Hi everyone!
I've read every.single.post in this thread - I was originally going to read a few pages at the front, and then read about the last 30 or so back here... but I loved seeing all of the great information about AKL, and so, I just kept going!
One of the things that sealed the deal on us staying at AKL this trip was actually *this* group of folks right here! Whenever you see this much love and loyalty for a Resort, you know it's going to be amazing - and since we already lovelovelove WL, we think we are going to feel right at home at AKL!
We have just booked for April, and now it's time for me to ask you all a couple of questions.
First of all, we are driving this trip - typically we come down 429 to Western Way, and navigate through the World from there, but for AKL would it be quicker/easier to take the 192/Irlo Bronson exit? (Also question for another day, who *is* Irlo Bronson, and why does Irlo Bronson have a memorial parkway of their very own?)
Subquestion #1, has anyone eaten at the Chuy's that is just off the access road for 192? Since we have our car on this trip, I may need a TexMex "booster" before we get out of Florida LOL.
Secondly, I have to use a personal mobility device to get around, because my legs no longer work as advertised, so I know from previous experience at WL, Poly, etc. that they will valet my car with the handicapped hang tag, no problem - but before I send it away to Valet, which side of the front doors of Jambo house is closest to Bell Services, and is there dedicated Bell Services parking? At some Resorts, we just pull up and let them take everything out of the back but Angus (my ECV is named after Princess Merida's horse, because, just like her faithful companion, it always gets me home safely from my adventures!) so that we can go on and have fun, and let Bell Services deliver everything to the room.
Finally, have any adults here actually slept on the "daybed" in a King room? I'm concerned; our adult daughter and I are doing another one of our famous "girls only" trips, and she is determined to sleep on the daybed, but I am concerned that she will be uncomfortable.
All of my other questions/concerns have been answered by other folks in the previous 130 pages! Thanks in advance for any information you all can provide!
