DDA Chapter 8

I want to get the lawn mowed this morning after the dew disappears. I also have a few more compositions to work on before I go in to teach this afternoon.

I am very much looking forward to spending time with Tammi and her kids tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be very nice and the trolley ride around our fair city is really enjoyable and educational. Should be a great ending to the week. :)

Tammi - It isn't downtown, but have you taken the kids to Sonic? Is that a fun option for lunch?

No word from Jen about the teaching position? :confused3

.

I think the school administrators met tonight to make the decisions but I don't think she finds out til tomorrow.:confused3

Exactly! From what I was told from others that were waiting for a job, after the board meeting, they post the minutes and the people they decided upon...So hopefully i find out today..But many of my friends also found out before the board meeting that they were being considered--so no idea!!

ill let you know when i know :)

GOod morning all and have a good day

Karen- :wizard: and prayers for your dad.

Elizabeth- Safe travels and :wizard: for a good visit with your mom with very little drama.

Theresa- Continued :wizard: and prayers headed your way.

Jen- Hope you find out something today. :wizard:

Tia- Good to see you pop in!

Deb- Sorry that shirt is giving you a fit.

Tia - you are really busy... I am glad you took some time to play with Terra and Phil!

It was really nice. And the fact that I was actually invited to join in when it was daddy playtime was surprising. She's usually very protective of that time. There was no way I was saying no. :goodvibes

It has been crazy around here trying to balance new work. We leave in the mornings between 6:30 and 7:30 depening on when we drop off Phil. Leave work between 5:30 and 6 with an occassional carryover to 6:15ish, pick up Phil and go home. About half the time Mom has dinner started and the other half I help. By the time dinner's over it's at least 7:30 and I'm already thinking towards bed, let alone the stuff I need to do here. This week has been better though so I think my mind is starting to adjust to how things are working and how they need to work.

Fingers and toes crossed for you!:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

It's very hard to juggle all of that, Tia. But after some time you will get yourself into a routine. Believe it or not, sometimes cereal or waffles or pancakes will even be okay for dinner. ;)

Theresa sending good thoughts your way

Congratulations Terri

Good morning DDA :)

Good morning. :)

I am loving this weather we are having!

Elizabeth glad to hear your mom is home, but I think that is strange they let her go before the Dr. could talk with her :confused3

:yay: for your sister staying put & taking drivers ed!

Have a safe trip tomorrow!
I am going to ditto this!

I don't know if I've said it recently but......Katie is beautiful!!
Thank you!!

there's a thread on the CB about God answering prayers. I am reminded daily that God answers prayers through all of you.:goodvibes

We are still having difficulty here that doesn't really have anything to do with money so I still would love the prayers heading this way.
I believe that too.:goodvibes :goodvibes Sending you good thoughts to resolve whatever you are going through.

::yes:: And she looks just like Anne Marie!
Awwww you are sweet!!! I should post a picture of Dana as a kid, she looks just like him at this age..She is afraid she will end up with his nose when she grows up!:lmao:

and with that..........

Yippie!!!!:woohoo:

Yes, she is... and she looks just like her Mom! :goodvibes
You are too much! :goodvibes Thank you Elin.

Sounds fun!!:cutie:

Deb,
Good luck with the shirts. I have made so many boo boo's with shirts. My kids have alot of pj tops with reversed images, mispelled wording, & burn corners.:rotfl2:

Bernadette,
No, you definately are not the only one with a picky kid!!!:rotfl:

Karen,
 for your Dad.

Jen,
Good luck!!

Janet,
Hope the flood waters are staying away from your area.

Tia,
You sound very busy! I agree with Tammi...anything can be dinner.

Thanks everyone about the kind words for Katie. You always put a smile on my face or give me a giggle to start the day. It wouldn't be the same without you all.

Down at Massaponax? No, we haven't been there yet. Sounds good to me. :thumbsup2

YAY! :yay: We can eat at picnic tables there, I think. So that ought to be fun and their selection is really varied.

Whew! So much going on with everyone that I wanted to make sure I got caught up tonight.

Elizabeth - I'm glad that things are going well with your mom. Hope you have a safe trip tomorrow. Glad too that Diva Girl is staying home for now. Sounds like it is probably for the best. Continued prayers and :wizard: for your mom.

Karen - :wizard: for your Dad. Also, yeah for classes almost ready to start!!

Debbie - Congrats on the continued weight loss. I've kind of stalled for now, but am working to get back on track.

Anne Marie - Glad Katie made it to rehersal. I hope that was the end of whatever this illness was.

Deb - Things are coming along! You're getting so close.

I know that I am missing something big, but I'm at a loss for now. So, loads of :grouphug: and :wizard: all around.

Kristine - :grouphug: and prayers for Jackie and her friend's family. What a hard thing to endure. I hope that Jackie's doing okay.

Today was exhausting. I drove up to fix lunches and pick up Cinderella and BigSis. Turned right back around and drove home to get Terra and Rachel so that we could head to the Wed program at church. We had 36 K-5th graders in our class today and were short 1 adult. So, it was me and Kristi with two almost-helpers (didn't quite get involved enough to be much help). It was CRAZY especially considering that our 36 was at least 20 boys and a little on the wild side at that. After church we came back to the house and took the kids swimming. Momboss picked the girls up here since it's on her way home and I went to get Phil. Mom was watching Kristi's kids for the night so I came with Phil, fixed dinner and helped her load up the kids to take to their house for bed. Cleaned out the fridge, cleaned up dinner and then finally sat down to catch up here. Oh yeah, and I did sneak in a game of Disney Bingo with Phil and Terra. Now I am beat! I'm just glad it wasn't working out to take the kids to Six Flags tomorrow as I don't think I'd have the energy. Instead, we'll hit the free movie and then come home and take it easy. Next week's vacation is sounding soooo nice right about now. Ahhh.....

I'll try to catch up with you all again tomorrow.

It sounds exhausting. I'm sure your vacation is just what the doctor ordered:thumbsup2

and with that..........

Congratulations!!!

Karen, I hope your dad's consult goes well! :wizard: I should be able to meet on July 11.

I would have given up before now! Glad you finally got one together that Chris can wear!

I like that thread, even though God isn't typically my thing.
Sending tons of good wishes your way, Theresa! :wizard:

You've been incredibly busy! I hope you can relax next week!

Thanks!
Momboss came in yesterday and said "I know you don't really drink, but I have all these free drink coupons for SW if you want some." I told her my flight leaves at 6 AM, so even if I DID drink it would still be a bit early. :rotfl2: Then she said "Of course if you started you might not want to stop since they are going to drive you so crazy!" :lmao: It should be interesting! :rolleyes1

Congrats, Terry!

OK, friends! Off I go! I should be able to check in from Mom's. She said there are supposed to be storms today so hopefully my flight won't be delayed.

Good luck on the family front. You will need a vacation by the time you get back. :wizard:

It's very hard to juggle all of that, Tia. But after some time you will get yourself into a routine. Believe it or not, sometimes cereal or waffles or pancakes will even be okay for dinner. ;)

My kids think that breakfast for dinner is the best::yes::

I don't have any great answers as to why the moderates don't have pb&j, but most schools around here won't allow them anymore because if one kid has a severe peanut allergy just having a sandwich in the school puts the kid at risk. Whatever that sandwich comes into contact with such as a table or a kid holding the sandwich and touching a door knob puts makes the allergy child at risk. I'm actually suprised that you can get them anywhere on property. It's not like they have time to properly wash each area between guests.

Theresa we will continue sending prayers and pixie dust your way. How is Jim's second job going?

Jen:wizard:  I hope you hear something today. The waiting must be killing you.

Jennifer good luck getting out of the hospital this morning and getting your beautiful family home.

Amy today looks like a beautiful day to have a baby :rolleyes1 ;)

We have less than 8 days until departure. I feel like I've got a pretty good hand on things. Today I think I'll try to conquer my bedroom. I need to give it a good cleaning and that will give me the opportunity to get all of the electronic things together. I have been charging camera batteries and putting items together as I come across them, but there is more to do.

I need to pack a carryon for Nick and Colby with one of the dvd players, their ds's etc. I haven't charged that dvd player batteries so I will get on that.
It is sunny out, but it is not supposed to be too hot so I can get the camper pulled together too. No work tonight so I should be able to make huge strides provided the kids or um my nephew decides to cooperate today

You always put a smile on my face or give me a giggle to start the day. It wouldn't be the same without you all.

I need to ditto this as I feel the same way! This is the 1st place I come to everyone morning. I wouldn't know what to do if I did not have my home here :goodvibes
