Linda - special mention to you and your friends - what a complete blow that they can't make it, and that they're stuck miles apart from each other fighting in Afghanistan at the time of the cruise OOPS ! Strike that - just read your update - fingers crossed that your friend can cruise with you guys. (and with a significant discount !)

A welcome to everyone who's new, or who's rejoined us recently !

Speaking of DL - in '08 we ate at Ralph Brennans and Goofy's Kitchen (this one obvioulsly not about food...), but never got to any others. DS would love to do Rainforest Cafe for his birthday (was his favourite in Vegas), so I'll call and book a table soon.

Shushh - I meant to ask you, how long before the cruise did your European DCL documents arrive ? Are you having your documents for the PC cruise sent eslewhere ? We leave 12 days before the cruise, so I'm thinking I should arrange to have them delivered to the BWI instead of home. And yes, we may see you at the BWI ? Are you staying club level by any chance ?

Is anyone else announcing the cruise to the kids in an unusual fashion ? I'm trying to think of a good way to tell our lot... We surprised them 2 months in advance for our 08 trip, and it was fantastic to watch their faces light up as it dawned on them where we were going (there's a clip on Youtube ), so coming up with something new will be tricky.

Also need to think of something to send out for the FE girts that's not going to weigh a ton in our bags - lollies may be too heavy if we're doing 100+ cabins. Ack ! Thinking caps on....

How about Storytellers Cafe at the Grand Californian

The Disneyland lunch area outside of Disneyland would make a nice place to meet, that way people can bring their own lunchs from home, buy at one of the restaurnts in DTD or ?? Sunday Oct 24th sounds good to me too.

Just a quick reminder about the Secret Mickey exchange - the deadline to sign up in this Wednesday 9/8/10. Anytime during that day is fine - I won't be starting to figure everyone out until Thursday. I hope to have everyone thier SM assignment by Sunday the 12th.

We love ESPN! It's one of our favorite places to eat.

I love the Cheese fries at ESPN Zone at DTD Anaheim. They are the best. I also love the Shimp Scampi with Penne. Oh man that is great stuff.

We're going to try to do a mini meet and greet at Bay Lake on the 5th for those of us staying at WDW the night before we depart.

Jeff is still working on the Zazzle image. He's a bit swamped right now and not meeting his self-imposed deadlines. He's picking up all the slack from me and school....

Couple if things....

Military deployments suck. Our party of fun on this cruise included two active duty friends of mine who just got married. Right now they're separated over 2000 miles, he's in MS and she's in CA. They're definitely meeting up in January. Just not on the boat. But in Afghanistan. Please keep them in your prayers. Kris is a very dear friend of mine. She kept me in line and straight when we were stationed together. Our cruise was suppose to be their honeymoon. Sadly, they won't even really see each other in Afghanistan as she'll be at the main airbase and he'll be in the middle of no where. This seriously sucks.
Remember, freedom isn't free. Someone has to pay for it.

I really have no desire to talk about this cruise right now. I think Jeff and I are going to drop off the radar for a bit....

Want to reintroduce myself, I am Val and my DH is Bob. We are excited to be booked on the PC trip. We are also on the transatlantic cruise leaving on the 18th, from Barcelona. That cruise is taking up most of my time but we certainly are looking forward to this cruise and meeting all of you. If you wouldn't mind, could someone please explain how/if this group is doing an FE exchange? If you are doing an exchange are you broken down into small groups or exchanging with the entire group?

Len and I were away up North over the weekend, len done a marathon(clever dick), I done a half, I beat my pb by 3 mins, I managed 2hrs 11mins
I am pretty pleased, more pleased really that after missing 2 races because of injuries I have struggled to fix out my achillies problems.... I actually managed to finsih.

Our son is doing the Great North Run next month. He started running a couple of years ago and has got up to some pretty good times, that I can't remember at the moment!!!

Shoshie - where east are you heading? Without our patriarch for the first time, i'm having trouble getting everyone together (my sister and nieces with us. 2 of my kids are away one on the Wonder and one at school so he'll go home with somoene local).

Youve told me before your son is doing gnr I think, I loved the gnr, my fav race Ive ever done, I loved it, great atmosphere, too busy though for a good time tell him.

I'm allowed to have senior moments nowadays!!! I did wonder if I had already mentioned it!!

How do you feel today after the run? Are you working? How is the packing/organising going?

That is SUCH good news. It is so hard when they don't feel well.

Not much to report here. Sunny today - naturally, since it is a work day. What a crappy weekend - glad my menu was not for the grill yesterday. But, I think that fall is in the air. Friday I leave for Tampa to deliver a puppy to a very dear friend. Can't wait to see her - and the puppy. Just a short trip as I will be returning home on Monday.

Good luck to those trying to book Palo and excursions this evening. I had originally thought I would come into the office but I really think I will just stay home and hope for the best. Our PC is slow and the internet is even slower - ummm, maybe I just talked myself into it. We shall see.
