I think it’s intresting that people have such crazy thoughts on THC especially medical if they don’t know how it works , they just see “ drugs “ .I now vacation easier given I don’t have to tote around bags of pills at Disney .. no one bats a eye at me taking strong opioids but would judge if I carry two small THC capsules..
I promise I will be more together then someone drinking their way around the world all day and night lol being someone who was not a user when I was younger and starting at 40 I can tell you it’s not BS .. it does work for so many issues . This is a medication that can be safely medically used on children for serious illnesses.

Re naloxone kits..would you rather people just died from their od?
I'd rather they have access to meaningful treatment. I'm not a drug addict and I never will be but I try to think of this from the perspective of a parent/family member. Of course you wouldn't want your child/spouse/sibling to die in the street but when you think about it, all that's really happening is they're being "revived", sometime repeatedly, only to keep using until it does kill them. Although painfully few of them actually want help, even if they did, it's simply not available. Tell me how that benefits society? How? Simply framing those of us who oppose this policy as cruel doesn't make it any less insane.

But that proves my point. Your friend uses root beer paper to partially cover up the taste. It's kind of like liver. Potatoes, onions, and bacon improve the taste. But Potatoes, bacon and onions would taste better without the liver. :)

Says the one that started with the incivility.
Nope sorry ... how can you say that “ no one likes it “ ? I enjoy the taste of my products a lot .. which include vape, oils , distillate and a array of other edibles. I also know MANY patients that prefer the natural marijuana taste and complain if other stuff is added .

That you're using various vapes, flavors, oils, and edibles to cover it up means you're not exactly thrilled with the taste either.

Not to be rude but you have no idea if you would ever be a addict, you could have to have a surgery and something not go right and end up on meds ..

no , the oils they use to mix with them are not “ flavored “ the only flavored one I use is a cotton candy vape because I like the cotton candy flavor not to cover up the taste .

I understand your point, but no, I will never be an addict.

I guess we'll agree to disagree. This costs many, many millions of public dollars per year. At the same time, meaningful addiction treatment is practically impossible to access through our health system; there are 35 in-patient beds in our city for a population of 1.2 million. Private facilities are largely beyond reach, cost-wise, for the average addict because with a public heath care system very few people have supplemental private insurance that would cover addiction treatment. So instead of even attempting to address the need, we give addicts a cozy place to smoke, snort or shoot with cartoons playing on tv and sugary snacks provided. Oh, and free naloxone kits available to everyone through pharmacies and fire halls, all while gang violence fueled entirely by the drug trade rage. It's simply disgraceful. :sad2:

Yikes. Rehab is pretty easy to access here in the states. I was just thinking of the shameful amount of people who die where I am from this crisis...and I largely blame the pharma industry pushing these drugs. I mean, they will give me multiple kinds of opioids and have, I just won't use them; and there are tons of people walking around way worse than I am from a pain management position. I was just thinking "less people dying and getting help" especially since you mentioned medical professionals. I didn't realize there was no further help coming. Shame they aren't treating the root of it and not just the immediate shooting up issues of od, etc. This picture is far different than the happy one I was envisioning previously. So, people not dying is still great, but not getting systemic help is certainly less valuable.

It should be legalized everywhere , for 12 yrs I was in MANY strong opioids and they would still just keep giving them out ... I thought I would never be free of pills .. when I asked my dr he ENCOURAGED me to get my MMJ card and turns out .. it worked , 7 months I’m and I’m almost completely off the pills and the side effects are minimal to none using the MMJ .
I don’t sit around high all day or smoking .. I found what worked FOR ME .. which was capsules I fill with oil and the vape for extra pain relief and insomnia. I didn’t sleep longer then a few hours for a decade even with sleep meds until now . I feel safe using this as medication and I don’t worry I will accidentally OD .

Nope. :sad1: No further help is coming - you put that perfectly. See now why it seems so surreal? What is coming though are ruthless dealers and tons of gang-violence. Thanks to these handy sites they don't have to go far to find a thriving market. This is a very peaceful and safe city overall, but there are 2 of these places here and the vicinities have turned into virtual no-go zones for the rest of us.

As per usual, I stupidly thought it was a great idea...of course, why would that be true in reality? Wish my business acumen translated into non professional understanding. I keep thinking people are decent...naive I know.

In your defense, it is pretty unbelievable, let alone a situation you'd immediately intuit.

Yay Canada. Chicago has decriminalized pot possession (for small amounts). My DH has been smoking pot most of his life - he likes it. Has spent 27 years at the same company, works hard and pot makes him happy. Looking forward to having a new governor (fingers crossed) as he wants to make pot legal.
Also liking Canada for their assisted suicide law. Why can Canada be so open and the US so backwards?

I have not had this experience with my sister as far as easy access to rehab. There have been times it’s been impossible to get any detox or rehab facility to take her. She had detoxed once in jail and my dad picked her up and took her straight to the ER because she couldn’t walk unassisted or talk. No beds were available, but they told my dad that if he took her out of the hospital and let her get high, he could return with her and they could “probably” find her a bed in a detox facility. And it’s not always easy to get a bed in detox either, especially if you have a dual diagnosis with a mental health disorder. These facilities are full. People get turned away when they are most in need of help.

Terrible. Seems like there are so many around here they couldn't be full. Way more treatment facilities than hospitals.

You're the poster child for exactly WHY marijuana needs to be legalized.I'm with you on the pain relief and sleep assistance. It works really well, and I'm certainly a convert to CBD oil and gummies.Indica gummies-what a great help!

I make indica capsules for bed and use about 3 puffs of a hybrid vape and I get EIGHT HOURS .. which may not seem like a big deal to most but when your literally suffering getting regular amounts of sleep is basically a miracle. This is now my night time meds , it USE to be two ( yes two ) ambien , z quill and two Valium ... so this is 100% better for me and even with the other stuff I only slept maybe 3 hours .
