, are they only bussing to the TTC too?

My plan is to see what's going on with the busses to Poly first, but use the Ferry to TTC as plan B. It's an easy walk from TTC to Poly. That is if the ferry is running!

If I have to bus, I'm going to assume it's more of a MK resort loop so hopefully not 'too' bad. Maybe????

LOL, I was on the same bus. Definitely a frustrating part of the evening. Bus was completely full. We just got off at Dolphin and walked to Boardwalk. I didn't want to be stuck at a drop off when they had to unload an ECV.

My report will be the same as everyone else's. After Wishes we rode:
Jungle Cruise - walk on
Pirates - walk on
BTMRR - 3 train wait

Then it was about 9:00pm and we rode:
Splash
BTMRR
HM
Peter Pan - saw interactive queue
IASW
Peter Pan
Meet Elena and Cinderella - only one group ahead of us
7DMT - One train wait
Pooh
7DMT - An actual line of 25 or so
Little Mermaid
Barnstormer
Dumbo
Speedway
Space Mountain
Buzz

Then we just took a bunch of pictures in the hub. Overall the night was great and just as we expected. Had a few ice creams and popcorns. I can see this being more of a value if you are only going to the resort for one night. We have a couple of MK days scheduled, but this allowed us adults to ride the big rides so we can focus on the kids rides during our scheduled day visits.
