Famous people at WDW

We saw Joey Fatone leaving the Beach Club. This was before he was on Dancing with the Stars. I knew he was one of the guys from NSync but didn't know his name at the time. I had to ask one of my teenage nieces. I wouldn't have know him if someone hadn't stopped to ask for an autograph. Then we followed him through the World Show Case International gates. Now he is an even bigger star with that singing bee show (don't know the name) he is on. He is also now in a Disney promotional ad on Travel Disney on IO cable.

Once when I was a kid (I'm guessing around 12) Shirley Jones, from the Partridge Family was at MK. It looked like they were doing some special. We just happened to see her as we were walking down Main Street.

About 7 or 8 years ago when my girlfriend and I were still single and going to WDW 2-3 times a year and were annual pass holders (ahh..those were the days! LOL :rolleyes1 :yay: :woohoo: ) we were getting our seating assignments for our flight from Newark to Orlando and were excited to find out we would be sitting in the emergency exit row..woo hoo..more leg room! Only to find 2 seconds later we couldn't sit there because a seat had been taken in the row. When we were boarding, we passed that row and saw this very large man sitting there and jokingly commented about "oh, there's the creep that took our seats". Not knowing who he was. When we landed and were in the terminal going to get our rental car, there was a swarm of people around the guy who took our seats and then we noticed that it was Carl Banks from the NY Giants. He is a HUGE guy and understood why he got an exit row with lots of leg room;) ..we laughed and were like, ok, he was allowed to have our seats then!

This wouldn't happen to be around 1988, would it?

I was working at The Chapeau on Main Street and Shirley Jones came in and looked around during the 3 o'clock parade. She was really nice :goodvibes She was wearing a big sun hat and giant glasses. I never would have recognized her in passing but I got to speak to her and her friend for a few minutes. I never let on that I knew who she was but I was totally psyched :thumbsup2

Im thinking around 1993 I saw Micheal J Fox at MGM studios putting his handprints in the cement and signing his name. He rode in on a red corvette with Minnie Mouse escorting him

I haven't seen any celebrities at WDW for years, but back in 1997, I met Joe Namath at MGM and Jim Nabor (Gomer Pyle) at Beaches & Cream.

Both were really cool, and they seemed tickled pink that a 18 year old kid knew who they were! :happytv:

At DHS, Tommy Hilfiger
At Epcot, Mandy Moore, Jermaine Dupris, Kobe Bryant
At MK, Marilyn Manson, Joey Fatone

I love Joey Fatone! Man... I would pay good money to see Marilyn Manson on some of the rides at Disney. Can you picture him on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh?

We saw Nitro from the original American Gladiators around 1992. At the time I thought he was so hot.

I stood next to Caeser Romero in France at Epcot in the early nineties. My aunt chased Donnie Osmond through MGM where he was shooting a video on the same trip...so embarassing for a teenager:lmao: Also, I just saw Eric Benet (Halle Berry's ex husband) at a hotel I was staying at in St. Louis..I know that's not Disney, but anyway...he was very short, smelled nice and is clearly not smart...hey he cheated on Halle Berry!

This type of thread is usually found on the theme parks community board, so I'm going to go ahead and move it there.

We went during ESPN the weekend in March of '05 and saw a bunch of famous athletes which had us running through the parks like mad trying to find more famous people (we could spot them because they had the special guest Disney tour guides with the plaid vests with them)! My father, who normally does not get into these things was on full alert when suddenly he screamed "Regis girl is here!" I immediately knew he meant Kelly Ripa, and we ran like the paparazzi to grab a picture of her, her husband, and her kids! :rotfl: It was quite funny to see my normally "tough" Italian father act so star-stuck.

We dined at Narcoossees for our Anniversary last week and Michael from Extreme Home Makeover sat across from us!
It was VERY hard not to ask for a picture...we didn't want to interrupt his dinner! :lmao:

Mr. Sarah Palin and a couple of the kids where in the MK on sat, we saw them walking through Toon Town.

Yeah-the local TV stations around here were "sure" to mention that the kids went to Disney World while she was down here to give her speech at The Villages.

In Feb we saw Carter Ostenhouse (from HGTV), Aaron McCargo Jr (Food TV) and Duff (old MTV VJ) in front of the castle taping something. It was really neat, we got some pictures and watched for a while. Too bad we didn't know Joe Jonas and Demi Lavato (whatever) were in Epcot that day, but good thing we missed them or our kids would have disowned us (we were traveling without them).
