Was this just announced? So sorry Vicki, I would be bummed myself!

I want to cry! POTC is closed from June 5 - June 18. I so wanted my niece & nephew to see this. I have to make sure I let them know so that they aren't disappointed when we get there. Why are they closing such an important ride just as school gets out across the country? Normally closures wouldn't bother me but this was one of the main things I wanted to show the kids. I'm hoping I didn't talk it up too much!

Vicki I am so sorry to hear this Prayers for your cousin!

Prayers needed for my 24 year old cousin. She has some kind of cancer. My uncle doesn't know what kind. It is female related. Her younger sister died a couple of years ago from kidney failure. She had a kidney transplant and was better for many years but then had a relapse. She died when she was 19 or 20. So sad! My 24 year old cousin has a son. I sure hope she is able to fight whatever it is she has.

Well, I had my Easter dinner tonight. We had ham, homemade mashed potatoes, orange jello, and creamed corn. We vacuum sealed four 2-people servings plus have some in the fridge. We also froze the bone and we are going to make pea soup next week-end.

Load #6 is in the washer, the first 3 are put away, the 4th is folded and the 5th in the dryer. I would like to do the bath rugs as 1 last load but those are easy.

This shirt is done. The shoulders were a bit trickier than I anticipated but overall it was VERY easy. Too bad is WAY too short. I had some "help" from a cranky sales clerk at JoAnn last night. I don't think she liked me looking at the pattern pieces in the store. The pattern only gave requirements for making an entire outfit instead of just a shirt. I knew I wanted to add an inch to the shirt's legnth and she told me 3/4 yard would be more than enough. It wasn't more than 1/2" extra for making it as sized. I figured I would just make it and see how it came out. I was thinking the fabric was $7.99 but it must have been on sale because I only paid $4.?? for it. If I knew it was on sale I think I would have bought more but I don't know if I would have added more than an inch to the pattern. Looking at this on Emma I'm thinking of adding 3 or 4 inches to the next one. Anyone think I should use a contrast for the lining or back? I saw a cute racing checkers or rte 66 fabric on the boutique thread but I didn't see any at JoAnns.

The shirt is cute. I was going to suggest adding a ruffle to the bottom, but I don't think you could since the bottom becomes the back

The crush'n gusher at Typhoon Lagoon was cool because it is a water roller coaster (not a slide) like other parks. Also, the surf pool was really cool if your kids would like that. Those are the only things that really make it a difference.

I think if I was in your situation, I would do Typhoon Lagoon because it has the most unique stuff in my opinion.

Others have said they won't do blizzard beach because they are trying to get away from the "snow".

Blizzard Beach is my family's favorite. We've done both many times, but they always pick Blizzard Beach if they get to go again.

Bob and I are creating our DJ song list for the wedding. What does everyone think of this for a mother/son dance for Bob and his mom? We are going with a Beatles theme (well, except for our wedding song) and this is one we can't decide on...does it sound too "relationship-e"?

It's been a very long day. We had hoped to sand the ceiling/walls today, but the durabond was still not dry (it isn't looking hopeful for tomorrow either). We decided to switch plans completely and put down some flooring. We had to start in the hall in front of our room because we needed to connect to our flooring. Hunter's room is next to ours so out came ALL of his furniture. We managed to get the entire room floored and I have all the baseboard trim cut and painted. Tomorrow Dad will help me install the baseboards and we can reload the room. This time for good. We also painted the ceiling, but I need to do a bit of touch up where my Dad painted. He seemed to miss some big spots. So we started at 9 AM and I finally put my paintbrush down at 11:30 PM. We really accomplished a lot and I feel good about that. We also got haircuts, well actually I got a perm. I'm trying to grow it out a bit so I needed the perm to get me through the ackward phase.

Now I'm going to sleep.
