Sounds like less people per BG and more BGs...
Anywhere from 20 min to an hour depending on how it's operatingIt’s 7pm. Wife is in line. I’m hanging with lil ones...anyone got a good idea of the wait time right now once entering the line?
Yeah they usually have CM previews for all new attractions
Actually by not having CM experience the attraction they are not putting guests first.
The 4 keys of Disney are Safety , Courtesy, Show and Efficiency
By not giving the CM a preview they can't meet any of these (unless you are a RotR CM which they have gone on it)
For example, guest approaches random CM at DHS to ask if the ride would give them motion sickness...CM can't answer. Hence lack for safety, courtesy, efficiency
Guest asks CM what type of experience is it? again, lack of keys in place.
and like these many more examples
There are plenty of CMs to answer questions and be accurate. Safety , Courtesy, Show and Efficiency occur without every CM riding a ride. Guests pay money, if 100 cast members went opening day and 100 regular guests didn't get in that would be 100 extra fp+ and tickets to give away. Its very nice to see them think of the guests, especially with the blackout dates.

The 111 BG was at ~8:15aAround what time were BG's in the 100's given out?
What would that mean for the ride total? For example, 90 100-person BGs would be 9k guests, but 120 50-person BGs would only be 6k. And what would operating the ride at a lower capacity do to help alleviate things, other than fewer people to evacuate when the ride breaks?Sounds like less people per BG and more BGs...
Just off the ride! Completely unexpected opportunity. An hour ago, we were sitting in our OKW villa. We decided to come over to HS just in case more groups opened. We went straight to SWGE and walked past ROTR. We were going to ride MFSR, but my husband just stopped and said maybe we should ask someone if more groups were opening. I figured it couldn’t hurt, so off he went.
I waited for him at least five minutes and wondered where he was. And then he ran up to me and said to hurry - we were getting to ride! When he asked an amazing CM about the likelihood of more groups opening, she asked him how many were in our party. When he told her two, she told him to come get me and hurry back to her. Two minutes later, she was escorting us into the queue!
Best pixie dust we’ve received in a long time! And the ride was even better the second time. We saw so much more than when we rode it for the first time yesterday morning.
Now we’re in line to ride MFSR. And then we’re heading to DAH at MK. But our night has already been made. Now to Twitter to tweet a cast compliment!
And that folks is one of the many reasons that Disney cm's are awsome!!! Good for the 2 of you. Enjoy the rest of your magical night!Just off the ride! Completely unexpected opportunity. Less people per hour if its less per BG. Having not been on it yet until next week...from what I can see people do some walking within the ride, so that can very hourly capacity (how fast people move or kids start having issues, etc)... It allows an evac to be less people if there is an issue. Since once they release a BG not everyone is going to show up on the spot, so having less people means less trickle within the two hour window as they progress the BG numbers up. Plus once the BGs are called and the line fills, the more people in a BG the bigger the line is outside the ride to get in. Also since they know their ride capacity, this could allow them to actually finish all BGs before park closing, fit in some standbys towards the park closing and not have angry people that showed up before park closing only to get a FP or Park Hopper. What would that mean for the ride total? I know we don't have any idea of capacity or of ride totals, or even of BG sizes. I've heard the ride is operating at severely reduced capacity since it opened.
I doubt it will slow down the 2nd week of January as that is Marathon week. I hope you are right though as I will be thereI think it is going to be really interesting to see how long the pattern of people lining up at 5 am and the park opening at 6:30 am lasts. I definitely think at this rate, it will last through the new year. It may not slow down till 2nd week of January. Thoughts?
I didn't realize CMs ever got locked out period, that stinks, and feels wrong.
