“Frozen Ever After Dessert Party” with Fireworks Viewing and After-Close Attraction Ride

I've decided to just give up on the FEA Dessert Party. It's exactly 4 weeks till Sept. 1st and still no availability. If I happen to see it available I may shuffle things around and grab a reservation but not holding my breath.

JimmyMouse, it looks like we're going to be at WDW AGAIN at the same time this year. I remember last year.... we were both at the Princess Breakfast at Akershus at the same time and had similar experiences during the hurricane. I'm glad I'm not the only one - my non-Disney family thinks we (the Disney-crazy fam members) are nuts going back after what happened last year. I'm like... Yes, we are. And guess what? Adding those 2 extra days last year to make up for the closed parks days inspired us to reserve 11 days this year instead of 7! Have a great trip. We just got our Magic Bands today.pixiedust:Also, we're like you. We'll add the Frozen party if it magically is offered Sept 1 - 11. If not, oh well. We have a couple of FEA fp+ and we made 8 pm ressies at Rose & Crown to have a nice (hopefully) sit down view of Illuminations.

Yep! Last year was the best trip ever! Irma didn’t bother us one bit!

I'm appalled. Unless it's written down and in front of them, most phone CMs are clueless as to what actually goes on in the real world of Walt Disney World. It's disappointing and unprofessional for a CM to divulge to callers what's been discussed off line between CMs, especially if those phone CMs they're chatting with are clueless as well.

Something is going on regarding the release of the dates, but it's certainly not because the party is unpopular. Every time I've been there, which has been frequently, it's been sold out and I've heard nothing but good things from guests.

I don't think the CM meant any harm in saying that to me, and I know how clueless they can be most of the time so I took it with a grain of salt personally. I have my own opinion about whats going on with this party and I'm sticking to that. I do however agree with you that its not losing popularity and that they can still justify offering it. I also have experienced sold out parties every time I've booked this in the past and heard nothing but good reviews.

Agreed, but stuff like that should be kept to themselves.

Care to share it?

Glad you agree, but keep in mind that my observations are not based on attending the party a few times, I'm at Epcot either near the party or at the party on hundreds of nights every year, in fact, I'll be there twice this week, so it's not an opinion.

I'm at a loss to explain what the heck is going on. Clearly the person I spoke with was wrong. I'm confident she had access to the September schedule, otherwise she would've never been able to check dates for me. But as we can all see, she was wrong about them being released in the next couple of days. Perhaps she is in charge of posting the schedule but as FastPasser said, is not in control of when she can post it and was just assuming it woud be when she said. But now it has me wondering that if it's possible they are cancelling and she's just not high enough on the chain to be aware of it.

Here's my problem: We're only going on Aug 31 if it IS cancelled after that date. It's going to be a whirlwind trip, only meant to see ROE one last time. Since I'm already going in October, my hope is that I was wrong when I bet months ago that Aug 31 would be the last date and I can cancel our reservations. I have to cancel within 5 days of that date or I get charged. I'm so tired of being on watch! On top of that, my FP booking comes up Saturday. I really need to know if ROE is showing so I can choose which parks which days! I know, 1st world problems, but aren't all Disney problems 1st world???

So bottom line, I'm on release watch with everyone else hoping they either post dates or announce a cancelllation soon!

Oh and boo!!! to the troll. Not funny at all. People invest thousands of dollar on their trips so this is no trivial matter.

No need to wonder, that is absolutely the case. She's one notch above me and I'm just a flunky front line CM, which I'm ok with.

I LOVE Illuminations, the Tapestry of Nations music and Promise by Kelly Coffie which is played after Illuminations.
I must have seen it 20 or 30 times over the last twenty years, we always see it at least once a year but probably closer to four times a year! I think maybe the reason that the FEA party isn’t scheduled is because Illuminations is going away sooner rather than later.

We were lucky enough to see Illuminations in June, and I said to myself at the time that that might be the last time I would see it. However, as our next trip is only 9 weeks away I’ve been hoping and praying it wasn’t the last time, that they couldn’t possibly stop Illuminations without giving people at least a few months notice so they can arrange a trip to see their beloved show, as I know there are many fans. However, all the signs are pointing to the imminent discontinuation of Illuminations.( Fastpasser, say it ain’t so!)

In my opinion, FEA is head and shoulders above all of the othe Dessert Parties( I consider myself an expert, did six at Christmas including FEA twice!) and this is just too much to take, I’m still not over Wishes!
