well Holly, I hope all goes well with the appointment and you are able to start getting some answers.

Oh, I'm sure it will be a very long time before we have any answers. The neurologist herself, the one who did all the evaluations, says he's got multiple issues and seems to be a very complex case. Poor kid. The compulsive behavior drives me nuts though. The kid has to lick everything...EVERYTHING. I'm surprised he hasn't wound up very sick with some bacterial infection. I've seen him bend over and lick the floor and he's licked kids' shoes in school. He says he just has to see what it tastes like. It's just like when he was 2-3 and HAD to shut any door that was open. HAD to or he'd freak out. Each such compulsive behavior eventually shifts to a different kind, but this current one is the worst.

Gee, I just made poor Tyler sound like a freak. I swear he has no control over it.

OH! Forgot to mention....TWO awesome days in a row at school! Well, they said he had a couple of rough spots in the morning class, but was able to pull himself out and turn things around. He's determined to try for 3 in a row today. Sad thing is that he didn't want to do any special reward yesterday. He told me he was too tired and just wanted to get home. So I pulled a chocolate Santa out of my purse and passed it to him in the back seat. That made him smile and he told me that's a great reward!

Now that I took my snowman off my signature, my weight loss ticker is back, but it's STILL THE SAME as it was 2 months ago. I DEFINITELY have to start back at the gym. I haven't been since summer.

that is definitely a strange obsession to have!! I too am surprised he hasn't gotten sick from it...maybe he'll move on to something else soon....opening/closing doors would be better!!

I know we all are getting VERY excited. I think the planning is half the fun. We are starting to get serious about what excursions we plan on doing. And I plan on making final payment sometime next week. I'm just waiting for DU to get back to me with an new total due, as I'm canceling the insurance I got when I booked with DCL. I purchased through travelguard yesterday.

I just love watching my ticker get lower and lower.

Hi All, how is everyone's hump day going? I'm taking Ray to the moseleum today in Bethlehem. The kid was doing it every Sunday and I told him that after the new year started that I would take him during the week and give the kid a break and free up his weekends. So today I'm starting. I have to leave in about an hour.

When I drop Ray off, I have to settle up his bill for this month and his expenses. I wonder if any of that is tax deductable for me? It sure is a huge expense for me every month. John will have to look into it when he does our taxes for last year. We had all the expenses of the funeral and getting the house ready for auction. I wonder if any of that is deductable? If it is I might actually get a refund this year instead of owing like I usually do.

Hi Marilyn, Mine is set to May 8th, as that's the day we fly to florida. And my vaca starts the minute I leave work on thurday afternoon. We are taking the red eye out of LA.

Yup, it's pretty disgusting. After church, his mouth was all blue from a marker he had to suck on. Gross.

I will jump in on this one though . . . I need to lose some weight too . . . two years ago, I lost about 40 pounds, felt better, and was moving in the right direction. Last year was of course the year from HE**. Not that it is an excuse, but between the stress and tension at work and the illness of my parents, I reverted to my old comfort of food as an escape, and have now gained back all but 5 lbs of the 40.

My goal is to lose as much of that 40 as I can now that the holidays are over before May 9th!

we'll probably get a late start on that Friday 5/9/08..with it being the end of month end close and being off for so long, I will have to tie a lot of things up. But yes, the minute I shut my door at work, my vacation will begin!

I am going to try and get down 35 before the cruise....I plan on running my behind off - literally!
Now that the holidays are gone, football is over (I do tons on snack appetizers during the season) I can start moving towards healthy. John is really committed to working out and has been going to the Y everyday. His arms are really looking sculpted.....I need to catch up!!

oh, and as bad food wise as I have been the past few days, I was down 3lbs this am....I joined the Biggest Loser over on WISH. I think a lot was water weight, but hey, it's in the right direction.

my mom, she made it to work ok, Amber didn't I-4 is closed for 14 miles, there is a 50 car pile up, 3 people dead and many other accidents they can't get to. They had a controlled burn which got out of hand and with the smoke from that and the fog, there was pretty much no visibility. The pictures are awful, there is a semi on fire.

Luckily I didn't have to deal w/ the traffic issue on I4 today....my exit is 1 up from US27, so I4 was a breeze for me. Left home early just in case, and got to work in record time. Prayers are going out to the families involved.

Holly - wish I could be a fly on the waiting room wall tomorrow when everyone arrives for your appt. Good luck w/ that.

My update...I weighed myself today...1st time in 1 week (started back on the wagon the 2nd) and I've lost 3 1/2 lbs! I also did 2 miles on the bike last night...got to keep that momentum going! I know I won't be able to do the bike tomorrow night as I'm scheduled for my overnight sleep study...won't be able to DIS either
