I'm sure it turns into a raft as soon as it hits the water
It is, after all, a gondola. There's an Italian guy in a striped shirt who jumps on top to pole you to shore.

In the event of a water landing, your refillable resort mug can be used as a flotation device.
OMG this thread just turned into something greater! I almost peed laughing some of these comments.
Well, I will agree it is working but after the months of all the hype - "the music, the lights, the water, the colors, the floats, the dancers, the story teller," (remember the video with Joe Rohde - we all sat and watched attentively, sure they would announce the long awaited opening date - they didn't - but the original vision was going to be something to behold!) - alas, now it's a mere shadow of what it was to be and could have been.We needed something to replace the sting of ROL actually working !!!

The first time I saw it, it was absolutely stunning.... then, they changed it, shortened it, canned the storyteller and the dancers. It's still worth seeing, but I wouldn't go unless I had extra time.
At an upcharge of $10
We saw both abominations... Err.... Incarnations, and that was enough - Maggie doing the can-can would be better
Thankful the poles to row yourself are included with an on-site stay.
For now. You know people will start trying to park at the resorts when they’re just looking for free poles, and then Disney will start charging!
Highly unlikely that they’ll take walk ups. It will be extremely popular and require 180 day ADR at least initially. So maybe I have missed it with all the mirth, but I will be there in April. Would this restaurant be like any restaurant that just takes walk up seating, or can you get a reservation at the beginning of the day?

Hopefully the hype dies down a little bit before our November visit, but I highly doubt it! I am anxiously awaiting our ADR reservation date to snag this first thing!Highly unlikely that they’ll take walk ups. It will be extremely popular and require 180 day ADR at least initially.

And TangPretty sure its just Astronaut Ice Cream and other freeze-dried foods because that's all there is to eat in space.
Its that realistic experience they are going for like in star wars land.

And you don't even want to know what the restrooms are like...
