***Hey, Hey! Come right in and plan, OFFICIAL OCTOBER 2017 thread!!!***

It's hard one to get for sure, but is it really anything special beyond burgers and fries? Are you staying at Beach Club? (I have noticed your posts but can't recall where you are staying) If you aren't it might be more worthwhile to do the F&W kiosks and take your time vs rush to one adr and back to where you want to be.

Staying at BLT. I think I am really leaning toward letting that one go. I am going to try to stay at Beach Club on my next trip so I may just put it on the list for a must do that trip.

That would make more sense, and yes I remember now! We just got back from BLT ourselves. Loved the location for sure.

Am I crazy for even thinking about giving up a Beaches and Cream reservation??? I am doing some final deciding while waiting to see my dr.

I would love to try it, but I am thinking I want to just explore food and wine on that night. Or maybe hit Hollywood Studios.
I go to Beaches and Cream every trip, but only for ice cream! I am not sure what time your ADR is, but maybe a sundae only could fit into your touring this trip if you really want to see the place?! It is a very cute spot.

It is VERY crowded at the hub because the projections are a big part of the show and being in front of the castle to see them enhances the show. That being said I felt like it was worth it. I watched the Live stream of the show the first night and I thought it looked good and like it was worth seeing however, after seeing them in person I can say for certain that they are way better in person. I wouldn't miss HEA crowds and all.

I got to the hub about 50 minutes prior to the show and I got a great spot but I was a party of 2 there were many good pockets of space for a party of 2 but larger parties...not so much. Granted that was the Wednesday before Columbus Day weekend and the crowds might thin out as you get away from school breaks and holidays. If you have a big family I would get there about and hour and 15 minutes before the show.
We were at MK tonight for HEA dessert party mainly so we had a place to watch HEA. I'm so glad we did because it was wall to wall people and the CM even had a hard time getting the crowd to move to let the party into the reserved area in the Hub. It was an evening EMH and MK open until 2 am. The exit from the park was chaos!

You should take into consideration the hours for the day and week to figure our how early to wait because with many MNSSHP events, people are going to go to MK on non party nights to see HEA.

Was it chaos leaving at 2am? Or chaos leaving right after HEA?

Hey guys, I’ve been back for almost a week now :(
Thought I’d give a quick recap...

My husband and I stayed at AKV for 3 nights, really love it there. The theming is wonderful and the pool was great. We stayed at POP for our last night and while the renovated room was very nice hubby said he would never stay in a value again. The bus stops were just so far in all the parks and seemed to run a lot less frequently.

MNSSHP was great, walked on a bunch of rides and got tons of candy without really trying. Watched fireworks from the Hub grass in front of Casey’s, got a great spot only about 20 mins before. Watched the second parade from Frontierland, again with a great spot only about 15 min before.

Im pretty disappointed in my first F&W. I really just needed more time I guess. The heat and humidity made it really hard to spend so much time in Epcot let alone eat and drink. We spent two half days there and still only tried about half of what I wanted and that is with us sharing everything.

It was pretty hot and humid but mostly bareable and I do not like the heat.

Can’t wait for Jan/feb at BCV/BWV, will definitely get my fill of Epcot then in hopefully much cooler weather.

Hope everyone has great trips!!!!

oh my god...

I've had two projects laid on me at work with a deadline of before I leave, thanks!!! An issue with a Bank of America credit card - not affecting my trip but aggravating me none the less, and I'm having some horrible body aches from my flu shot yesterday!

I honestly can't even focus on the fact I'm leaving for vacation soon, has to take a back burner.
At this point I'm just wildly excited for Friday night and having some wine, watching a movie! :rotfl:

Sidenote: Walgreens has light up spinning jack skeleton toys and minnie/mickey light up halloween bracelets and necklaces.
I stopped at Walgreens today and saw some Halloween light up necklaces for only $2.99 each. I didn't see any Minnie/Mickey but the little ghosts were adorable. I need to go back there tomorrow and get one. ;) Thanks for posting about them. :)

We love the Hub area in front of Casey's. It is a great view from there. :)

I haven't done any research on Food & Wine - what's good and what isn't so good. We have our favorites but it is always fun to find new ones.

Work has also been crazy for me! It will be such a relief to wrap everything up. I really need to regroup and start packing this weekend because I leave bright and early next Saturday!

I also got my flu shot to hopefully avoid anything on the plane, in the airport, or at Disney! I just need to be extra careful at work! People have been getting sick left and right. I MAY have a gigantic can of Lysol on my desk that I spray if anyone with a sniffle or cough speaks to me :rotfl2:

Hope it all sorts out for you! We still have my mum in hospital and no sign of coming out so seeing to Dad is hard work on top of a normal day. Think my brother is panicking now about how he will cope while we are away. I don't feel guilty for him as they had 5 weeks away in Malaysia & Vietnam and have just been away in the UK.

Oh my goodness I know that feeling! I suddenly had 3 meetings and two days of testing this week and I haven't found out if I have coverage for the last two hours of work today so I can leave so I'm majorly freaking out about that. Hope everything works out!!! You're almost in Disney!

I know the feeling. I am on the road for work every day up until I leave. I have meetings, employee investigations and just general last minute projects that have to be done. I am officially in countdown mode. I am down to 14 days until I leave. The minute I leave work on the 25th, I am 100% in vacation mode.
The bad thing is, I don’t know how I am going to get my packing and last minute planning done.

We debated taking our flu shots before or after Disney. We decided to wait. Last year my arm got really irritated and red (first time doing that) and I had a huge itchy welt for like a week and felt bad. I was worried if I had a reaction or something this year etc. So we decided to wait till after Disney and just try and avoid, avoid, avoid. I plan on breathing as little as I can on the plane :rotfl: Well not really, but sort of :thumbsup2

Less than 24 hours till my plane leaves. Yay!!! I'm getting excited for this trip. I'm also starting to feel a little better today from my gut issues. I read peppermint oil capsules can help and sure enough are making a huge difference. Hoping by Sunday I will feel almost back to normal. Finished up schooling my son yesterday, so today is the clean aquariums, clean house, do laundry and pack day. House sitter is coming by this afternoon and I think everything is looking great.
