Another poster I was wondering about who stopped posting suddenly was the lady with all the dogs (and I think a horse) in FL who loved Chef Mickeys. I think her username might've been luvchefmickeys. The last I remember her posting was that one of her dogs had gotten loose and was on the run and she was having trouble finding him. She was quite upset. Anyone else remember or know anything about her? I believe her name was Ruthie.

Maybe I'm just a cynic, but that's kinda creepy unless they were close in real life. I wouldn't want some rando from the internet showing up at my door! Eeek. Not to say it wasn't done with good intentions, but just to piece together the puzzle like that and find someone out.

Yeah, I didn't quite understand it myself. I don't know if they discovered at some point that they lived near each other and exchanged info or what. All I remember is that she was going to check on him because everyone was so worried. She never came back here. Someone else had his phone number and tried calling, but he was not returning calls. In that case, I believe Willie gave his number to that person.

I agree,and I would probably not come back to a site if a random internet stranger just showed up at my door without some sort of prior notice.
I had something happen years back, in my twenties I was into 4 wheelers and a member of several sites. Me and some real life friends were going riding and their was a thread on a forum about whose riding this weekend. I responded and described my ride. Met up in the trails but it got creepy whenever he knew where I lived, commented on our trucks that were not their, mentioned seeing us at my friends house weeks prior, seeing us out and about. I was like yeah, get away from me. A friend asked later if I had ever posted that info, he and I signed in, did a search, and I had not. Sometimes the creepiness of the internet becomes real, I canceled my account their and have never been back.

She didn’t have an address but they lived in the same small town and both knew where the other lived, or the vincinity anyway as it was discussed online. No stalking. Whether she did visit or pop a note in the letterbox well who knows. A few DISers had contact information direct from Willy prior to him leaving the boards.

I worry about Ruthie too. I hope she's OK. She was really upset when her dog ran off. It looks like she hasn't posted since 2015.

I remember that. Wasn't her user name something Beauty? Her and Willie seemed to have enough of a relationship where it would not have been creepy for her to check on him. Maybe she did, they fell in love, and they set off on some grand adventure...or maybe not.

I never really thought it was stalking, I just didn't know how she got his address. She obviously knew his exact address, and not just the vicinity, since she was going to check on him. I know Willy was in contact with some outside of the boards, so I wouldn't be surprised if he gave out his personal info to those he trusted. I just wish we knew that he was okay.

I think more concerning than King Schultz's disappearance from the boards is that OctoberBeauty went to check on him and then she also disappeared. Like, really? What the hell happened to her? I don't know where they live, but people might want to check that town for doorways to the upside-down or something.

This thread makes me think we should all have "DIS next of kin" who can track us down IRL to let the boards know we're okay. Lol. If anyone ever starts missing me, ask @ronandannette my whereabouts. She has enough of my personal info to find me.
