I believe that it's a resort discount of 35% off what my initial rate was.
okay thanks. For a sec I thought I missed a discount announcement. We are early Nov, so I hear you on hoping CL is back

While of course we've known it wasn't happening for awhile now, cancelling 7/4 week Poly CL trip just now kinda burned. We've had the good fortune of being at Poly CL for a few recent 7/4s and NYEs and it's always such a special/fun time to be at the resort, and one of few times where staying CL has a unique advantage. I had held off on actually cancelling the reservation for no other reason than I just didn't want to let it go.
We will look forward to better times and the eventual return of our favorite resorts and CLs.
Did you call to see where you would be moved to?While of course we've known it wasn't happening for awhile now, cancelling 7/4 week Poly CL trip just now kinda burned. I had 7/4 and canceled too because dd going to the beach instead.
The ability to get your temp taken every morning at your resort , guaranteed park entry, open feature pools and water park and express pass are fantastic. I heard they moved their CL to conference rooms to allow more spreading out Of guests and to start everything is prepackaged at RP.This is heading towards OT for this thread but I see comments about Uni CL and the Uni resorts somewhat often, so looking for some help/support/assurance from those with experience.
We're a WDW family true and true, have never been to Uni or their resorts (for no particular reason, just have never had the right opportunity to go).
Our trip is before the WDW parks open, so were going to use the time to hit other Central FL things we always say we want to do but never do. I could have kept the WDW stay (and moved to a villa) but as I posted about above I cancelled it as I had also booked Royal Pacific CL. My original thinking was we'd rather try something new, there was transparency that they are open, we've really wanted to go to Volcano Bay.
As soon as I cancelled WDW I had some pretty strong regret - fear of the unknown vs known I guess. It can't be undone so it is what it is. Just looking for some positive vibes about Royal Pacific CL.
Thanks all.
Oh I do hope you go and enjoy it!!! As an anxious person your post resonates - I love Orlando so much in part because it is known and comforting. Still, the thrill of a new adventure is worthwhile and the universal deluxe equivalent hotels are very nice. Loew’s staff are top notch and we have overall had excellent service at RPR and Portofino Bay. I love their pools!!!This is heading towards OT for this thread but I see comments about Uni CL and the Uni resorts somewhat often, so looking for some help/support/assurance from those with experience.

I don't have experience with RPR but I really liked our CL stay at Portofino Bay. A small boat (never crowded) took us to the park entrance. I thought the rooms were more 'deluxe' than Disney's rooms and the cocktail hour was also 'better'. (I have also stayed at HRH and the pool was nice but I really didn't like the style/atmosphere of the resort, in general)This is heading towards OT for this thread but I see comments about Uni CL and the Uni resorts somewhat often, so looking for some help/support/assurance from those with experience.
Dd is a potter fan as well as I . We did HRH for the walkability. Loved the express pass included. This is heading towards OT for this thread but I see comments about Uni CL and the Uni resorts somewhat often, so looking for some help/support/assurance from those with experience.

We’ve actually tried all three Universal CLs and really enjoyed them all. We LOVE the Polynesian, so we gravitated towards RP right away. The breakfast is very similar to what you would find at Disney. The grab and go snacks are super useful and do save money, along with the soft drinks and water bottles. Dinner was okay, I have food allergies so they did prepare me a meal but it was so salty I couldn’t eat it. You can call and get the menu for your days in advance, which I found super helpful. You are limited to a short window for drinks, but they will give you drinks “to go” that you can stash in the room fridge for the next day. No POG mimosas, but these are hard times, after all. This is heading towards OT for this thread but I see comments about Uni CL and the Uni resorts somewhat often, so looking for some help/support/assurance from those with experience.

Our first time being there will be July 4th weekend, but this was shared with me via their guest services as their current offerings. Hope it helps! This is heading towards OT for this thread but I see comments about Uni CL and the Uni resorts somewhat often, so looking for some help/support/assurance from those with experience.

We are a Poly family that loves USO, too! We have stayed at RP, HRH and PF. We enjoyed the club at RP. Breakfast about the same but more meal like options later in the day. They have bottled water too. The express passes and not having to preplan anything is great. City walk has a lot of restaurants. Cowfish is our favorite. There is a thread regarding APH rates and information which is very helpful and saved us a lot of $$$ as the AP cost is not much more than a park ticket and there is a current promotion. Kids like the HRH pool the best. Pool hopping is allowed. This is heading towards OT for this thread but I see comments about Uni CL and the Uni resorts somewhat often, so looking for some help/support/assurance from those with experience.

I could live with that if Disney did it with an espresso machine. Our first time being there will be July 4th weekend, but this was shared with me via their guest services as their current offerings. Hope it helps!
The draw of low crowds in HP world is strong- and I’m in CA I also have become much more interested in Volcano Bay as I’ve never been...We’ve actually tried all three Universal CLs and really enjoyed them all. In terms of the parks, we are not “grownup ride” people and still love Universal. The HP areas are amazing and this is the year to go! Usually, it’s so crowded that you can’t even do the wand tricks without having to wait for quite a while. The appeal of low crowds plus Express pass is going to be the best thing you’ve experienced in a while! I think you will all love it. My mom, who is NOT a theme park person (but loves Disney) is even talking about taking a few days out of our girls week in August to go to Universal so that she can see it with the low crowds .
2 days was fun but longer is too much at US.
