Everything I've read/heard etiquette-wise is that favors are not required or expected. If you DO end up giving something--make sure it is edible or useful! You don't want people to just throw away something you put a lot of thought/money into!!

ergh...I KNOW I've seen a list of the best and worst favors to give...but of course I am unable to locate it when I want to.
