The Magic, the Memories and the Food! February11 Update July 23 WPuck's Express

Oooh I'm glad you posted the review of the lobster eggs benedict as I was toying with the idea last year whether to get that or the normal one, it looks yummy but after trying lobster at Narcoosees am glad I didn't get it in the end.

Love GF Cafe for breakfast, its so quaint and a hidden jewel as not many people either know or go here. Glad you enjoyed it though :)

GF Cafe is a hidden gem for every meal! :thumbsup2 We've had breakfast, lunch and dinner there and it was always wonderful!

As for the lobster - I hated the lobster at Narcoossees! It was tough as old boots and had a funny taste. But the one at the GF Cafe were little junks and it was soft and sweet and yummy!
Maybe you should give it another try! ;)

Maybe, it will be hard to though as that eggs benedict was delicious and I can't convince Dave to go for it as he loves his steak and eggs

Maybe they could make you half a portion of the one and half of the other - I have seen them do things like that before. And remember ...... you WILL BE CELEBRATING you wedding - I am sure they will come up with something! :thumbsup2

Hmm thats not a bad idea, you may be on to something there :teeth:

Yum. It all looks so good. I just always love the dessert party pictures. I hope we have some great treats like that for our Epcot one.

Am glad you ended up at GFC for breakfast as it looks so nice.

Yay on making the perfect choice with the Lobster Eggs Benedict! :thumbsup2

Great review Karen. I used to love Flame Tree when they had the wings. I miss them.

Oh, I wanted to invite you to ready my food trip report. I started with a preview, there is a link on my signature.

I love your reviews not so much for the food, but because your love of Walt Disney World shines through!

We never had wings at FTB! I guess we discovered it too late.

You sure should add it to your 65th trip! And I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, so they won't let the Creme Brulee curdle that day! ;) :lmao:

Day 8, February 26

Karamell Kuche

Once we arrived at the MK we found out that it was PACKED, so after some time we hopped on the Monorail and went over to Epcot.

Once there we went on a few rides and when we walked World Showcase we again stopped in Germany to pick up another bag of Caramel Corn (which never made it home, due to an older man who was constantly shuffling around the luggage on the plane until some of our stuff fell out and the corn covered the airplane floor) and a

Caramel and Marshmallow roll. To be honest it was quite nice, but sickly sweet.

Next up: Liberty Inn

Day 8, February 26

Liberty Inn

Tom was not feeling all too well that day, having a funny stomach feeling and a headache from being in the sun too long the day before, but we decided to share a burger at the Liberty Inn to hold us over until our very late lunch at Wolfgang Puck's Express.

We were surprised to easily find a table after we had picked up the

Angus burger topped with smoked ham, bacon, smoked Gouda cheese, red onion, tomato, pickle, lettuce and mustard aioli sauce. It is one of their "new" designer burgers. The burger was cooked nicely, still juicy, but the bacon could have been more crisp. All the flavours worked quite well together, the only downside being the "bun" which disintegrated once you picked it up.

One more meal at WDW to come and then we were on our way home .......

I am so sad that your report is almost over! I don't generally read regular trip reports but popped over to yours to see when your next dining review will be and see that a couple of days of our trips overlap! Maybe with a bit of pixie dust our paths will cross! :cloud9:

Love the pic of the Caramel and Marshmallow Roll though have to agree that it does look quite sweet! Oh no on the Caramel Corn falling all over the airplane floor.

The Liberty Inn burger looks very nice. I'm also sad that this DR is coming to an end. Can't wait to read your next one! :)

How weird that, out of all the yummy food you have eaten and delicious-looking pictures you have posted, the one that has me salivating is the Citrus Salad at the GF Cafe. It looks awesome! In fact, I am really craving grapefruit right now - and I blame you ;)

The burger at Liberty Inn looked nice except when will WDW catch on and get rid of those horrible, cardboard-y, sawdust-y burger buns - bleurgh!

Just wanted to say I have loved all the reviews and think it is wonderful you have such a great adult relationship with Tom and can travel together. My oldest two are off to college together in a few weeks and I hope as they grow older, they keep their love of Disney and each other strong!

Can't wait until your next report! Hope your upcoming trip will be fabulous!
