I tried to Google "baby on a wedding cake" but I didn't find anything. If it is a tradition it's not a common one.
Has anybody ever tried to name their own price for airline tickets on Princeline? The biggest pitfall I can see is that DS and I might end up flying out of Dallas really late and essentially lose our first day. So I would almost have to bid to fly out on Thursday and spend one night at Pop before DH arrives Friday AM. Coming home I am sure we would get stuck with the dark o'clock AM flight, but if we can get it dirt cheap it might be worth it. What do you all think? If I do it the tickets we end up with are absolute - no changes, no cancellation, no transfers, no nothing.
I did it once and ended up in Chicago with a three hour layover just to go to Atlanta. I saved 50% on the price.
Elin - Your TR was fabulous! You really made me want to try out the Food and Wine festival. However, I don't drink! Is there enough offered to make it worth my while without the drinks?
So did I!I tried to Google "baby on a wedding cake" but I didn't find anything. If it is a tradition it's not a common one.

It looks cute, Jennifer. Maybe it's just me, but I would capitalize the W in Why.all right what do you all think

It's a kewpie doll, isn't it? Wonder if there is a family connection to it?
The thing is, I have been reading on the Transportation board about Airtran. People are booking non-stop flights and then having them changed to flights WAY later or WAY earlier with a layover. If that's going to happen to me anyway I want it to be CHEAP! It makes me ill to think about paying nearly $900 for 2 tickets.
And by going Thursday it doesn't matter if DS and I lose the whole day in airports.
Coming home might get weird, but we can debate the merits of that over the next few weeks. I am just not ready to take that non-refundable plunge yet.
Jennifer - The invite looks good!

I have a nonstop out of MCO to DCA for my return home flight on Dec. 6. I'll let you know how that goes. Glynis - first of all, let me say that I was VERY glad to read that Alan and Jacob are OK. That was scary sounding to me!
Secondly -- There is a ton of food and no need to drink anything alcoholic. There is a link to the Festival Brochure here: http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...c/parks/epcot/events/foodandwine/F&W_2008.pdf
Check it out... not everything is alcoholic!

Robyn, That date book shows July of 2009, which would be 9 months from the wedding night. I think it was a joke. Maybe not.
