Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

Have you tried looking at the flexible calendar to see what dates are open for your length of stay?
Thank you! I didn’t even see that option when I was searching yesterday. A couple of
The days I’m looking for aren’t available but I’ll keep checking back. It’s a long way to go I’m looking for around Easter. Also a busy time so they could definitely be booked up, it just seems so far out to be fully booked.

Hey, I have a question regarding holding luggage. My son and I will be staying at the Dolphin next month and we will be getting in early and when we leave, we leave late. Will they hold our luggage so we can head to the parks?

Yes they will.

Just replying to my own questions... so with a Platinum Elite member we get 2 of the continental breakfast at Garden Grove each day or we can use it for items at Fuel at Dolphin or the little place here at the Swan. They said you pick a pastry, fruit, and drink option, although they also said you could order something else and they would use the voucher as $20 off (for example mickey waffles etc). I'm not exactly sure how the continental breakfast works at Garden Grove as online it just shows a la carte items.

We arrived today and so far things have been really nice, although for us the pool leaves a lot. to be desired. It's perfectly fine other then not enough seatimg and very limited shaded seating (we've only been to the main shared one so far,) but we're just used to Disney ones and this is just different.

The hotel itself has been great though. I checked in with the app with some requests and they were all met and our room was ready when we arrived arpund noon. The employees so far have been great, much what you would expect from Disney employees although obviously they are not.

Looking forward to the rest of our stay...if you have any specific questions I'm happy to try to find answers.

Well that's great, brockash, that you were able to find out the benefits. They sound good.

Sorry the pool was that crowded with limited seating. Was that the big Grotto pool?

And good to hear all your requests were taken care of along with the good experiences with the employees. I really enjoy the bell staff . there.

Hoping you continue to enjoy your stay. :beach:

Yes, the grotto pool. We may try the Swan pool tomorrow, although my kids like a good slide lol. I will say I believe both Swan and Dolphin are pretty much fully booked (not sure about reserve) as I had been playing around with our reservations and Dolphin went sold out about a month and a half ago (pretty sure there's a conference going on) and then Swan went sold out for our dates a few weeks ago. I will definitely say the entire staff so far that we've encountered have been awesome (honestly better than a cpl. of Disney CMs we've run into today), so I'm very impressed with their customer service so far.

Don't know if you're aware but you can go behind the waterfall.

There are usually a few chairs but you can take some back there if not.

It's shady, the temp seems a Hsu cooler due to the spray from the waterfall and there are restrooms back there

Check it out!

The Swan pool, like the Dolphin pool, are pretty much just lap pools. Nice to relax or get a bite to eat (I prefer the Dolphin Cabana for eats) but I'm sure the kids would prefer the big pool with the slide.

@brockash Can you please tell me what toiletries there are at the Swan? I am trying to figure out if I need to pack body wash or conditioner. Thank you! That is great news about the water. Hope you are having a magical time!

They have little bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion, but they're very small (the one-time uses) for most (shampoo/conditioner). I would still pack some of your own. If I can figure out how to, I can try to post a pic later.

You can request additional toiletries. It's easy to do in the app. I still bring my own, but thought I'd mention it for anyone who might need more.

I'm curious about the waterfall, too. When we were there in April, it was not working. We arrive on Saturday and am hopeful it's operational. We liked spending time at the Dolphin pool -- easy access to the pool bar. We don't have little kids though.

Oh, yes meant to mention that. We did. I wasn't expecting it because I read on here that it had changed, but when we came in there were 2 in the fridge and 2 on the nightstand which was a nice bonus
Please let us know if they provide water each day of your stay. Did you request daily housekeeping and how is it? Thanks!

For those of you who stayed at the Swan/Dolphin and rope dropped (or tried to rope drop) Magic Kingdom: What was your experience like? I'm curious about your timing (while understanding that the season/crowds impact this), preferred transportation, etc.

We did request daily housekeeping...unfortunately my teen is still currently sleeping after the travel day, so it'll be a cpl days until I can report back. I'll see if we get water each day as well.

We're planning on using YC or BW for bus transportation at rope drop.

I noticed on my November reservation it went from “complimentary water” to “water for a fee”. I am just Gold Elite but any other Marriott I have been getting free daily water. Guess an Instacart might be in order.
