I get that, and I agree that some of the concerns people have make no sense to me, however I will not declare that the folks whose posts their fears are based on are lying. I will say, as I have always said about any controversial policy, I will make my mind up based on what DOES happen, not on what MAY occur.
The thing that I firmly believe in terms of respecting what people feel is that their concerns are valid to them. For example, we are booked at the BC in December, however if I need to change resorts for FD I plan to do so. The savings for my family is substantial. A CM suggested I may need to consider the YC. I cannot. It is a dog friendly resort, and despite the fact that there are not really any reports that the dogs, if there are even any there, have been a disturbance, my DD cannot stay there. Period. My family respects her fear, and we will make an adjustment. We will not ridicule her, or in any way try to disparage her concern. It is real. Our compromise is that we probably will not be able to stay at an Epcot resort, but it is what it is. For those whose fears are based on anecdotes that may or may not be true about the entry policy, it matters not what you or I think. Their concerns are real and until they manage to find a way to allay them, they will be worried. For my family, we will not stay in a dog friendly resort. We will stay elsewhere. For folks who need to stay outside of WDW even before they have personal experience, so be it.
