I had friends in high school that said to watch the office and I couldn’t get into it. I watched parks and rec first and the office was a lot more bearable after that. Dh cringes the whole time we watch it lol

Yep, DH, too. Right now we're trying to see if Jack Ryan on Prime is worth watching and I'm still not sold on it but we just started. I worked in a crazy, disfunctional, bizarre office, but it's been long enough since I quit that watching The Office doesn't make me feel like I'm at work.

Question - We were discussing how putting purchases on a Platinum will extend a warranty, and that adding Apple Care with that card would extend it to 3 years instead of the 2 years Apple offers. Do I have to put the phone purchase on that Platinum as well? DH found a deal through AT&T that would give us $300 off new iPhones, but they want us to do the whole contract/monthly payment thing for the phones, but I want the extra warranty since we always end up using it on our phones. Can we do both - get the monthly AT&T deal to save $600, pay for Apple Care up front on the Plat and still get the extended warranty?

We are getting a WinCo Foods, is that a good churner grocery store? We don’t have any grocery stores where I can buy VGC/MCGC here in Tulsa, OK.

I live in Oregon and we have WinCo Foods. Guessing this would be the same chain. You can find really good prices on food but they only accept cash, check, Debit cards. I have asked before if they would ever take credit cards and was told no due to the fees. They are able to keep food prices down by only taking cash.

Anyone have a packable duffle or zippered tote bag?

I need something that won't take up much room in a carryon that we can then use to bring home souvenirs. We're not checking bags on our way to Delhi because I don't want to change luggage with a connection, even a 4 hour connection. Coming home doesn't matter as much.

I tried one episode of Jack Ryan and didn't like it

I like our Nike bag that we used for Japan.

It is so good! It’s one of the best movies I’ve watched in awhile.

We watched the Christmas Chronicles again instead. I have been trying to get DD to watch it and she gave in tonight 😜😜 she really liked it
Watching Good Luck Charlie Christmas special on D+ with DD8. It's actually really cute and funny.
We watched that when it originally aired several years ago. We were surprised at how cute it was.

I really liked it. I watched both seasons. I'm a big fan of the books and the original movies with Harrison Ford. I'm in my late 40's if that helps.

We’re watching Klaus on Netflix and omg is it good! We both agreed this is such a good movie, way better than Frozen 2.
Good to hear! Adding it to our list of Christmas movies. I have a mini stocking with popsicle sticks in it that have names of movies on them. Each day in December we pick one out randomly and watch. I like to add in new ones as we find them.

I've read the original books and seen those movies and I liked them, too, so yeah, this helps. It's a weird kind of reboot since it's in the present day, but I'm ok with it so far.

Oooooh pumpkin chocolate chip cake? I would love to see this recipe ❤ I have a PCC cookie recipe I love

I asked my sister the baker and she says it's from a blog called Sally's Baking Addiction. The recipe is called "Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake".

So what are everyone's big Black Friday scores?
I did take advantage of a 20% off deal on Christmas trees at Home Depot to get the hyper-realistic prelit tree we've had our eye on for a while. It was a SAGA to get it though...our first choice of tree was showing as sold out everywhere online, so I sent DH out to try and find the tree that was a doorbuster deal. Of course it was already gone at our local store and he didn't have time to drive over to another location. So after work I went to two Home Depots to try and find either the doorbuster tree or the one we were originally interested in. I looked at Lowe's - no good options were in stock. I sadly ate some McDonald's for dinner (it's been a long day for Reasons) and decided to stop in at just one more Home Depot before giving up, the one he went to earlier in the day. And there was our tree, the one we really wanted that was supposedly sold out within a 100 mile radius! I called DH and made him meet me with the gift card and his CIP, lol. Between the Black Friday sale price and a gift card we received at our housewarming we got a $300 tree for about $190. Woo!

I worked today so we didn't do any more in-store shopping, although I'm still trying to optimize my cart at Target.com before the deadline today to get that 20% off coupon. Hoping to get some parent presents knocked out with the deals on sweaters and books. Now I just need to figure out if my FIL would prefer Mike Rowe's memoirs or a summary of the synoptic gospels....

We don't have time to watch a movie everyday (teens and their crazy schedules lol) but we definitely watch way more movies in Dec so I also love having new ones to add to our list. Your mini stocking with movie names on popsicle sticks is so cute! Might have to steal it :D

If I'm being totally honest, we don't do much school during December. I usually plan it off so we have more time for Advent and Christmas. It's my favorite time of year and I find myself totally distracted from school, meaning we watch them mid day often. Our schedule has become so crazy that I can definitely see we might not get to it every day. We don't watch TV most days so it's a treat to get to watch something every day for a while.

I am curious to see the recommendations you get. I’m looking for a new one too. The only duffle bag I have is VS Pink with giant PINK text & the dog logo all over it, and I am past the life stage where that is cute :p

We actually had a few years when we took off school from Thanksgiving until a couple of weeks into Jan. That was our 'summer break' and then because we still could take a 'Christmas break', we would take 2-3 weeks in the summer. I actually loved that because we also love to focus on Advent and Christmas and I also am highly distracted, as are my kids lol!!! But with college and high schoolers, life changes and the focus changes and we are now more locked into a rigid schedule.

I let my boys watch educational shows like 'Wild Kratts', 'Magic School Bus', 'Liberty Kids' and 'Carmen Sandiego' a few days a week once we are done with school and haven't joined into the rat race yet. And then I enjoy a nap :D That is really their only tv other than a couple movies a week (Fri and Sat night) and well, football, of course lol.
