Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

To cl or not?

I know I usually am in the "it's worth it for time savings " group for a yes vote.

However I have a maybe weekend for Memorial coming up. I had poly cl booked with a ta. Dh said he would not stay there. UGH!:sad2:

He said he wanted GF and that I could get cl this time because last Sept we did a std gv room. lol I think he offered cl because I would point at SL every time we passed and say "that's where dd and I always stay" , or "that's MY usual building"!:rolleyes1

So when AP rates came out I booked TPV RPC. :flower1: It was $1000 a night pretax:sad1:

So I kept looking and last night AP for a gv non cl was $519. For almost $500 a night I can order coffee delivered to bed and eat at Narcoossees every night and $ left over.

So I was thrilled to go back to RPC but sometimes , no it's not worth it.

Don't feel bad for me tho I have a poly cl with TPV cl at CR split for 7/4:worship:

Oh I better go look for some evening ressies!

We will be staying club level at AK for the first time in late April.
Can anyone who has stayed there recently give me an idea of the food and drink options available at different times of day please?

Hey friends! We have narrowed down our choices for CL for our upcoming trip and would love your help on deciding between CL at Beach Club and CL SV AKL. We have stayed AK CL before and really loved it. Should we try BC or stick with what we know and love? We plan on staying at the resort mostly (no parks) just pool and relaxing. We will take advantage of all offerings and love the included wine and beer. We would like a room close to CL lounge. WHich do you like best and which would you recommend?!

We've stayed at both resorts (although not CL at either), and I agree with others that AKL CL would be great for a no parks trip. BC is a nice resort, but I think AKL is more relaxing. We also prefer the atmosphere, pool, and dining options at AKL. Good luck! :wizard:

I know what you mean! When I was pricing out a trip for October (rack rate), I considered RPC, but the cost was over $2000 more than Poly CL (my other choice). Even with a discount, RPC would still be a little more than I'm willing to pay for 5 nights :(.

I can't give any input on CL, but wanted to say I hope you have a great trip. AKL is a beautiful resort and I am always reading great things about CL. Have a great time :goodvibes.

Never been to AKL CL, but we have a trip there booked where we have no plans to go to a park. We're doing some other stuff around Orlando (shake things up a bit) and also plan lots of resort time. AKL seemed like a good no-park choice for us. Hoping that logic works out! :-)
We just did the same for July before our Poly CL stay. Booked with the 25% summer discount. Hoping for an AP discount!

This is an oddly specific question but I cannot recall the answer. I know CL evening apps are all subject to change but our last trip to the CL at BWI they had the mac and cheese from the ESPN Zone one evening. I am trying to recall which evening it was but my memory is lousy and I didn't keep notes. The only specific menu item that stands out in my recollection is the omelet station on Sunday morning! :)

Thanks,

Dani
When we stayed at the BWI CL in March the mac and cheese was served on a Thursday night. My favorite evening app night is Saturday night when they do a surf and turf night. On our last trip our flight was a late one so we missed the steak and scallops but my son enjoyed them when he stayed there with his girlfriend in December.

We will be moving from PORS to BC CL early in the morning (around 8:30am) on our August trip. We are obviously not expecting our BC room to be ready. Our plan was to grab CL breakfast and head into Epcot for the morning. My question is, where can we leave our backpacks (not wanting to take them into park)? Do we have to leave them with bell services or will CL CM's find a place for them? Also, our luggage will be delivered from PORS- if it comes before we get a room, will CL CM's look after it? BTW- I think it's allowed for us to arrive early and have breakfast from the lounge on our check in day? TIA

You’ll need to leave your backpacks with bell services out front, CL CMs won’t be much help there.

So you’re having Disney move your luggage from PORS to BC? It will go to Bell Services at BC - you need to either call them to have it delivered or stop by and pick it up (they don’t deliver to your room without you there like DME). In case you don’t know this, it will typically arrive pretty late in the day - ie, 3/4pm+. Sorry if you already know that.

And yes, you can arrive at BC and enjoy breakfast whenever you want the morning of your check-in day.

Hope that helps!

Thank you!

A question regarding using Disney signature services vs. calling the regular 407 WDW number, is there any advantage using DSS to book a tour vs calling the 407 number?? I read a post in the forum that someone booked a tour using DSS and I am trying to find out why....

Depends on what 407 #, but sometimes it can be quicker to call DSS (sometimes not). Once you have a credit card on file with DSS, you can do a lot of things over e-mail. One thing I used them for, for example, is booking a water park cabana. Otherwise I have to go find whatever number I'm supposed to call for those things. With DSS, just fire off an e-mail and done. Easy.

I can also ask them "can you check availability for X, Y, Z, dates" over e-mail, the answers to which may help me craft my plans. Easier for me to do that when I can stop and think vs on the fly on the phone.

got it... Thank you, again, @GADisneyDad14!

Any club level guests using the 90 day FP service who can book June 30th. I’d love to hear if Toy Story attractions have opened up yet. Thanks!

Booked our CL Fp/regular FP for 3 of our trip days today. Getting closer to vacation (although not close enough!!!) DSS rep was lovely to work with and helped arrange things in a way they made sense in the park arrangement for me for a park hop day. Fireworks reserved areas covered as well. Now to book the 2 other park days at the 60 day mark but no stress because we have all the main high request rides already done. We leave the day Toy Story opens so well try to rope drop Toy Story Mania on standby but if it too long we'll just miss it this visit as we've been on it before.

How does Disney prevent non club-level gas from hanging out in the club lounge and eating snacks? I know you have to scan a band to enter but is anyone watching that process because I'm sure one family scans in and then someone can just walk in behind?

How much more do I/we need to pay to get a Keurig in the room at Poly?? Or a Nespresso in the lounge? DH sz we need to bring our single serving Keurig with us since we are driving but with the amount we are paying for the trip I just feel...... :headache::headache::headache: :coffee:

Is YC CL worth an extra $100ish a day? I’m just trying to decide between garden room or std cl room. It will be me, DH and DDs (7 and 3)

I used DSS to book a couple tours, and they were nice enough to add the information into my itinerary in note form for me, which was great. So I think that is a plus that you don't get with the main number.
