I thought it would be fun to have a thread of funny comments and conversations overheard while having fun at Disney World and the various Disneylands. I'll start.

On the bus -

Mother: Please sit still. I left my patience in the Magic Kingdom.
Son (mournfully): So did I.

We were just there last week. My dd is 3.5. She's very into the characters. We were curious if she would question why they didn't talk. She did, but not how I expected. She kept saying they "lost their talking." People were cracking up.

My son sadly on the magical express back to the airport said "you can just leave me here, they will look after me I've got a card(room key)"

Last week at the BW standing in line for the boat to Epcot, a woman got behind us and asked, "How do you know where this boat goes?" Uhh--the big sign at the start of the queue? I empathize, though--sometimes your stress level is so high you miss the most obvious things. And yes--she was in the wrong line!

Over spring break at HS about 1pm...Husband to wife - I'm going to go get a fast pass for Toy Story Mania (they had been gone at 10:30 that day)

Getting on the bus at the resort - wife to husband - I think this goes to MK don't they all??- We told them it was going to Epcot...

Here's another one from me. This time from my niece. We were on the Disney Wonder in December and our server, Richard, brought a plate of Mickey-head ketchup for her. She told us it was Minnie without her bow. :lmao: (I added the bow for her.)

Wow! There have been some good ones over the years. A few of my family's favorites are:
In August during free dining, a group on our bus who had never been to Disney talked about how they were going to several character meals and LeCellier to eat, but they wouldn't need reservations and would just walk right in.
One lady in EPCOT about 8:30 pm was on the phone with her husband yelling, "I'm right under the sign. Stop being an a**hole!"
Another lady, same night, went into the ladies room leaving her husband and children waiting outside. When she came out, the husband says, "What'd you do take a break?"
Those last 2 made my son, who is very sarcastic, comment, "Happiest place on earth my butt." Four years later and we still laugh about it.

A 4 year old friend to Cinderella:

"I live in Baltimore...do you ever come there?"

Funny! Did you happen to catch Cinderella's response, by any chance?
This reminded me of something that I didn't overhear, but read here a while ago: apparently a kid who had been to Tokyo Disney before going to WDW said to Cinderella that she thought her castle was in Japan, to which Cinderella responded with something along the lines of "that's my vacation home."

I was on the monorail platform at MK one time. An older couple was arguing with the cm that the last time they were there the monorail went to All Star!

If I remember correctly, she said something about staying close to the prince, mice, fairy godmother, etc. I don't think my little friend was interesting in all of them coming to visit, so she let it go with that! It was priceless.

I've heard many funny thing over the years, but one really sticks out. The first time I ever took my DH (then BF) to WDW was just for a day trip. We were riding the monorail from MK over to Epcot when we overheard a women probably in her late 20's say to her BF/DH, in complete seriousness, "Disney really is amazing. They've thought of everything here. It's like it is their own wold." Umm, yup, that's why they named it Disney WORLD!
My DH and I just looked at each other and still 6 years later we still talk about it, even if we're at home.

Not so funny - more sad to me than anything. And probably more common than most would think.

Two couples and their collective group of about six kids at Epcot - well dressed and well spoken people. After polling the children and finding out that they wanted to go to MK for fireworks rather than Illuminations, they spent 10 minutes discussing how the adults would survive the ordeal.

They concluded their planning and instructed the kids to finish up their bottled water so they could pack along two 20 ounce bottles of cranberry juice and two 20 ounce bottles of vodka.

DS9 said on our last trip. "I'm sure glad Walt left Disney World to Mickey. He knew Mickey would take good care of it"... just made me smile:)

Not a park but on DCL. My DH and I were returning to the port after doing an excursion on our own. We were on a large open air taxi that held many people, and behind us were a couple and their around 8 - 10 year old son. When we approached the port you would see the Disney Magic and a RCCL ship docked in port. The couple's son started saying "Mom I wanna go on the Mickey boat". It went on and on with all his reasons why he wanted to go on the Mickey boat until they finally said we can't go on the Mickey boat, they don't have casinos on the Mickey boat.

For the rest of the trip we had "but mommmmmm, I wanna go on the Mickey boat!" stuck in our head.

Not at Disney, but related:

Overhead in a line at our local amusement park last week, "Don't you wish they had those front of the line passes here like they have at Disneyland?" Friend: "Yeah dude! Those things cost like 80 bucks but they're totally worth it!" My son and I smiled at each other but kept our mouths shut!

Well, technically you do have to buy a park ticket at around that price to get them... :rotfl:
