First Week of December at the Poly!!!

We just added 2 days to our vacation Dec. 5th and 6th at the Poly and then we are going to the Yacht Club.

This time because of the flight we are checking in probably before 6. I always like to check in by 3 and worse dh has not made any longhouse request. I would like Samoa that we had in may as usual.

It will also be dark when we check in, that will be a first for us.

I'm just excited for all of you repeat Poly guests! We just got back from a trip and so I'm sad we have to wait until next year right now, unless something crazy changes our schedule! I'm crossing my fingers for a few days at the poly next december though, it's still one of my favorite places to be on property too!

I did it, I cancelled one night at the end of our Poly stay. But, there is a new twist. My husband told me to arrange it for us to spend 2 full weeks in Disney. So...we are booked Nov 20 - 28 at Music and then we continue over to the Poly on Nov 28 - Dec 4.

I am still in disbelief we are taking such a long vacation, but DH has the time to take or he will lose it. We have only added a couple hundred to our lodging expenses. My plan is to tour as much as possible while at Music, then relax and enjoy myself at the Poly. Hope for late nights staring at the castle and fireworks, making the club level TPV worth the expense.

Thank you for your support. Yes, I will be sad whenever I leave Poly, but now I am sure to enjoy every minute I am there

Great strategy! While I have not stayed CL, the TPV is soooo worth it!! Nothing like lying in bed and watching the castle change colours after having watched the fireworks from the comfort of your own room.

Online check in tomorrow!!! I have a busy week coming up, so I hope that I don't forget anything. I keep checking lists, but something is bothering me....not sure what.

I just did a treasure hunt with my 3 children and they learned that their original 3 night stay was extended to 5 at the Poly of course. Mommy needed some extra time.

Also, for all of you that may be there on Nov. 30th...her is a link to the possible Space Shuttle Launch that may happen while we are there!! If this is a go I will be setting my alarm and heading for the beach...I may need to get a better camera....

Thanks for sharing the thread. I would really like to see the launch, but don't think even I can make it up at 4:00 a.m. to watch it and I really am a morning person.

So close now to the single digits. Can barely stand it.

Thanks for the heads up on the shuttle! I did just read that since this is not a firm date & NASA has just discovered a new crack it may not happen while we are there. Hoping we will get to see it!

We're bringing some Disney Christmas window clings, so if you're hanging around the beach side of Hawaii, look for Tink, Lightning and (I think) some Christmasy princesses on the patio/balcony door!! If we're on the first floor (requested), I'll leave a little notepad on our patio for DISer notes!!!

I will have to try and remember that. I was hoping we'd spot you at the pool, but with the temperatures forecast I'm not so sure about that. We may be Canadian, but even we have our limits - 62, not pool weather!

Bummed out that the reservation site is down for maintenance again - I was all psyched up to do our online check-in for our arrival night at POP. Guess I'll try again later ... and for Poly tomorrow!

Our room with be on the beach side too. So once we get there I will take a walk out on the beach and see if I can spot y'all.

We're from New England and our ocean temps are usually pretty chilly so a heated pool will be just fine for us even if air temps are lower than we'd like.

These are the times I wish the Poly had a hot tub, though. Yeah, yeah, human petri dish, but it's soooo nice on the muscles after a day in the parks and a "chill" in the air.

I have the greates TA in the world! Not only did she hand deliver our documents to my house, she gave us a drawstring tote bag, hand sanitizer that I can clip on to my purse, a $20 gift card, a neck wallet and 2 autograph books! Wow!

So all the posts about the cooler weather and pool are making me laugh. I grew up on Georgia and now am in NC. That is as far north as I ever want to be. While all of you are in the pool, I will be the one in long sleeves and a winter coat.

I will be on the beach side of Hawaii too so I will definitely be looking for the window with the clings.

Watching the forecast is quite entertaining. I'm curious to know on what they base their predictions that the temperatures swing so dramatically from day to day (by 15 degrees?!!). Of course when I see sun and 79/80 I KNOW that is the correct forecast!
