What wouldn't you do again?

This is such a dangerous thread - I hope nobody reading it will cross anything off their list because of what they read here.

You should try everything!! (Alright, maybe not the rollercoasters if you get motion sickness ;) ). But make up your own minds everyone!!

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I totally agree. I had the same thought just now.

HOWEVER, I have never done the Stitch ride, and am pretty sure that I won't try it. Is there anyone out there who DOES like the Stitch ride?

I really didn't care for the Drew Carey's Sounds Dangerous thing. I also didn't like Stitch- but the kids got a kick out of it. The kids love the Figment ride- which I can't stand- especially the part where the gross smell thing comes out. Sick!

But....... without trying everything and anything, I wouldn't have known that I didn't like them.... I agree with the last few posts- try them all and then weed out your not-so-favorites for the next trip!

"Sounds Dangerous" with Drew Carey @ the Hollywood Studios. "Stitch" in Tomorrowland, MK. Also, the "Astro Orbiter" in Tomorrowland (90 seconds of pure disappointment on the actual ride......yes, you read that right, 90 seconds, but waiting for 45 minutes in line....blech!)

You know? I don't care for Stitch. Now I have it on good authority to avoid that one when we go! :)

Since I may only have this one shot to go to those parks, I'm only hitting the things that are different than at DL (unless we end up with lots of time to do other stuff) and the stuff that is most attractive to me at the other parks. While normally I would agree that one should try everything, I don't think I'll be able to. So, if there is something that I'm not sure about AND it gets a bad review here, I won't bother with it.

Except for the Narnia thing. If it's still there, we'll do it. We LOVE Narnia and would love to walk through the wardrobe in Spare Oom. :)

I will never stand on the line for Test Track again. At least not the regular line. Now that they have that single rider line ... wow. I understand riding with your group, but I was about to get back on the ride for the 3rd time when my dad and younger brother JUST finished riding it once. I rode that soooo many times on that line ... plus, it's fun to see the reactions of the different people who ride with you.

Also, I was kind of bored at MGM...to me it was a whole lot of nothng. Let me tell you I'm a big MGM old movie fan and I just expected to see something that wowed me. It just seemed flat. I mean I'm glad we did it, we saw it and I got my picture by the singing in the rain umbrella but overall I was very disappointed.

I think everyone should try Cinderella's castle at least once...we went once, it was pretty, we enjoyed the characters but we won't go back.

And I'm glad someone mentioned that Tarzan show...it was hot, boring and it seemed to go on forever. We hated it.

Eat at Garden Grill
Do HOP, Tea Cups, It's tough to be a Bug and Dinosaur.
Do HDDR.
Not rent a car
Fantasmic package in the off season
CRT unless I have another child

Unfortunately for me, my DS8 loves Stitch. So the ride is a MUST for him.

I'm really surprised at the number of people who have characterized an attraction as "boring" I can't remember EVER being bored with anything at Disney. Sure, I have favorites and not-so-favorites. There are things that I'll only do if there is no line and others that I'd wait a long time for but even my least favorites are fun on some level (I'm at Disney World for goodness sakes!!!) Perhaps my opinions are colored by the fact that we always go off season and generally have time to ride everything we want once usually many times more than that. Do I love Dumbo - nope, but I do love the absolute JOY that I see in my daughter's face as she rides it for the 4th time. Does the preshow for test track get a little tedious the 8th time through - yes but the belly laughs from the child sitting next to me as we burst out side to do those cool banking turns makes it more than worth it. I know Carousel of Progress, Country Bear Jamboree and the Tiki Room have been there forever but I love that feeling of nostalgia when I hear the songs from my childhood (I know the Tiki Room has been redone - but it's close enough to what I remember) I love sharing my childhood memories with my own kids (last time we were there they both LOVED Carousel of Progress - both begged to do it multiple times!) There's so much new stuff at Disney everytime I go, I really don't feel the need to demand that EVERYTHING old be replaced (I'm getting pretty old myself!!!) To me, a big part of the fun of Disney is to just get in there and have a good time - find a little joy in everything! I ride things with my kids that I wouldn't ride on my own and they do the same for me. A bad day at Disney is still a pretty fine day!!!! So I guess the only thing I don't like to do at Disney is leave to come home!!!:cheer2:

I would have to throw another vote in for Stitch and Drew Carey, which is almost a consensus at this point in the thread. If there was a top 10 list for the biggest waste of time attractions at Disney, they would have to be on it.

Also, the Riverboat, Swiss Family Treehouse, Country Bears, the whole Chester and Hester section of AK, and there are probably a couple others that I am overlooking. I'm not really big on shows so I'd probably add a few shows to the list, those that I have actually taken the time to see.

I happen to like Ellen's Energy mostly because I think the dinosaurs in it are way cool. I could definitely do without the long pre-show.

As for something that I won't personally do again for other reasons than the attraction sucking, ToT. I just don't like the sensation of free-fall.:scared1:

I would also like to put in another vote for a refurb for Jungle Cruise, it needs one bad, some different things added in. I would also like to see Star Tours refurbbed so that the actual ride is more traditionally Star Wars-y, instead of that bumbling annoying robot pilot guy or whatever he is.

This thread is fun though, it's fun to see what everyone's tastes are when it comes to likes and dislikes of attractions, and though there is a lot of agreement for some, there are a lot of differences too. It just goes to show, you can't please everyone.

Blow $8.00 on a Kronenbourg Beer in France!:scared: Man is that stuff wretched!:(

If you see a big brown patch of grass beside the vendor cart in France, you know where the rest of that beer ended up!:sad2:

Universe of Energy.

Man, my son was SOOO excited to go on that ride. We did it during EMH. There were probably 20 people on it with us.

By the end (it's 45 minutes long) myself, my fiance, my youngest and at least 15 other people were asleep.

Too.... much.... ellen!

I totally agree! I really do not like MGM at all...

What I wouldn't do again?

1. Lights Motors Action at the Studios. Way too long; way too headachy.
2. The character meal at Garden Grove in the Swan. Worst character meal (by a mile) in all of Disney.
3. Eat at Tutto Italia in Epcot. Twice as expensive as it oughta be; there are many better choices.
4. Stand in any lines. Life's too short. Fastpass and a good plan can get rid of the need to stand in any lines.
5. Go down Summit Plummet. I did it once, and I can never never ever make myself do it again.

What I would do again?

Everything else!

stitch is the worst - real farts are bad, but fake ones are worse! Olivia's @ OKW - we LOVE LOVE LOVE OKW, but Olivia's just didn't cut it.

I'm so surprised to see Olivias listed several times on here. We ate here for dinner one night on our first trip in 2005 with free dining. It was one of the best meals I've had in all of Disney, although I did see that what I had is now off the menu-it was an awesome filet mignon, topped with crispy fried onions with grilled shrimp on the side. I guess they have cut back over the years :confused3

Last September during free dining we were upgraded to a 2 bdrm at SSR.
SSR is very nice.

We absolutely hated the Artist Palette. We expected a lot more from a DVC resort food court/restaurant.

It's a Small World should be called 'It's a little bit of hell on earth'. Especially when your boat gets stuck for 20 minutes. :scared1:
Honey I Shrunk The Audience. Meh. Not thrilled. It wasn't TERRIBLE, but it sure wasn't worth the long wait to get in.
And I don't think I'd do Animal Kingdom again. It was neat, but not enough to get me back for a second time.
That's it though. Out of four parks and a nine day trip, three things isn't too shabby!

1. Safari ride at AK - I thought it was not that interesting and pretty cheesy! Not worth it in my opinion. I'd rather go to a great zoo where I can take my time seeing the animals.

2. Dinosaur at AK - it scared the you-know-what out of me!

3. Splash Mountain - I'm not a fan of big drops.

I think that's it. :)
