I love credit cards so much!

I just got the 70k AA Biz offer. Working on MSR now. I think it’s a good deal. DH had this card last year, Bonus was 60k. I hate calling and never have luck with matching offers, so I went with the 70k offer.
The Citi Card does not preclude you from getting Barclays Card (I held both CitiAA and Barclay Aviator simultaneously) but Barclays may or may not report biz cards to personal credit

I just got this as well - 70K AA Biz with AF waived. I think it expires next week. I am planning to DH a card. I am pretty leery of asking to be matched since my experience with the IHG card (got the 60K offer and even after sending a screen shot of the 80K offer was denied by 2 different Customer Reps). @striker1064 suggested getting matched.

Good luck whichever way you go.

Thank you both! That actually makes me feel much better, I hate to leave points/money on the table so to speak, but the straight 70k offer seems so much less stressful! Will probably apply in the next day or so and report back. No support links, correct? I checked reddit but didn't see any.

Ooh, glad I asked about the Barclay! Seems like such a good offer but not worth the risk most likely!

Do you mean through your loyalty account? I haven't done hotels since last year but we stayed at several and I was not able to see any of our reservations through our loyalty accounts.
First I looked at my loyalty account and didn't see it. But figured it might not show there. Then I logged out of my account and checked on the main hotel site. Still has Reservation not found. Maybe I'll call to verify. It just makes me a little nervous as we will have traveled over 13 hours that day and will be beat when we go to check in. I would not like to hear that we don't have a room at the end of the day.

Yeah... after looking at the apptonight at the wait times for DAH... think I'm going to book it and try to surprise Dh.. I was pretty torn about when to buy because were going to upgrade to APs on our trip and you save $30ish a ticket... but now i dont want to miss out!

I am following along on the DAH thread and none of them have sold out this summer. Of course, I haven’t checked to see about last night yet. But it seems you may not need to rush on the tickets. It isn’t widely advertised. I only know about it because of the DIS...and I consider that a good thing.

I started following it just the other day. I think someone said last night was not a sell out either. I'm torn because we'd do September, so on one hand it's a Thursday but on the other it's the last one right now/only one that month... And then do I pay with my discounted gift cards or wait for my Hilton Biz to come? :) But I saw as @kmc8826 mentioned to me several people on that thread saying they were able to get the difference back when they upgraded to APs after buying their tickets.

I'm in checking the boards between working on my yard. Its going to be 91 here today and its cloudy right now so more bearable to be out. (Yes, I'm slathered in sunscreen and wearing my hat and shades.) Same temp as Orlando but it always feels hotter there to me.

Anyway, I always hear that biz cards don't report to your personal credit.

Well, my score that I get on my SPG card through Amex dropped 7 points, and the reason is 'too many new accounts recently opened'. June was the Marriott biz. Last card before that was Marriott personal in Dec 2017. My score is still high - 831. But the 'too many' kinda freaks me just a tad, as I have card opening plans.

Is Chase sharing info with Amex and vice versa re: SPG and Marriott? Is that in any way possible? I guess I need to pull all my free credit reports and take a look at what's on there.

Today was successful. I had three Fastpasses at Epcot and then @bernina trasnfered me fastpasses for Alien Swirling Saucers and TSMM. Unfortunately, Slinky Dog went down but when we got off TSMM at 10:25 we saw it up and running. we ran and made it on the standby line before the park closed. It only was about a 25 min wait. It’s such a fun family coaster and it’s pretty intense considering the 38in height requirement. Toy Story Land was dead at 10 PM for a 10:30 closing. One person was ahead of us at Woodys lunchbox. 10 min waits for TSMM and AS2 at about 10:15. Definitely would recommend doing the land right before closing. It looks cool at night too.

So i’m Now rethinking our DAH plan. I read Josh’s article about how great getting there super early was so that was my plan. Super early sat morning at HS, midday nap, DAH that night. Now I am thinking we do HS on arrival day instead (Friday) and stay late. Sleep in or do AK sat am (undecided), and dah that night. Think we are gonna sleep in and do a bit of pool time Sunday morning and then fly home. I don’t want to do a park and be all gross and sweaty for our flight.

Going to Sesame Place next weekend and we like the SpringHill Suites thats right near the park. Marriott direct is 60,000 points. CSR is 30k points for the stay (2 nights). I have DW's new CSR with the 300 travel credit. Thinking of breaking it up and doing 14k URs and the rest will be $300 exactly on her new CSR to get the travel credit out of the way. Thoughts on a better way?

Yeah, I'm not sure if it's worth asking for a match above 70k, because typically Citi will only match AA up to 70k or 75k. But you can try asking for the biz card to be matched to 75k. It takes only a minute to send the message and the worst that will happen is they'll say no.

Believe me, asking Citi's reps for a match is nothing like asking Chase's reps (in the case of the IHG card). Chase can be iffy on what they will or won't match. Citi almost never even asks for proof and often adds miles to your account immediately. There's no need to be wary - you won't get your account shutdown for asking or anything like that.

This is an odd rumor that has persisted despite, from everything I and anyone else who researches it can find, being based only one or two unconfirmed and possibly misinformed DPs from when the AAviator Biz was first introduced. Barclays biz cards do not report to your personal credit (aside from the hard pull showing up, like any other biz card). You are safe to apply for the AAviator biz and still keep your 5/24 status intact. There are multiple DPs confirming it does not appear on your personal credit report.

I think the scores you get from the credit card companies and free credit monitoring services are "FACO" scores. They'll give you a good idea what your credit looks like, but take it with a grain of salt. I also wonder if "too many new accounts" refers to your Marriott personal, but should be considered relative to average consumers who may go for years without opening a new credit card. Pulling your real credit reports should give you some clarity.

DoC's rumor seems to suggest Chase might share info re Marriott bonuses with Amex for the SPG Lux, but a lot of comments on /r/churning dismissed that idea. Consensus seemed to be that no way would Chase share that kind of proprietary info with a competitor, and its more likely if Amex is going to use Marriott bonuses as a bar to signups for the SPG Lux, Amex could get info from Marriott about who received a signup bonus in the past 24 months.

Thanks! I've been reading the DOC comments and it does seem like it shouldn't count against 5/24, but seems harder to be approved for biz card, especially with recent inquiries. So now thinking I should try for Barclay card first, then Citi. However, Citi to has a higher bonus. Decisions, decisions...

Unless I’m looking at the wrong Sesame Place, if there is more than one. It looks like The Hyatt Place is 16 miles away and 8,000 points/ night. If you create a Hyatt account the UR points transfer instantly. I believe they also have free breakfast. They get good reviews on TripAdvisor.

Edit: Some reviews mention this is an older hotel and not especially friendly staff.

My ebay auction ended last night and my item sold. The buyer just paid, but also sent a message asking why the shipping is so high, and left feedback already that my shipping is too much :badpc::badpc::badpc:

I have it set to calculate based on where the buyer is...
is there a way to reply about their feedback? If so, you could comment that you appreciate their business and they may have noticed that the shipping is based on the weight of the item and the buyers location using ebay's shipping calculator.

I like night touring. It’s so much cooler. I was gross this am within 10 mins of leaving my hotel room. What time is your flight? I tour the parks on departure day but I change clothes in the bathroom at the hotel lol.

@disneymagicgirl I don't get it. I don't buy things either if I don't like the shipping, or consider it part of the overall item cost! It would say on the darn page! I don't know about the feedback because I've only sold a few things. I'll have to look.

This just feels extra frustrating because I sold these exact items last Spring, similar price/similar shipping, with no issues.

I went with Fedex, just because I was going to see if I could trigger the AMEX offer because I got a 25% one. I checked and it came up within 50cents of USPS for every zip code I put in Ebay's calculator. For some reason, this person it's charging $5 more than USPS. :confused3

But again, shipping is shown on the darn auction page. Not my fault if they don't read it...

Yep, I first blew my back out running - overtraining after my first half.

So now I have to take it much easier. Glad you were able to make that flight. The last time we went to Hawaii I was terrified of a flare up but I was okay (I was also in lie flight first, which helped I'm sure). Next summer to Barcelona I will not be lie flat - but hopefully I can get on a more regular regime to get things normal before then. I need to up my core workouts and start up daily yoga again.

I have never been to a chiro but everyone tells me I should!

Sorry to threadjack everyone!

I agree with @Judique about the chiropractor. I've been going over 20 years thanks to a car accident in hs. It twisted vertebrae in my neck and due to normal use of my neck, being down taking tests in school or normal work it gets out of whack. My neck could go at least 4 weeks between adjustments. My back used to be more straight than it's supposed to be and we've fixed that. The muscles didn't like it but got used to it, though I wonder if it isn't part of the problem. I had back spasms a couple years ago and got it taken care of but I think because the muscle issue is in the same spot that it's related. I wish I could get massages more often than I do as that really helps, but I find the one at my chiro to be better than going elsewhere. There's a chance, depending on your medical insurance, that both chiro and massage would be covered, though you generally have to get a referral for the massage. One thing to keep in mind, the first visit is always good to use ins because of xrays etc, but after that for adjustments compare their cash price vs copay. Mine the cash price is 39 and my copay was 40 so it wasn't worth using the ins and they are fine with that. I also like that my chiro is a runner and has other runners as patients so we plan around things when necessary.
