2018 Disney Dining Plan Prices & General Discussion

Has anyone gotten drinks with a DDP QS meal at a hotel food court? I thought the food courts only had wine by the bottle, so I was curious if wine would be an option. Can anyone recommend other beverages for a food court meal?
TIA

What if you are on the DDP; I wonder if the app is included at MM or HBD?

Dining plans are just a way to pay. There's no reason for them to give DDP users something OOP doesn't get. Not to mention, with the regular DDP, you don't get an app anywhere and using it to pay for a package in the past gave them a bonus app.

Does anyone know if an appetizer is still included with the Fantasmic dining pkg.?

My bad....I was using DDP to refer to the Deluxe Dining Plan, which includes an app, entree, dessert and beverage for lunch or dinner at every non-buffet TS.

It is my understanding that if you choose to use it for something that does not have all the entitlements, you lose whatever is not there. Ex: breakfast. You would lose the app and dessert. If you choose to use it for F!, you'll probably lose the app, but no one has reported either way, so keep a watch out for reports.

You're probably right, but I think somebody a page back posted that they were able to get an alcoholic beverage at MM on the Fantasmic Package; the poster didn't say if they were on a dining plan though, but I'm guessing they were, as the Fantasmic packages are supposed to include non-alcoholic beverages only. So if they got the alcoholic beverage because they were on the dining plan, wishful/hopeful thinking on my part, makes me believe that an app will be included as well (if you are using a deluxe DP credit)!:worship:

Please come back and let us know.

Does anyone know if you are able to get alcohol with Akershus breakfast? I don't see it as an optional drink on the menu but we are thinking of eating there and I didn't know if you could even order an alcoholic drink at breakfast time. At Cape May I see a bunch of options at breakfast. Just curious! Thanks!

Don't repost the question, but keep an eye on the "actual experience" thread. We won't know for sure until someone eats there for breakfast and reports back. Perhaps YOU will be the person to report.

I'm just curious if it is even an option - with or without the DDP - if it is even on the menu. I'm just trying to figure out if anyone has ever had alcohol with breakfast.

I cannot speak to Akershus specifically, but many of the restaurants offer things like bloody marys and bellinis at breakfast.

Yes, we did this at almost every meal. We also shared 2 meal credits among 4 people. Both were no problem at all.

We had mimosas at Tusker House along with coffee and Jungle Juice. In fact, our server offered to make our mimosas WITH Jungle Juice.

This was from the actual experiences board.

Tell me how this would work? DD16 and I are staying at BWV in March. A friend of hers and her mom are staying at CBR. They check in 2 days after us and leave a day later. Thinking about a dining plan. Mostly for convenience and not worrying about what to order. The regular DDP would cost a bit over $1000 for the week.

Then I see you can now share credits with others. So thinking of getting the DXDP for us and then sharing the cost with our friends. So 42 total meals and 28 snacks to split. It would cost about $200 less per family and we would get appetizers with meals too.

So I think that part would work but is there a way that we could get the entitlements on their magic bands too so if we separate then they can still use them too? That's the only part I am unsure if will work or not??

Unfortunately, no. The dining plan is tied to the room, and they are not in your room. You could swap magic bands, but that's the key to your room and if you have different FP+, they are accessed that way too.
