Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

Yes that’s how I was responding. There are hardly any King rooms and all other rooms have 2 queen sized beds. I was under the impression that poster would rather have double beds than queens.

Yeah. Like you, I wasn’t sure if they actually wanted doubles or just didn’t know that Pop has gone to queens in the 2-bed rooms.

Well our perfection this trip took a stumble. They told me to check back at the desk today to make sure we have the same room all trip (2 back to back stays). Well we don’t. The lady said I should have told someone and I pointed out every single person I talked to told me they linked the reservations. I almost cried. Well the 15’s are checking in that day and they are going to be in the lake side part of 60’s. Even if I wanted to be their neighbor (and I don’t) I couldn’t stay there. She told me we will be in building 3. First floor. I quickly started packing this morning before Epcot early entry. We will leave around dinner to finish up. They will move our stuff tomorrow. I’m over being sad and ok with it now. They gave me a front office business card that is supposedly an actual pop phone number. If you want me to post I will but I dont want people to abuse it. As a side note - the groups of 15’s that we have seen both at resort and in the parks are much smaller numbers and very polite and quiet. They have not bothered us at all. Not the massive herds of the past. Of course their full numbers aren’t quite here yet.
Ugh!! I'm so sorry! We will be there in 10 days. I guess it's too much to hope that the 15s will be gone by then. They definitely lessen the magic for me.

I asked a few pages ago if the Preferred Pool View Rooms have 2 queens...for some reason, I keep thinking that we had 2 doubles in that section last September.
Can someone confirm if they actually did have 2 doubles but changed to 2 queens after the renovations?

Prior to the room refurbs they were 2 doubles. All rooms have now been refurbed (or are closed for refurb) and they are the 2 queen set up. **except for the handful of 1 king rooms** So yes, your room last September would have had 2 doubles (and carpet, no coffee maker, curtain separating vanity from main room etc) and would now have a standard queen plus a queen murphy

Thanks for clarifying! Hubby and I were having a discussion about it and I swear we had 2 doubles and he thought it was 2 queens.

Preferred pool last September was definitely 2 doubles as they did not begin renovating those rooms until either December 2017 or January 2018.

Back to Pop in August! booked preferred this time so now have to research all over what building will be requested. Was in 80's section last time and really liked the location-walked over to AoA alot. First time hubby will be at a value though LOL!

I'm sorry, I should have said 'a room with two regular beds in it'! Apologies for the confusion!

Anyway, it sounds like we should just expect that we won't be able to get a king size bed.

I’m just salty because Germany was eliminated yesterday :rotfl2: I don’t want celebration, I want to wallow!!!!

(Sorry everyone, no more soccer talk from me :) )

So perhaps we will see you around Pop? I’m super excited to see these new rooms. Pop has always been our go to resort for “bonus” trips and it’s been years since we have been there (or WDW for that matter)
No offense, but they were the ONE team I wanted eliminated lol. I hope Brazil can take it all since the US isn't in it.

For anyone interested,POP now has a special "complaint or praise" email address-I think it at least shows they want to try to make all their Guests happy.:)

I can tell you first-hand that this e-mail address works -- they are definitely reading and responding. In addition, they intend for this e-mail to be used while you're on site, so you can e-mail with any questions or issues during your stay. It's not just for general or post-stay feedback.

We got the same letter (different contact info) in our suite at AoA last week and my son said he had one in his room at Boardwalk so it looks like it's being done across the property. I think it's a great idea.

Did the address follow the same pattern, e.g. WDW.GM.[ResortName]@Disney.com?

We've been during Flower and Garden three times, and while it's pretty I find it kind of meh. The food choices weren't that exciting this year for me. I definitely think i'm going to try, its rough when you get more vacation than all your family lol. If only the baby was older!
I am taking my 6 mo old in late August. You are never too young for Disney!

Got back on Tuesday from a quick 5-night birthday trip for my son.

Overall, still love Pop. The housekeeping was ABYSMAL though. I talked with two people at the resort and nothing got done about it. housekeeping is one thing we depend on - I spend all my time at home cleaning, making beds, etc. For 5 nights, I wanted someone to take care of me. It was a big bummer. I will be emailing that GM email here shortly (saw the letter in my room, didn't read thoroughly - thought it was about the gondola!).

We requested 70's, got 70's. Great room, quick to busses. 2 queens, no tub. 6272.

James, Gordo, and Fallon at Petals - as always, top notch. The summer drinks - blueberry lemonade and whiskey strawberry thing were fantastic.

Love the new rooms, too...the barndoors are my favorite. Takes up so much less room!
