We did lose 2 in our party. DW and DD5 made the call to waive it off, no matter what happens.

A day/afternoon of pool time leads to tired children. And tired children and going back out to the parks with unknown timing / outcome sometimes doesn’t mix. So we decided not to push the issue.

DS9 and I are carrying on though. We thought putting ourselves a Skyliner ride away would be a reasonable strategy. Plus we love Epcot, so all won’t be lost if it doesn’t work out.

LOL, this thread actually made me change our plans for Saturday. With a 4 yr old and an 8 yr old daughter, I just couldn’t drag them through this. We’re going to brave the crowds at MK on Sat and will revisit Galaxy’s Edge maybe next year. I realize the crowds will be bad at MK too, but at least they can ride multiple rides. My concern was standing in line for a total of 6 hours and riding three rides at DHS. My daughter squealed with joy when I told her we’re doing MK instead, so I guess I made the right decision.

Your time has come young padawan! May the Force Be With you... (and also with you - anybody else like to say that 🤣 )

It worked out!!!!!

If the ride continues to perform, they may only get to around 160-170 today unfortunately. This might be the first time since the opening few days that they didn't get to all the BGs...Or at least since they instituted the "backup BG" process. Am I right there? (somebody correct me if I'm wrong).

Eh - I don't want to be too pessimistic though...if they REALLY hit their stride they can still get through a ton of BGs, especially if they keep calling them until 9pm or a little thereafter... I'm crossing my fingers that everybody who has a BG gets a ride today!

Another factor might be that some people gave up and won't return for their BGs since it got so late, so maybe they'll cruise through some BGs here quicker!

Thanks to all for sharing your experiences! Just returned home and successfully rode RotR 3 times (last ride today required a bit of help from CMs).

Day 1: Arrived before park opening (6 am), inside park by 5:35 am, got BG 20 right at 6 am, Group called at 6:30 am

Day 2: Tapped into park at 6:01 (park opened at 6 am), received BG 101 at 6:02, Group called ~1:00 pm

Day 3 (this morning): Tapped into park at 6:33 am (7 am park opening), but at 7 am the Join Boarding Group button would not go live on either phone - one was on WDW WiFi, one on ATT, one start fresh starting the app right at 7 while the other was already in the app and kept refreshing. Neither phone would even allow us to get a BG until 7:04 and got 128. We were not the only guests with this issue this morning and folks around us had the same problem. Problem was, our flight home left at 1:30 pm and we knew from previous days (and this thread) that would never be called in time. After sharing our circumstances with a CM, we were allowed to tap in early so we could ride before having to leave today. Of course, I then had to drive lightspeed to make it to the airport in time!
