Hi everyone, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Krogers has the Happy Bride and Happy Student gift cards on sale on their website for 15% off, limit 3. These can be converted to Disney at BBB, although some BBB's will not allow you to use them to purchase gift cards. The deal is from now thru 12/31, although sometimes these deals end early so buy ASAP.

I also bought 2 of the GC in GE (must put a minimum of $100 on first fill) and was able to use them any where Disney gc are used. They make a great souvenir, and end up being free. I got one of those when I was there last month too. They are pretty cool looking. I was going to give it to my son for his birthday this summer, but we are taking him to Disney in March so I might give it to him early to use on the trip.

Since our last big trip was paid off back in April, I've been out of the loop a bit.

Went to Sams and tried getting some of the Disney $75 packs (which are at 4.9% discount) but had trouble paying with a couple of WM eGCs I had.. So apparently you can no longer use GCs as form of payment if order includes GCs? When did this start?

Still have a $400 WM eGC from an upgrade during BF...

This just happened to me, too, this past Monday I think? Tried at the self check and the girl told me I’d have to go through the line to use giftcards. Did that and the girl at the register said that her register told her it couldn’t be done. It DID still let me use online for now

How bout Sam’s club? Up to 8% discounts on Disney GC when using Sams Mastercard via “Scan and Go” (5% cashback + 3% club discount).

The Kroger offer for happy gift cards (if that is what you are referring to) is online and gets shipped to you; you don't need to live near a Kroger's to purchase them. Otherwise, your best bet is probably to purchase at BJ's where Disney is usually 4% off + the 2% your credit card gives you (I am assuming you have a credit card that gives you at least 2%). A BJ's online membership cost $10 but you can get a one day online shopping pass for free. Another thought is that most of the Amex offers expire on 12/31 so if you wait intil the end of next week, it is possible we will see some new Amex offers out.

Also, raise has Disney gift cards right now for 1.26% off plus you can get 5% cashback from mr rebates plus the 2%+ from your credit card.

One more point, someone recently had a very difficult time with their BJ's purchase of Disney gift cards that came unactivated and it was a hassle dealing with them. However, most other people (myself included) did not have that problem.

On the other hand, I had a horror story with a Disney egift card from Target a few summers ago and a few people had problems getting theirs last summer. I posted about it here: https://www.disboards.com/threads/disney-gift-card-deals.2941964/page-1782#post-59981094

The point is, at some point every one of these stores can have a problem and it can happen to anyone. So I wouldn't avoid any one store based on one or 2 glitches.

Yah, I maxed out when BJs had the 6% I'm kicking myself for not ordering more, but I didn't realize that I had a very generous gift coming from a family member.

Honestly, I have more issues with e-gift cards than physical. For whatever reason they simply won't scan properly and the cashier has to manually enter the #'s.

I bought a $500 walmart egift card on raise, then flipped it over to sams.com and purchased a $500 DGC on Saturday. I hope this isn't going to be the new policy because I have been averaging about 12% off by the time I am done with the 3% CB on raise, the 3% BOA CB, and the rakuten/rtmn/topcash cash back (and I know these are a gamble) added to the already discounted Sams gift card price. I still have $3000 to go for my cruise next year.

ShopDisney is 6% on RMN. If someone was trying to max out CF you could pay through Paypal for another 5%. As always YMMV on RMN but I've always had luck with ShopDisney.
