Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Excited! Booked RPC Theme Park View for arrival night of my upcoming stay. One night only, but as it will be my first RPC stay, I'm still super excited. I'm planning to fly in, get to the GF and then hang out at the Club. My RPC CM daughter has requested the time off, but if she has to work, I plan to be her favorite guest of all time. LOL! After that first night, we'll be moving over to my usual GF Resort View, which I've always really enjoyed and expect I still will, even after being spoiled with 1 night CL.
Oh, I’m so jealous!! I have been trying and trying to add an RPC day onto one end or the other of my upcoming stay, and no dice! It would require me changing rooms (twice), but I’d be down for that! Cannot wait for your report.

I just read on GF thread from UK they are booking the dates we need so I looked and yep you can if you call and pay rack rate. Hopefully they release dates HERE soon..

Even some poly suites showed availability. Very frustrating!

I'm sure you know this, but you have access to the lounge all day of your checkout day. So you should really get 2 nights at the lounge.

We only come about 3 time a year. Arrived about 3 yesterday and got my usual room, right across from the lounge overlooking the BW. Got warm hugs from Lene and felt right at home. Love the remodel, so light, bright and airy. Lorenzo and Joe greeted us this morning. We have known Lorenzo for over 22 years now and just love him.
I’m so happy Lorenzo is there. I hope he will be there when we arrive. The girls love him and it always shocked him how much they grew each year.

Lorenzo has seen my grandchildren grow up from babies to now 2 college students, 1 high schooler, 2 middle schoolers and a 4th grader! I tease him telling him the older ones knew him before he had gray hair!

I think he always had gray hair when we were around! Especially when the Elves on the Shelf had to visit our room. I think he got in trouble with Mousekeeping for making a mess in our room.

Looking for a little advice on our BWI CL check in. We’re moving over to BWI from one night at Kidani and my parents are unaware that we are staying CL. They think we are just in a standard room but it’s their 45th anniversary trip so I decided to surprise them with a Deluxe CL room. I did let DSS know it was a surprise for my parents when they called but don’t expect anything from their end. I am just wondering what the best way to reveal the surprise might be. We’re having a late breakfast at Boma before we leave AKL and may stop at DHS before heading to Boardwalk so we’ll arrive sometime between 1:30 and 3:00 probably.

Do they typically still greet you in the lobby at BWI and bring you up to the CL floor or will be bands automatically work in the elevator?

When we were there last month they did not greet us in the lobby. There are other non-CL rooms on the floor, so you can get there from the elevator. The CL rooms are way to the right. There’s a desk with a CM in front of the locked door that you can check in with.

There hasn’t been specific club level greeters in the lobby of any resort we’ve stayed in for years. We stayed at BWI CL in July. We had only stayed there once before several years ago in a cottage suite, so weren’t familiar with where our deluxe room or lounge would be. We did online check in & had received a room number. The lobby was quiet, no line for check in, so I stopped at the desk to ask about locations & an escort to the lounge. We’ve had escorts offered to CL at YC, CR & GF in the last 2 years. Nope, the CM circled our room location & the lounge on a resort map & said just take the elevators. I asked again about the escort & was again just told to take the elevators.

If you didn’t know, deluxe rooms can be on the 3rd or 4th floor. The lounge is on the 4th floor. Our room was on the 3rd floor. There were stairs just across from our room that took us to the CL CM desk & door to the restricted CL area. If you get a room number, you could go surprise them with the room first. When they remark on the room, thats when you could tell them it’s a CL room & head to the lounge. At BWI, you don’t need bands to operate the elevators. You do need them to access the CL access doors. The lobby CM insisted our bands would work fine since we had done online check in. But the actual CL CM at the desk before those doors did check & reset our bands, then took us into the lounge & showed us around.

I may call and ask…I’m paying rack rate those nights because it’s a weekend… I saw multiple pop up for this coming weekend v briefly, and just checked again to see they’ve all disappeared.

When are you going? Five days before your arrival you will receive a call from a cast member from the Innkeepers Club. They will ask you if you have any special requests. You can ask the cast member at this time if they know if you are on the third or fourth floor, they won’t tell you the room. You can also mention your parents’ anniversary to them mentioning it is your first stay at the resort. if by chance Joe calls you, ask if he can put some balloons and card in the room for you!

A CL Cast Member met us in the lobby at Wilderness Lodge both times we stayed there in the last 18 months. They asked for our anticipated arrival time when they called us before our arrival. Only CL that’s done it for us…
We stayed CL at WL earlier this year. No one met us in the lobby. The front desk called up to CL, and we had to wait in the lobby about 15 minutes until a CM came down to meet us. Good thing we didn’t head on up since our bands didn’t work to open the door to get into the club area. Of course, several times that trips we had to stand at the door and wave across to the club desk to get someone to come let us in. I think our bands worked on the club door about 20% of the time even though they worked fine on our room door.

Checked in to the Boardwalk and was delighted to meet BillyOcean as he was rushing out to get ready for his shows at Epcot! He was such a nice man and shook both mine and my husband’s hands. He asked if we were going to the shows and we explained we were just getting there and had no plans to go to a park. Love staying club level, never know who you will run into!
Well, didn’t know it at the time, but I got to run into you today Kerry! I was one of the ladies enjoying a glass of wine and talking with Lorenzo when you popped over to praise him. You were just as kind as you are here. I feel like I brushed with dis royalty!

Enjoy your week!

Oh, I wish you would have mentioned you were here! It was lovely to “meet” you! Lorenzo is just the best and my family adores him!

As a Disney stockholder I would like to thank all of you who continue to book CL (despite occasional grousing about food or service). Please book more and longer trips :) Please!

As a Disney lover who looks forward to my solo trips each winter, I just can't justify the cost of CL -- even with a birthday ending in zero for 2024 -- so I'll continue my faithful reading of this thread and enjoy your trips along side of you.

Thank you all for posting.
