I love credit cards so much!

I wish I could get you tickets. It might not even work out for all of us. He is trying to get all four of us tickets but it might just be my husband and 14 yr old daughter going, while my 9 year old and I do something else. It's like getting tickets to the Oscars -- almost that hard!
Yes we missed the cutoff by 3 days to apply for a chance to get tickets for this year. We have a shot to get 2019 tickets but no guarantee.

Thanks for the input! I have identified a flight that will cost 94k for the four of us one way, but I"m short 26k and I'll need that shortfall in a hurry because they may go up or sell out. The trip is in mid July so if I get one for him now it is possible we'll get the points by February.

Is there a way I could get a referral bonus? I haven't found a link for that.
I don’t know if there is a referral link. If you have AMEX MR, you could transfer to JetBlue. The bonus just expired... it was 250 MR to 250 TB points. Now it’s 250 to 200.. plus a transfer fee which is why I’m putting all my spend on Chase since they don’t charge you fees to transfer to US Airlines.

Our budget for hotel pre-cruise in January is about $500 so researching a bit for a AmEx offer. I'm not thrilled with pre-paying for a room but 10k MR points is tempting. Is there any easy way to check locations of the hotels on AmEx travel? The path I went I'm not seeing a map feature on the site. There a couple areas we'd like to stay near but their cities are spread out and without a map it's hard to tell if they're close to where we want just by city name. Also, any pitfalls to prepaying with AmEx? Sounds like I can still use the hotel cancellation policy but is it difficult to get the charge refunded if we had to cancel?

Sigh, someone got my CSP card number and charged $390 to a plumber on the other side of the state. I've only ever had Navy Federal and USAA cards until I started this game and NFCU has been great at catching fraud charges before I even see them. I caught this right away, Chase does have a nice and easy online dispute filing. They called me within about 15 minutes. The only part I didn't quite get was the "do you think someone has your credit card number? would you like the card replaced?" Well, hmm, let me think about that. Isn't that an obvious step in this situation?

Then I had a little scare when I logged in to Chase again tonight and my CSR was unavailable and all my UR were missing. I thought for sure they went and removed the wrong card and somehow screwed up my UR at the same time. Deep breath, log out and back in again, and everything is as it should be.

Between this and snow in central Texas, it's been quite a day.

I think in the last five years I’ve had my cards misused at least twice a year (Amex, Chase, and Capital One). It’s a full time job keeping an eye on everything. But it’s always resolved painlessly. Glad you csr and UR points are safe!

Spending $8,667 on Amazon through the JetBlue partners portal will get you there, preferably using some Chase cards for which you’re trying to meet minimum spend.

That's a lot of money to spend in only a few months. I"m sure not possible for us. I think the JetBlue card while they are still offering the 60k will probably be doable because they put the miles in the account as soon as you hit the $1000 spend. I think I'll apply for my husband today. I think I should get those tickets on UAL for our return as well, in case the business class goes up to $1500 - around $650 now. I need to buy 3 and use miles for the 4th one.

DH and I both got the 60k JetBlue card. I already met my spend . His card arrived today. With family pooling it’s an easy 120,000 trueblue points. I just used 29,000 points (7200 pp) to book our flights back from Orlando to bwi for August 2018. JetBlue wanted 11000 points to fly from MCO to Newark. Picked BWI instead and am using Amtrak points to get us from BWI to Philly.
If you have an airport that JetBlue uses as a hub, the card is a no brainer. We live within reasonable distance to Phl, ewr, bwi and even jfk(JetBlue hub) so made sense for us.
Funny, BWI is our home airport and I never think to look at Jet Blue with it being a SW hub and having CP. I'll have to remember to look at them.

I"m not seeing the Jetblue 60k offer anywhere. Did they discontinue it? I think they did! Should I still get the card for my husband for the 30k points which will fill in the shorfall we have of 26k. I don't see any other way, except to pay out of pocket the $650 shortfall and get a different card for him, such as CSR. I"m trying to accumulate starpoints, though so that won't help me with my short term goal (this summer vacation).

Of course I need United miles as well but I have enough saved right now for one ticket and I am thinking I should just buy the tickets while the price for the others is doable.

Edit: Just applied and he got approved!

Random comment - Newegg has $100 Lowes cards discounted to $90 again. Limit 1. You can double dip with the Amex offer ($15 back off $75 purchase). They ran this a couple weeks ago and sold out very quickly!

Is this the card you are applying for? https://www.barclaycardus.com/apply...ignId=2245&cellNumber=28&referrerid=PTREM1117

Just curious...is anyone maxing out the Walmart.com and Best Buy Chase Pay promos? As far as I can tell, if you have all 4 UR earning cards, you'd end up with 13K from Walmart and 16K from Best Buy. It's so tempting, but I'm not currently in a position to float that much up front for gift cards. Please tell me someone here is taking advantage so I can live vicariously through you!

Did the $325 spend and got properly credited (6%) with my CF . Idk though a little hesitant to try with the CFU since I'm almost finding Chase to be a little stingy with their points....

Should have been 10x if you used Chase pay, right?
I've been working on maxing mine out...my CSR and Freedom and my DH CSR. We've got DVC dues coming up next month. It's money I'd spend anyway. Why not get 10 pts/$!

The Chase Freedom actually breaks down like this: 1x normal spend, 4x Walmart Q4 bonus up to $1,500, 5x Chase Pay bonus up to $325. If he's already maxed out on the Walmart Q4 bonus, he only gets 1x+5x for the Chase Pay promo.

Yes. But I had already spent my $1500 for this quarter.
