And in just 100 days we will be returning! Tomorrow I will begin the much anticipated Double Digit Dance

Who - Me, Shari (cough...40) Hubbie Simon (38 - will be 39 so he's catching me up ok?), Sarah (16) and Kate (will be 14).

When - August 10th - 27th 2010

Where - OKW - staying in a 1 bedroom villa - a whole bedroom just for me and Simon :lovestruc Really looking forward to staying here. We've previously stayed at the Beach Club (with parents in law) and last time at CBR which we really enjoyed.

We are lucky enough to have the free dining (which hopefully still includes the dessert :rolleyes1) and we have already made our ADRs - oh yes. Much food will be consumed.

More details and pics to follow!:thumbsup2

Good morning!:) We are doing the Double Digit Dance today!:cool1:

This is the plan for our holiday so far - carefully thought out and planned!

Tuesday 10th August - Get up obscenely early and get taxi to Manchester airport. Arrive in Orlando (after watching several movies, eating aeroplane food and not being able to sleep). Check in at OKW :wizard:

Food: Olivia's Restaurant.

Possibly have a trip to Downtown Disney before crashing out!

Wednesday 11th August - Hit the Magic Kingdom!

Food: Leave MK and travel to the Poly for tea at Kona Cafe. Back to MK for as long as we can remain upright!

Thursday 12th August - Animal Kingdom.

Food: Lunchtime ADR at Yak n Yeti

Friday 13th - EPCOT! Well, at least for me and the girls. Simon is abandoning us to go to Star Wars Celebration V which just happens to be in Orlando this weekend. Me and the girls plan to eat and drink around the world showcase.

Food: Lunchtime ADR at Sci-Fi Dine in Theater

Sunday 15th August - A free day to recharge batteries and see what we feel like doing!

The cast in more detail - who likes what and why.

The ADRS in more detail - reasons we chose those restaurants.

More photos!

This is me:

Hmmm...not the most flattering picture in the world. My excuse was that I was in Disney and it's fine to look a little deranged there!

Before meeting Simon, I had been to DLRP a couple of times and really enjoyed it. I never thought I would get the chance to go to WDW.

In 2006 we were invited to go with Simon's parents and his niece. We had an absolutely amazing time with them, staying at the Beach Club Villas. That's when I turned from Disney fan - to full on Disney Fanatic!:woohoo:

Ooh! I like these Mickey ice cream bars:

Look how little the girls were:

I'm the one in the space suit:

The Beach Club was so beautiful:

As soon as we got back, we started to plan how we could get back there again.

We were lucky to be able to book CBR in 2008 and get the free dining - this made a big difference to our budget.

Another beautiful resort:

The four of us had the most fantastic time together. Truly magical. Well, we told ourselves it would be the last time we would get back for a while.....

2010 - The Return!

We all like different things - and the good thing about Disney is that it caters for us all.

What do I like to do at Disney? EAT!!!! :rotfl:

I am the one who trawls through the food porn (well, someone has to do it!) and gets to grips with all the restaurants that Disney has to offer.

But I'm not just about food...:rolleyes1

My favourite rides include: Test track, Dinosaur, Star Tours, Kali River Rapids, Buzz Lightyear, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, ....to name a few.

I like whizzy, scary, dark rides - but without a death defying plunge in it :sad2:

So, no EE, Rock n'Roller Coaster, Space Mountain for me. And no ToT!:scared1:

I love the fact that at Disney I can get an adrenalin shot without the feeling that I am going to die.

I love all the parks - but my heart always melts at the first sign of the castle in MK:lovestruc

If I had to name a favourite character I would have to say Stitch - or Mulan.

So - that's me!

It all sounds great so far. Looking forward to reading more. :thumbsup2

Great start, I love your restaurant choices, looking forward to more :)

And now we move onto the man of the family - Simon!:lovestruc

2008_0818Image0049.jpg

Here's a bit of background - Simon and I met in 2002 when Sarah was 8 and Kate was 5. Cupid fired his arrow ( I think it was light saber shaped:rolleyes1) and we became a family. He is quite simply - a brilliant husband and step dad. (Don't tell him I said that.)

And it was Simon who introduced us to Disney in a big way. His enthusiasm was infectious and we all caught the bug.

Simon has been to various Disney parks in his lifetime - including DLRP, Disneyland and Disneyworld - before he went with us he went with his parents - who are responsible for nurturing his Disney obsession!

What does Simon like to do? He likes rollercoasters!:scared1: And this is one area where I'm sure I disappoint him - I do not like them!

Simon loves Space Mountain, EE, BTMR, Splash Mountain and Rock n' Roller Coaster. He also loves ToT! The bigger, the faster, the better as far as he is concerned.

Luckily, he has a rollercoaster buddy:

Yep, Kate will pretty much go on whatever Simon does. This splits the party neatly into 2 for some of the time. Simon and Kate go off to do the death defying drops and Sarah and I will do the less horrifying rides (or eat cake!)

Simon still loves doing all the less scary rides with us too - except this one:

2008_0818Image0070.jpg

It's a Small World send shivers through his very soul - but we attempt to get him onto it at least once each trip - to commemorate the fact that it's his Mum's favourite ride.

Like me - Simon also loves the WDW restaurants. More of that later...

So there we have it - you will see Simon model an amazing range of Star Wars t-shirts. He loves Star Wars and is slightly excited at spending a day at Star Wars Celebration V - much merchandise purchasing will be done.

I love, love, love it!!! I am incredibly jealous, but I feel enjoying this journey with you will help me to cope! I love your posts so far, detailed without being boring. I love it xxx

This was DD16 (Sarah) at WDW in 2006:

2006_0828Image0147.jpg

Here she is in 2008:

2008_0824Image0090.jpg

She was going through a dressing back/emo kind of phase but she certainly wasn't gloomy and angst ridden! In fact - she probably was the most childlike and excitable out of all of us.

Sarah is my park buddy - when Simon and Kate leave us to ride death defying roller coasters, Sarah and I go on the fun rides, meet characters and eat cakes. It's funny - when she was a toddler she was scared of people dressed up as characters - now she can't get enough!

Favourite characters:

Sarah loves this guy:

2008_0818Image0215.jpg

She also loves Lightning McQueen, Woody, Alice and Peter Pan. And Pirates...she's all about the pirates...pirate:

Here she is all at sea at her favourite counter service restaurant:

2008_0818Image0073.jpg

What does she like to do at WDW?
Apart from eat cakes with me, Sarah likes a lot of the same rides - Buzz, Peter Pan, Star Tours...she also loves the teacups and likes to spin really fast - which makes me feel sick!

2008_0818Image0142.jpg

Sarah also likes shopping!

Here is one of my favourite pictures of Sarah from 2008 - taken at Seaworld:

Sarah has her GCSE's to get through before WDW - our trip is partly a celebration of her surviving her exams. The results come out while we are there so we are investigating how to pick them up over email!
