Well, I've had a pretty easy day all things considering.....:rotfl:

Ironman was actually GOOD!! DH and I both liked it. And Robert Downey Jr. was a hottie in it. I never thought of him that way before.;)

The really crappy thing was the amount of LITTLE KIDS in that movie....I mean like 3 and 4 and 5 yr old little kids. What the H**L? I guess we already know people are stupid.:sad2: There was a ton of violence and some bordering on gory torture. NO way should any little kids have seen that. I had to cover my eyes a couple times. It was good but there were some intense scenes. I am glad I went and it made DH happy.:goodvibes

We were out walking and Jo was riding her bike. It's a pretty day for a baseball game, Dawn! :thumbsup2

:)

Hi girls.

My day sounds like everyone else's day. I decided to take the girls to church by myself since dh is in the field. They did pretty good. That went so well that I decided to take them shopping. BAD DECISION. DD3 was terrible. She would not sit in the stroller. Screamed the entire time. Wanted something every second. We finally made it to Lowes to get my flowers. FINAL DESTINATION...woopeee. Well she got worse. She screamed at the top of her lungs and everyone was staring at me. I went to check out and the check out lady said "You have to decide who is going to be the parent." I wanted to choke her.

DD3 finally fell asleep on the way home and I hope she is there for the night.

I pushed her way too far and I came home with an empty wallet and a headache:headache:

Has anyone here used Mears transportation to get from MCO to Disney? Our planner told us that is who they use. Are they good?

Hi Ladies. I am back from the Meet and Greet memorial. I got to meet Julie, Corey, John, and Kevin. I also meet several posters Safetymom, Wildeoscar, and Deb os,..... I met Bob's wife Dianer (written that way on her name tag at her insistence b/c that is what Bob called her) his son and several others. I meet Corey's parents and his sister, very nice people. Pete was sick and could not attend.

Dianer was very gracious. Someone that could share time with strangers so soon after loosing their husband is incredible. I felt like a dork and was at a loss for words when she walked right up to me and gave me a hug. All I could say was "It's nice to meet you, I wish it were under different circumstances. I am sorry for your loss" She told me it was hard and so sudden and she still could not believe it. She told me she was pissed at him for dying this week because she was suppose to stay at the Gaylord a few days and now that she got to see it she was pissed that she was not getting to stay.:sad2:

My sister left her camera in the car and when I asked to go back to the car and get it she said she did not think it was right to be taking pictures. OK, so we went on. There were lots of Dissers with cameras and I told her we should have brought ours. She said "Are you serious. You really want your picture with strangers that you listen to" (she does not listen and is a lurker) What ever. I chatted for a while with a few dissers that I "meet" on the boards and they both offered to take my pics with the team and email me. So nice :goodvibes

My husband is ragging me to have family time so I'm off to watch Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe. It's a gross one, artificial insemination of cows. The only Dirty Jobs I want to watch is "the life of a hooker" or "the life if a stripper" now those are "dirty jobs" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'l be postin later like after the fam is in bed..... that's the only tiem I get any peace around here

Go with Southern Elegance for the limo Lesley. Channing turned me on to them and they are really GREAT!

Thanks for the tip, Brook. I will call them for a quote tomorrow to see if they are comparable.

In other news, we decided to do the VIP service for our MK and DHS days. I was starting to get nervous with everyone saying how busy the parks will be in June and with two little ones and being pregnant it would be well worth it to have someone who knows what they are doing there!

Yes...that's what I was going to say...use Southern Elegance. Mears is not so hot.

HOW RUDE!!! Just wait til she has kids. You know she must not or if she did she was a horrible parent. They are always the ones picking on parents.....the ones that don't have kids or the ones with bigtime regrets...her kids are probably behind bars.:rotfl:

Mandy thanks for the report on the memorial. I am glad you were able to go. That had to be hard. Dianer sounds wonderful. I feel so sad for that whole bunch.

oooh....I wanted to post this little bit...I talked to my concierge CM friend tonight. I told her about the tipping debates. She said her answer would be to "Do what's in your heart"....but be discreet. haha...yes they aren't SUPPOSED to accept tips, but they can and it's appreciated. No WDW cast members are getting rich on their salaries...she didn't tell me that, but I know it for fact. .:rotfl:

So, from our conversation from now on I am going to cash tip the concierge staff or do an American Express gift card. Just on the sly.;)

The GF concierge staff is the best. They add magic to every stay and they deserve more appreciation than they receive. So...that's what I've made up my mind to do from now on - because that's what's in my heart....:rotfl: cash in a sealed envelope with a name on it.:flower3:

Thanks for asking Chan!
Seriously~ I read about that they could be fired if I tried to tip them :confused3 I know good service needs to be rewarded but I didn't want to get anyone into trouble KWIM?

Lesley~ I have the VIP tour guide for 3 days but I am traveling alone with a child and with the crowds I feel more comfy with it.

~Mandy I am glad you could make it today. Hug you dear ones tonight and thank God your still around to fuss at them every day!

Vanessa~ sounds like we had the same kind of day :rotfl:
I am better now. DH was great and took them out for a nice long ride (no he didn't dump them out in the country :rotfl: ) and they went to Sonic for dinner
They brought me back a nice bouquet of flowers and everyone has been super sweet to me tonight.... I am sorry I vented but I know all of you moms have been there and understand "those days" :worship:

Brook, I loved your video; it was very inspiring. I may have to show it to BF, he is trying to lose A LOT of weight (he is just built to be a big guy) and maybe it will help motivate him when he sees the difference!

Channing, I used training wheels on my bike until I was 8 or 9. I was too afraid to try and ride without them until our neigbor made me :rotfl:

Vanessa, People are such creeps. I don't know when being terribly rude started to be acceptable. Ugh...

Mandy, thanks for the report on the memorial. It sounds like it was nice. Sad, but nice. I know on the unplugged boards one of the crew was worried that people would show up and not know about what had happened to Bawb. I hope that didn't happen :(

Lesley, we always use ME, but I have already told BF I would not want to if we had kids. It's a nice, easy service, but sometimes you have to wait a long time and sometimes you are the last stop (Our first experience was very bad; the driver got lost, left the property, cut through the nedian to do a uturn, drove about 10 miles an hour, ran over the curb when making turns, etc.). I would definitely use the limo, especially if I was expecting as well!

Have a good night ladies

For all of you who have attended the dinner at 1900 Park Fare - are the stepsisters and stepmother very scary? We have ressies for May 11.
My DD 6 is a little nervous about going, she is worried they'll be mean.
I told her not to worry about it, that it will be fun, but she doesn't seem too convinced.

We did it in Feb and I was at the dinner with a 1, 4, 6,10 and 13 year old... not one of them was scared. The steps play it up... more like clumsy goofs than anything scary. They are a riot!!!!!! They had our table cracking up laughing and my kids and nice and nephew LOVED them
