**July 2020**

We just re-booked our re-book to July 7-14. Not long after - saw where masks were going to be required. Now I am looking at cancelling. May 23rd is the last day we can cancel and still get our deposits back, which does not give enough time to see if any of the rules will change before we go. We had to cancel our trip last year, we only get to go every 4 years or so. My husband and I are both teachers/basketball coaches - so summer is the only option for us.

I want to see my 5 year old smile when she sees Disney (she was 1 the last time we went), and not have a mask cover it up (not sure how I would keep a mask on her).

I live in Mississippi, and can't imagine wearing a mask outside here for that long, much less in a theme park for 12 hour days.

We would still go if we’re able to. I wonder if people would have to wear masks while social distancing at pools too or if the pools would be closed?

I’m also wondering how they’ll deal with eating at the parks. Obviously they’ll be selling food and beverages still, and people would be allowed to take their masks off while dining, but lots of eating and drinking happens while walking around the parks. They need to get Patrick Warburton working on a pre-park safety video :-)

Jumping in to say HI to everyone.

We were originally booked for June 19 - 26, celebrating our anniversary. A few days ago, I booked a backup July 18 - 25 trip. After much thought, I went ahead and cancelled my June reservation today. Even if they do open in mid June, I'm not sure I want to go until I see how things are going. On the plus side, we'll now celebrate our daughter's 11th birthday while there, if we get to go!

So we are July 18 -25 at Pop. Me and DH, and our kiddos DS (14) and DD (10, but will turn 11 a few days into our trip).

We are booked for the exact same dates at Pop. I will say that we feel like this trip's not going to happen for us because we're not going down there with face mask being a requirement. I'm going to keep holding out till we get to the 30-day mark and hopefully know more then and decide. But I'm so hoping that all of us can do this trip!!

Same, though I would be fine with masks for indoor attractions. I am not wearing a mask outside in the heat.

We have almost the same dates at Pop, with arrival on the 19th! I also have June 14-18 which I am not sure what will happen there. I would love to be able to go this summer since I am not renewing my AP.

I’ve got a trip July 7-15 and July 19-25 booked at Pop. We had our dance recital tentatively rescheduled right in the middle of our first trip if masks are a requirement for outside attractions , we won’t go. If masks are a requirement, we may look at upgrading to a deluxe for 2-3 night and just relax for a few days (if the pools are open).

I am scheduled July 10-19 at the GF. This was supposed to be a special mom/daughter trip for me and my girl. We have gone every summer together since she was 3, and this was to be our last trip for a while. I booked the trip on Hotwire as a Hot Rate, and it's non refundable as of now. Got out tix through Undercover Tourist. I realize it was a risk when I booked, but I did long before Covid reared it's ugly head. I want to cancel, but can't. I understand the need for masks, but it's not something I can do outside in the Florida heat.

We have a trip booked for July. I hope we can still go. I do wonder what it will be like wearing a mask all day. I also hope there will be firework shows, pools open ext. I understand everyone’s safety comes first, so I am ok with the masks...just wondering what it will be like. It would be nice if we can not wear them outside and just need them in ride lines or inside. Wishful thinking maybe?

Well, we knew it was coming, Disney canceled the Performing Arts program through October. We were going June 29 - July 6 with our DD's Dance company so our whole group is out. I've been prepared for this but still a bummer. The tour company wants to re-book us for July 2021, but we have to commit by next Saturday  ugh, would rather just book my own trip.

For those that go in July, I hope it's an enjoyable time! If anyone is looking for dining reservations, I'm sure a bunch will be opening up in the next couple days.

Our cruise was cancelled but we still have 7/21-7/25 booked for our pre-cruise trip... We're supposed to be going with a friend of the family. Basically waiting for him to decide. If he bails, DH doesn't want to go... and I understand and mostly agree, but part of me just really really really wants this trip :( I figured if anyone understands, it's the rest of the July travelers. He has til Thursday night to make up his mind - FP day is Friday. Having one of those days.

We're currently booked from July 9th - 17th. My wife is a nurse, and is worried how the mask thing will go. She is skeptical on how anyone would be able to wear a mask in the Florida heat and humidity without any kind of issues. At some point, someone will need to take a breath of air. Simply put, she does not think it's possible to keep a mask on the entire time. However we will try our best and do what we must to be respectful to the person by us, and abide by the rules of Disney. Of course, this all depends on what and how much is open as well. If not all the parks are open by this time, we may very well reschedule all together to December.

I’ve ordered those summer, moisture wicking gaiter masks that fishermen wear in Florida,I’m thinking they’ll be cool and fairly comfortable? Staying hopeful :flower1:

We are booked July 20-31 and I ordered hats with attached plastic face shields from Amazon last night. I figured this would be a way to make the M issue easier in the heat and with the kiddo. It’s a race against time to see if they arrive in time (assuming the parks are open, of course) :P

I like both of the last two posters’ ideas: the sun gaiter face covers and the face shields. I wish Disney would specify what they deem to be “appropriate face coverings” because I’m not sure what to get and I’m worried that I’ll plan and pack and then be told we can’t wear this or that when we arrive at the parks. The Disney Springs information just says “appropriate face coverings” are mandatory, but doesn’t list any qualifications of what they deem “appropriate.”

Do you think those would be allowed on their own, or are you planning on wearing those in addition to masks?
