I don’t think it will ever be DVC, but I do think that members will be able to use points to book this experience just like they can use points for cruises or Adventures. I don’t think it will be worth the point conversion though (similar to how cruises aren’t really worth the point conversion most of the time).
 
Retractable light saber? Would we be able to purchase them, maybe in a special ceremony at Savi's workshop? My kids would lose their minds over those. o_O They really are going to be able to charge however much they want for this hotel experience. I wonder when in 2022 they have in mind? Seems unlikely they'll be able to open at the beginning of the year given how enclosed the hotel is.

In all seriousness, I hope the Batuu excursion is after regular park hours, so that Halcyon guests can have exclusive access to Oga's, ROTR and MFSR, and Savi's, along with the other shops. Even if the "excursion" is just 2 hours, it would be worth the price of admission to experience GE without the crowds. Double points if the experience includes clothing for guests like the ones the GE CMs wear to maintain the sense of immersion. Guests could choose their sizes and affiliation (resistance, first order) before arrival, and they can be washed between guests the way that hotel bathrobes are.

From the very beginning, this was the implication. The entire point (and one reason for the $$$$$) was the complete immersion of the experience. The initial press release even mentioned costumes and your ability to choose the level of interacting you wanted. You could choose not to participate or opt for the full storyline experience, including your character, affiliation and to some degree, a specific storyline (add-ons). CMs would know all the details, including the results of previous interactions, via something similar to a MB.

The excursion to Batuu, would necessarily need to be before or after (I'm thing after, as it'd be much cooler looking) normal park hours. Having Starcruiser guests encounter those silly Earth tourists, would completely break the immersion.

anyone want to speculate on the cost of these two nights for a couple? Family of 4? I'm thinking $3000 for a couple, $5000 for family of four. think i'm close?

This was the speculation on pricing in 2019:

Cabin for one? Pricing for a 2-night/3-day stay starts at $3,300 for one person, or just over $1,000 per person, per day. A cabin with five passengers would cost $7,200!
 
Those actor jobs sound really interesting! I found it especially interesting that they were looking for a Rey and Kylo who had some martial arts skills...going to be staging actual fights, maybe?

That could be an awfully late trip for non-adult guests. I'll settle for boarding passes/ reservations included with the room.

The in bed by 8 crowd is "not the demographic they're looking for". Regardless of when DHS actually closes, they can always close Batuu earlier, say 7, and have it cleared and the stage set by 8 for the excursion. A two hour visit for 200 guests would be sufficient.
