Hello fellow November travelers!!! I am happy to say that we are at 9 weeks today!!!!!!
Got a tiny start on some of our Travel stuff yesterday!! Got toothbrushes for $1 at Walmart and a couple of packs of gum....still deciding on what snacks we are putting in the snack baggies this year....Got it all in a huge Disney bag that came from the Disney store!! We are very excited!!! Hope you all hace a great weekend...

We are going the week before and the week after Thanksgiving. Doing a split stay at multiple WDW resorts, as well as off-property.

Just wanted to make a quick stop in and update you all on my Grandma. She passed away yesterday afternoon. I had just left when it happened but I was on the phone when it did. After I posted my last update, things went drastically down hill. None of the meds she was on worked the way it was suppose to. Other meds they tried didn't work either. One even made her go a bit crazy. It was horrible. But we all stayed by her side at all times. Our family is very small, so we are all very close. Loosing grandma was a major hit for us because she was our backbone. But at the same time, it was a relief to know she will never have to suffer again. And I know she is in heaven. If there was anyone going there is was her! We joked what took so long in her finale days was that God was trying to decide what to do with her.

Service will be on Monday. I am not sure I will be on anymore until then. So keep us in your prayers while we lay her to rest.

Thanks! We'll be at the Poly for a few days, then POR, then at a Marriott condo, then back on property for the last two days of the trip. Right now we're booked at the Contemporary for the last two days but might switch to AKL.

Hope everyone had a good Saturday, we spent the afternoon and evening at a festival and got to see some great fireworks (always wishing the castle were in front when I see a fireworks display)

Today is a bitter sweet day for me -

3 years ago today my dad lost his epic battle with cancer (friends of mine kid that he should have been the poster boy - 4 different types of cancer over his life-time).

But today is also my 2 month out date

This trip is actually being taken in honor of my mom and my roommate's brother who both passed away in 2009. The closer the date come the more excited we are to get to take this vacation from our lives and just spend a week being kids again.

I'm actually starting my first ever Disney list - what I would like to buy. I have some Christmas shopping I want to get done while there plus things I want for me so to help me budget I'm writing down what I want and what I'm willing to spend...

Next step in the trip is look at the weather and start to buy new clothes (Vacations for me always means new sleep-wear and I want to look nice for 2 of our ADRs so new shirts perhaps too)

July was a year that I lost my youngest DS , our trip this year is in rememberance of him, we always spoke of going at Christmastime, and like your trip it is to celebrate Life and leave the harsh realities of everyday life behind if only for a short time but never forget those that we love who are no longer with us.

Your father sounds like a real fighter.

I love buying new items for vacation also, infact have been doing that for a few months now, only thing I still need to pick up are a new pair of sneakers, socks and underwear, and maybe an end of season bargain swimsuit
