So for the first SE Qld DIS meet we had a great turn out. There was areweindisneyyet and her DD's (who very kindly organised the wonderful event), Aussie Wendy, hjd0411 and Franrose with DH and her DD's and myself.

It was a really great lunch and it was awesome meeting everyone. There was one person who was very late, which was rather rude, but there you have it.

We had lunch here...

Being 39 degrees outside, it was nice being inside in the aircon. We all parked our vehicles outside in the car park...

Not a bad view to sit and enjoy as we chat, laugh, get to know each other and eat a yummy lunch.

I didn't get photos of everyones meals but here are some.

Garlic Bread

I had Prawns and Avocado.

areweindisneyyet had yummy ravioli (wish I'd ordered that)

Franrose had this. Can't remember what it was, it was fish of some description. What was it Franrose?

Both Aussie Wendy and hjd0411 had fish. One was barramundi and the other (Aussie Wendy, can't remember yours, was it snapper?)

There were some other yummy meals, crumbed fish and chips that looked SOOOO good and spaghetti carbonara that also looked yummy.

We then had some...

Aussie Wendy really enjoyed the turkish delight that came on the side. I believe it was delicious. I didn't find out what that blue egg thing was on our coffees. Does anyone know what that was?

No photos of just us. Many of us, including myself are a little camera shy on a public forum. But I will say that we all looked fabulous!

All of those photos were just taken with my iPhone, so are not great. But hjd0411 did have an awesome, amazing looking camera, so she may have some photos to add.

Anyway it was an awesome lunch. I for one really enjoyed it. Sorry everyone for being so late! (yes I was the rude one who was extremely late ) It was lovely getting to meet all of you, felt like we had known each other for ages. Looking forward to the next one!

Well we could watch our vehicles right outside to make sure nobody took them. I think we all tried to claim the large boat in the corner of one of the photos

Yep, the memory isn't too good, I did remember it was fish though, does that count? I know it wasn't steak.

Those blue egg things... darned if I know what they were but they were yum! And the turkish delight too, so soft and nommy

My fish was barramundi with an avocado/garlic/cream (I had to look that up lol. My skirt enjoyed it too btw). It was very good... but I was eyeing up that ravioli, and carbonara, and garlic bread to ha ha!!

Loved meeting you guys and chatting & lunching and picking your brains, lol! Oh the books of travel tips that could be sold from our collective heads. (There ya go, have I sparked an idea in anyone?)

It was so good to meet everyone! It makes it easier to know who is here! My couple of photos to add to the mix will have to wait until I log on on my laptop!! Silly iPhone - don't know how to add photos from here!
I had barramundi which was lovely. I think those blue "eggs" might have been sugared almonds??? (Not sure as I didn't eat mine, but it was a Greek restaurant after all..!!!

Heather got the gold star for being the only one on time. Since piggy me cleaned up half the group's Turkish Delight (they all must be watching their figures??) and the blue things, I can say yes they were (very nice) sugared almonds. Thought the TD was an unusual touch to add with coffee (it's not a Greek tradition is it?). Very nice lunch and very nice company - thanks guys, it was great meeting you all.

Loved the trip report Aussietravellers. Felt like I was right there.

The ravioli was lovely I must say and I two left the almonds and Turkish delight. I was very envious of Aussie Wendy's drink. It looked very cool and refreshing but had a bit too big of a drive for one of those. These hot days are a little crazy. Perhaps a Christmas in July will work better next time.

HJD so sorry for leaving you alone and being a tad late myself. AussieWendy it was great to meet you oth. Franrose your girls are so well behaved and i am so envious of your upcoming trip. Aussietravellers I promise you were oly 5 mins behind me. I loved hearing about the spontaneity of your trips. I so hope to pull off a trip like that. Thanks for the laughs, it's so nice spending time with people that understand the Disney thing.

It was lovely sharing travel tales, tips and dreams. Thank you for making the effort to come along. And thank you Mr Franrose for the ice cream run with the girls. It really let us get some girl talk in.

Wendy - glad you enjoyed the Turkish Delight - I'm not a fan myself! Now if they'd left a chocolate on the plate you wouldn't have had a look in...!!!!
