Cars Land is possibly coming to Epcot

That would give me a reason to go to Epcot. That is the park a usually skip. I love CarsLand and I think that their should be one at WDW.

I think it's a possibility if Disney feels they can create a Cars Land for cheap rather then the Guardians coaster.

Test Track doesn't have to be a duplicate of Radiator Springs in Cali, it can be a race track like in the 3rd movie. And perhaps a total demo of the buildings won't be necessary afterall and they can be repurposed. Much like Guardians Mission Breakout in DCA.

IP Land sounds about right. But then The Land and Spaceship Earth wouldn't really fit.

I find this hard to believe. It just doesn't seem to fit the park at all. Could see Cars Land go in well to Hollywood Studios or even an expansion to Magic Kingdom (though think Hollywood Studios woudl likely be better, give it more attactions and easier to find space right now). I can see EPCOT adding in IPs to areas of the park liek they did with Frozen and Nemo and some other rumored additions liek Ratatouille and GotG. But I don't seem them completely changing the entire front half of the park into a Pixar land with a whole side being Cars themed and Up or others in the other side.

I would love to see Electric Umbrella get a retheme. I’ve never understood the concept for that restaurant. What’s an umbrella have to do with Electricity? I can understand a kite with a key, but not an umbrella. Whoever came up with this idea must have been fired.

It’s so boring looking inside too, nothing catches your eye in the place. The whole restaurant is made up of 3 colors that don’t go together. Plus its got the most basic food, burgers and nuggets. The only thing I like about the place is the free refill machines.

Epcot is in dire need of revitilzation . It's got a ton of room to do things in too. I think HS has alot less room to work with. They definitely need to do something though.

Originally the restaurant was called Stargate, when it was a part of Communicore. When Communicore changed to Innoventions, they changed the name/theme of the restaurant. Nearby was a huge shop called Centorium, full of "futuristic" gadgets and toys... there was supposedly an electric umbrella available for sale there at the time. Plus, the decor features umbrella-like lights.

It's kind of random, but that fits the whole devolution theme of post-launch EPCOT.

Hello everybody, recently I heard some fun rumors about Epcot. It came from a person, whose since partially retired from the company. For now it is just being talked about behind closed doors, but it sounds great.

for Future World

1.) The front of the park is going to be separated into two lands

2.) Cars Land will encompass the left side of Future world

- with 3 attractions including a retheming of Test Track and retheming of Electric Umbrella

3.) He wasn’t sure about the name for the other side, but it will consist of Land, Sea and Air

(possible attractions for the Air pavilion are Up, Gigantic and even Planes)

and last, but not least

for World Showcase

4.) Ratatouille in France

and

5.) Alice in the U.K.

Wow....I just dont see Cars land fitting in any way shape of form in Epcot....it would be totally unrelated to the entire park concept

I totally agree....I think it simply needs to saty on the cutting edge of technology in the front of the park for sure....and it definitely needs to add 2 more countries

I personally can't see 70% of that happening at this moment in time. Ratatouille in France, yes. Ride (maybe Alice) in UK, probably. The rest, i'm doubtful.

That being said though, i've heard talk recently that GotG may not now be coming to Universe of Energy, but instead replace Rock 'n' Roller Coaster in DHS at some point in the future. (please note: this is no way starting a rumor, I have heard this from one source, and cannot confirm any credibility). There was also talk a while back I believe of a Cars overlay for Test Track, but that seems unlikely considering the attraction only got its 'Tron'-style revamp a few years back.

Cars wouldn't fit the current theme of Epcot, and would definitely fit DHS theme better. But then, you never know.

Haha, the rumors sometimes. Come on guys, you can do better

I would love to see this rumor come to fruition. I like Aerosmith's music, but this ride is showing its age and badly needs a refresh. It is so cheesy too.

I'd also love to hear some tracks from Star Lords Awesome mix.

I think it's pretty safe to say that anything new that gets added (pretty much anywhere) will have some sort of IP tied to it. So with that being said, you have one of the most relevant IPs (Inside Out) not doing anything. They could fit into so many different places within Future World.

Carsland is really great...I enjoyed it.

But it's centerpiece is basiclaly testrack 2.0...why on earth would they spend a billion or so on putting that there?

To service the Walmart toy genre?

This of all flyer rumors makes the least amount of sense...

I doubt the longterm theme park appeal of inside out...

I mean...it is pretty good for both imagination and the INEXPLICABLY mothballed wonder of life...but nobody stopped buying tickets when they ruined those...

Now...I think the incredibles makes a better IP...good story/characters and that slick kinda animation that holds up (like despicable me)...I can see that.

To me, seeing Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust explain the science behind one's body makes more sense than The Incredibles. Don't get me wrong, what I'd do to see a more thrill-esque presence of The Incredibles.

Also, The Incredibles brought home $633 million and Inside Out brought home $857 million.

I was talking about Inside Out mainly going into Imagination or Wonders of Life.

Incredibles would be good in Motion or Energy.

The incredibles is a franchise now and has developed a bit of an animation cult following.

I get your points about inside out...but what you are describing is "edu-tainment"...which is what allowed disney parks to become great and charge robbery prices...

But based on their policies and the near perpetual whining about "magic" and "boredom" on places like this, haven't they abandoned that?

That's why you get a frankly budget looking frozen boat overlay...crap if you're not reserved (like me)...

Maybe there is "magic" and it's in the innovative design and quest to spread knowledge? Maybe not in pictures of 5 year olds at meet and greets? Just a thought.

Because it wouldn't cost a billion dollars. It would be much easier and cheaper then starting from scratch. They've already got the ride, they just need to do an overlay and put in 2 lesser attractions. Much like they are doing with Toy Story Land at DHS.
