Happy Haunted Birthday - August 1969

Forty-eight years young now. Preview openings August 9th and 10th 1969 with an opening to the public August 12th. The Mansion is unique in that it sat there, its exterior completed for years before the attraction opened as ride. Imagine seeing this huge house, with its columns and decorative iron work just standing there, your imagination spinning with what “might be” for years! No scrims or fences to hide it, it just tempting your wildest dreams with what it would become.

Truly one of most loved attractions at Disneyland, it is a must ride every visit. Classic and wonderful, its exterior haunting in that it is perfectly clean and manicured, hiding what awaits inside. Perfect Disney!
