I wish they did a Canadian AP price lol
Me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish they did a Canadian AP price lol
Just checked the Disney website and it looks like Canadian resident tickets are back! Must purchase by March 15, 2019 and use by September 27, 2019. Also looks like December 24, 2018-January 1, 2019 are blocked out.
I noticed that there is a discrepancy on the Disney site for the ticket expiry date. On the main page scrolling down it matches what you quoted however when clicking on " view details" button, the expiry is Dec 31, 2019. It says "For all tickets, first use must occur on or before December 31, 2019".
It's so Disney to post conflicting information.
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/en_CA/tickets/#canadaResidentTicketsPassesTickets and any options purchased must be used within 14 days of first use, except for Florida Resident 3-Day and 4-Day Tickets. Florida Resident 3-Day and 4-Day Tickets expire 180 days after first use. For all tickets, first use must occur on or before December 31, 2019.
All tickets and options are nontransferable and nonrefundable and exclude activities/events separately priced. Water Parks subject to rehabilitation, seasonal and weather closures.
Multi-day tickets (unless upgraded to a Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus option) are valid for admission to one theme park per day.Tickets must be purchased between August 29, 2018 and March 15, 2019. Tickets and any options purchased expire 14 days after first use or on September 27, 2019, whichever occurs first

All adult Guests must present valid proof of Canadian residency that includes a government-issued photo ID to exchange the certificate for a valid ticket at the theme park ticket window or Guest Relations prior to first use. Residents of Canada who are not Canadian citizens must bring a valid passport and proof of Canadian residency. Tickets will be sold as exchange certificates which must be redeemed at the theme park main entrance for admission. If the Guest selects Will Call as the delivery method, the Guest must present valid proof of Canadian residency that includes a government-issued photo ID to exchange the Will Call certificate for a valid ticket at the theme park window or Guest Relations prior to first use. Offer is valid for advance purchase only and is not available at Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket windows.
I have a question for those who've purchased the Canadian priced tickets in the past. Reading through the offer details it says that you get a voucher that you have to take to guest services to get your ticket. Can they still be attached ahead of time to your MDE account/magic bands? Just wondering how that works with booking FP, etc.
"Tickets will be sold as exchange certificates, which must be redeemed at the theme park Main Entrance for admission."
Does this mean you can't link them to your account for booking Fastpasses ahead of time? What about Magic bands?
Thanks - that's good to know. Then what is the point of the voucher they talk about? Can we not confirm residency with our resort when we check in?It isn't an issue, you are still given a number to link to your MDE account.

Well that's annoying! LOL So we can attach them to our account, book FP's and everything, but will need to show proof of residency before they will work with our magic bands? No, you have to confirm residency at the park or at Guest Services at Disney Springs.

Got it. Thanks so much for clarifying things! This will save us about $425 taking the exchange rate into account, but I just wanted to make sure I know how it works first!Yes. You can't enter a park until you have shown proof of residency. We did Disney Springs.

Is there any reason you can't wait the month to decide? If I'm reading correctly, the tickets can be bought at this price until March. Am I missing something?Hi !
Should I wait for Stay, Play and Dine package or book tickets with this promotion, room only discount (for first week of march) and then no dining plan but pay out of my pocket ?
Stay, Play and Dine package and Room Only Discounts are not out yet for 2019 but should be with the next month or so.
Thanks!
Where would you go in Disney Springs?

We used Canadian Resident tickets last year, a group of 3 and a group of 2. Our first day, at Animal Kingdom, we went first to the ticket booth before the park entrance to do the proof of residency. Group of 3 (us) went to one window and group of 2 to the other. Group of 2 finished really quickly while they were still verifying ours and they went off ahead to the park entrance. They were confused why ours was taking so long. Then we get to the park entrance and it wouldn't let them in; the CM at the entrance told them they had to go to the ticket window and verify their residency (which pissed them off a bit because they thought they already had!). Long story short, whoever checked their tickets didn't go through all the steps they were supposed to!
It only added 5 minutes to our day (which began with an hour-plus wait for Navi River Journey), but I'd strongly consider doing it at Disney Springs to get it done in advance and save the holdup at the park.
